Golden City

A better than average takeaway that delivers (either direct, or go looking for them using hungryhouse or similar) . The one time I've used them mid evening on a Friday mind delivery was prompt and courteous , with none of this oh look, I have no change nonsense so beloved of many delivery drivers in London. High points very tasty crispy chilli chicken, and very good grilled pork dumplings with dipping sauce. The latter would be just perfect with a few cold beers to wash them down. Low points sweet and sour pork balls (yes, I know, not necessarily the gourmet choice, but I have a weakness for them) weren't very good, with the sort of batter I distinctly remember armouring school spam fritters c. 1981. Perhaps I was just very hungry, but portion sizes didn't seem massive either, but I think that's my monsterous appetite rather than an objective judgement.
