      This place is so awesome!!
The restaurant is a little hidden and looks a bit run-down, but once you get their food you won't regret coming here. I mean... each dish is around 5 dollars to 8-9 dollars. THAT'S EVEN CHEAPER THAN PHO OR CHIPOTLE!! HOW GREAT IS THAT?

Parking is easy, and it's so close to H-mart-- you can do some grocery shopping after your belly is full and happy. :) I got seated right away and food came maybe less than 10 mins. Their staffs were friendly and respectful.

I got mool mandoo and kalgooksoo. Mandoo itself is a bit small as a main meal but as an appetizer it is a great portion. Their kalgooksoo was big and tasted very home-made-like. It didn't come with side dishes except two different kimchies (they were okay) probably because I ordered kalgooksoo. And.. the total came to be around 12 after tax which is very rare for korean food.

I am definitely coming back to try different kind of dumplings and their kimbap (I really wanna try tuna kimbap next time). My mouth gets watery thinking about their food again hehehe :D I definitely recommend this place to big groups, small groups, family members, friends, coworkers-- anyone that enjoys food!

      Kalgooksoo (knife noodles?)
      Mool mandoo! (Boiled water dumplings)

Oh Mommy, I love you. You're so kind to me yesterday when I walked into your restaurant and I disrupted you from watching your late afternoon Korean soap opera but your smile was so sweet and sincere. I feel so welcomed for my 1st visit here your service is first class all the way. You even come to my table to check on me and make sure I eat all your food that you prepped for me. Oh Mommy!

      Ist dish - Tong Dumpling
You brought out a plate of awesome dumplings and generous portion. The dumplings are very delicate and not too overpowering in flavor but dipped into the sauce they are perfectly pair together.

      2nd dish - Chol Noodles
First bite into this dish and my taste buds exploded with so many different flavors. I asked myself "Mommy, what did you put into this?". So yummy and big portion too.

Mommy, you fed me well yesterday and I'm stuffed walking out of your place. I miss you already and I promise I will be back soon mommy.

      Delicious food, really nice atmosphere!

Let's start with the dumplings, we got the kimchi, spicy and mommy' house dumplings! The kimchi is wrapped in wonton with a kimchi and pork filling, mommy's dumpling is just like a hum bao, with its fluffy bread, and the spicy dumpling was good and spicy

I got the bibim noodles, it's a cold noodle dish and it was no lie delicious! Mixed in with the cold noodles were apples, seaweed, cabbage, omelette egg slices and lettuce, tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce!! So yummy!

Boyfriend got the stir fried squid noodles, we both thought it'll be "squid noodles" but it was squid stir fried and in the middle of the noodles and you had to mix the noodles and still very delicious!

Friend got the omu fried rice, and that took quite a while for it to come out but all in all, he like it and killed it in 5 mins!

Their portions were huge for the price we paid! Service was kinda of slow because they were under staffed but it was still very good! Definitely recommend!

I am vegetarian, and there was no vegetarian dish specifically listed on the menu. This caused me some concernbut the chef came out of the kitchen, ask about my dietary restrictions, and made me a fantastic vegetarian bibimbap. It was stellar.

I love the shiitake mushrooms and spinach that came in the bowl along with rice Crusted to the bottom of the stone sizzling pot. All the usual condiments. I will go back here in a heartbeat.

Large portions at budget friendly prices.

My mom and I ordered mool dumplings, soondae dukbokki (current special item), kal noodle soup, sujebi soup, and odeng. All items were $5 or less except for the soondae dukbokki. With tip we paid around $35.

The noodles and dumplings are handmade. If nothing else, try these!

I know this place is closed but I wanted to show my love for it anyway. I just moved to this state and this place was the first restaurant that I tried. It was love at first bite. You took care of me when I felt lost and hungry. Your service was excellent and your family was so kind to me every time I came in. I'm going to miss this place so much. Every time I pass by I say, "I miss Mommy's" :(

Thank you for everything. I wish you a peaceful retirement.

Wonderful food and warm friendly ladies! We had a big setup for food and started it all off with rounds of Hite beer and banchan... "uugh, I miss korean food," going off in my head as I ate and drank. I don't recall most of the main dish names and couldn't stay long enough to try all but much was enjoyed. The sea bass(?) fish was moist and tender w/ nice flavor - work the bones. DUKBOKKI... I love dukbokki... miss it... dream it. =) The brown/mix rice is the super yummy purple variety.

All thanks to Rebecca L for setting the group event up. :D Thx!

