This place was just fine. It's in a quiet neighborhood, but a short walk to the Metro, some decent restaurants, shopping, etc. And there's a wonderful patisserie a half block up the street.
The rooms themselves are somewhat small, like any European hotel, and a little bit sound-leaky. Some young people were on our floor and I think were pre-gaming it in their hotel room, which was briefly annoying. However, I gathered that they were lightweights and were happily drunk and on their way out pretty quickly.
Our shower was pretty bad by any standards. The shower head had no traction to stay in place on its pole, so it would always slide down to the lowest point, just about waist-level. It was annoying, but my days in Paris were so long that I was too tired when showering to care too much.
The free wifi in the lobby was just fine for us. You got a special code from the front desk for the day and were good to go. There is a little lounge area where we set up and looked at emails each day. We were always the only ones in there, so we had our choice of comfortable seating. On our last full day, the front desk guy gave us the wrong code and we had free in-room wifi as a result. Awesome.
They offer parking, but when we asked (in English) about getting their parking for just one day, we flustered our kindly front desk guy, felt bad, and gave up. We decided we'd try instead for street parking, and really lucked out with a space around the corner. But parking in this area is tough and the garage option is probably best.
We made this place feel like home while we were there. It was nice, and we were happy here. Would I stay here again? Probably not, since half the joy of traveling to a city like Paris is experiencing little corners of neighborhoods all over, and we'd probably like to try somewhere new. But I would totally find myself back in the neighborhood to buy an eclair from the patisserie.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shea F.Falls Church, États-Unis342123 sept. 2014
Check in - arrived early 9am and was able to check in at 10am. Really loved that they worked hard to get me in early. Many other hotels don't do that.
Room - small, a few big stains on the floor, but overall clean and fine amenities for the price. Great view of Eiffel Tower.
Breakfast - good. Very normal for hotel like this.
WIFI - good. Had one issues for a few minutes and the rebooted router to fix right away. Able to maintain Skype calls.
Area - good. Not in city center, but close enough and able to rent bike and ride into city. Good selection of restaurants and not touristy.
Service - very good. They did a great job.
Overall. The service pushed this to 4 star rating. I am all about service and WIFI when on business travel and can overlook the big stains (though they really need to get the stains up)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joshua C.Amsterdam, Pays-Bas1114 mars 2015
Mediocre hotel. 1 window wouldn't open due to handle was stuck. You put the thermostat to a/c and it continues to blow hot air. Mini fridge does not work, and they have a kettle but only plug that it would reach was setting it on the floor.
