I've been to a lot of different Bath & Body Works locations and simply can not recommend anyone going to this one! I got a flier in the mail about the big sale going on, so wanted to go stock up on the Wallflower room fragrances.
Since it was 2 days after Christmas and I wanted to avoid the insanity of Valley Fair, I decided to check out the Cupertino Square store. It's the size of a shoebox, much smaller than any other B&BW stores I've been to. The store was absolute bedlam with products everywhere and it was just a mess. I have been a retail bitch at Christmas time and know how much it sucks, but this store looked like a hurricane had run through it.
My big draw was the Wallflowers were on sale. A sign indicated that some special ones weren't on sale, but there were huge tubs under the $5 Wallflowers sign. I spent about 15 minutes sifting through to pick scents I liked. I then waited in line about 15 minutes only to discover that the scents I chose were not on sale. This thoroughly ticked me off, since there were at least 10 packages of the scent in the sale area.
Now anyone working retail knows that if the store makes the boo-boo, you must honor the price. I overheard them telling another customer who was also complaining that this location was not allowed to adjust prices. I wasn't nasty to the clerk, but made it clear that it was certainly a way to tick off customers.
Interesting thing - my friend calls me today to ask what scents I wanted, since the store she was in had them all for $5!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Vivien W.San Francisco, États-Unis3517924 mars 2006Prem's
Few women can resist a Bath & Body Works sale, especially the New Year's one. This is where you stock up on all your anti-bacterial foaming or non-foaming soaps in all manner of delicious smelling flavors, or get your whipped creams and lotions for the dry winter months. I'm glad that BBW started to carry other lines; they have Henri Bendel NY (great candles), Le Couvent des Minimes (awesome face masks, although slightly creepy looking--they are disposable cloth masks), C.O. Bigelow (Kiehl's-like products), Breathe (uniquely fragranced lotions like ginger verbena), plus loads more. At the risk of total olfactory confusion and overly lotioned hands, spend some time sniffing, lathering and lotioning up (some stores have sinks so you can wash off the residue). Your senses will thank you.