Only giving them three stars because it was my first visit. However, based on that, it won't be my last.

I'd visited the restaurant for Bibimbap in its previous incarnation and it was pretty good. Not much seems to have changed inside, but the menu has a much greater focus on dumplings than before. Korean "dumplings" are similar to Japanese gyoza and Chinese dumplings or potstickers, so don't let the name dumpling mislead.

I chose the fried dumplings, thinking they would be the most like my favorite potstickers. However, Mommy's were deep-fried to a delicate crunch, and served hot with sides of kim chee and a pickled vegetable of indeterminate origin. It was, however, delicious!

Prices, I thought, were more like one dollar sign: $5.95 for 10 of my chosen dumplings! Depending on the type you order, the price could be a buck to two higher, but I thought prices were very reasonable, especially for delicious food, cooked fresh and served quickly.

They also have a wide range of rice, non-rice and noodle dishes, so please don't think they're a one-note opera. I'm definitely going back to try some of their other dishes, and will update my review as needed.

This used to be like some other Korean restaurant--think it was called garden Korean or something where they grew their own veggies. Used to be good too.

But this new place was DELICIOUS!!! We kinda went cray cray and ordered too much food to the point where we got food coma and couldn't breathe.

      We ordered:

      Dduk bokki (spicy rice cake)
      Veggie kimbap (Korean veggie rolls)
Tong dumpling (some sort of dumpling)
Omerice (fried rice topped with omelette with ketchup)

Free appetizer - Korean mochi with something in it that tasted good

Dduk bokki was SO good. It wasn't spicy but it just melted in your mouth. They come in huge chunks so not much on the plate FYI.

Veggie kimbap is also very good!!! Tastes fresh and if you dip it in the dduk bokki sauce it makes it epic. Try it I dare you.

Couldn't eat tong dumpling because it had meat. But from my friends they said it was delicious.
Omerice was also good (I ordered it without meat). It was very fresh and they got the taste right! All their food was just amazing!!!

I highly recommend this place! Also it's not so Korean. On their menu they have English so anyone can walk in and feel welcomed unlike some fob places :)

Garden gave me a few mixed feelings, but it did bring some comfort in the form of Korean food.

I came here with a large group of people (15) to celebrate after a graduation ceremony. They allowed us to make a reservation and put us in a separate room specifically made for large groups. The first thing I noticed was that there was no music playing in the room so it was awfully quiet. I would have felt a little more comfortable if there was a bit of background noise.

We ordered quite a lot of food for the entire family. I thought the banchan (side dishes) were pretty good (better than I've had at some places). We ordered some of the dumplings which were good, but not phenomenal. I liked that they were handmade, you could taste the difference. We also ordered some the onion and seafood pancake. It is giant, thick and scrumptious! I loved all the pieces of seafood within the pancake and dipping it into the soy sauce. For my main course, I had the knife cut noodles. The portion size was HUGE. After some of the appetizers, I don't even think I made it through 1/4 of my noodles. I've had this dish before and I think Garden makes it pretty well, but not the best. I found the noodles to be missing a little something because it tasted more on the plain side. Interestingly, Garden puts dumplings in this dish, something I have not seen before. Some of the family members ordered the spicy pork belly with squid. It is a portion size meant for 2 people and comes in a sizzling pan. There is a good amount of meat and seafood in it. The menu says it comes with clear noodles, but I actually found no noodles in the dish. There was some disappointment in the family when they realized they wouldn't be getting noodles. It is labeled as spicy, but is not that spicy. If you can handle a bit of spice, you can probably handle this dish.

Unfortunately, service was pretty off for me tonight. I'm not sure if it was that specific night or the number of people in my party, but the waitress was pretty moody. I originally had ordered sujebi (a soup that has dough pieces in it) because it's one of the foods I loved growing up. A few other people in my family also requested this dish as their main course. The lady however complained that it would take too long to make. I found this to be a little aggravating because it's on their menu so they should be willing to make it. If they are complaining that it'll take too long and refuse to make it, they should take it off their menu. As I was ordering my knife cut noodles (kalgooksu), I realized that there were soybean noodles (a seasonal item). As the rest of my family was ordering their dishes, I asked the waitress if I could change my order before she brought it to the kitchen. She told me that I could not. Not sure why she was being so moody, but because of her, I wasn't able to get TWO dishes that I wanted to try that night.

Overall, the food was good and did bring me some comfort because Korean food is what I grew up on. However, the rude service was really unnecessary and really brought down the experience that I had here. Hopefully others don't have to be denied of the food they want to try.
