This is a great new italian delicatessen on a lovely quiet residential square in Vauxhall. Luigi and brother Giovanni are part of the Di Lieto family who have had hands in many bakeries and cafes in this part of town over the years. The little shop is delightful and serves fantastic home-made bread, coffee, sandwiches and a gourmet selection of luxury imported italian delhi items. The vine tomatoes are sensational, reasonably priced and highly recommended. As is the Parmigiana alla Melanzane. Everything is fresh and delectable. Just make sure you streetmap the address beforehand as it's a little hard to find.

Lovely little grocery and cafe on the corner of Vauxhall Grove and Bonnington Square. Everyone is sweet and the food is delicious.
They offer espresso drinks (hot/iced), bottled sodas, waters, beers. There is usually a fresh baked pastry or two on the counter. The grocery section has jarred foods and sauces, dry pastas, grains, fresh produce, bread. There is a reach in freezer with cups of Gelato ice cream from a local company called Gelupo. I had the Sour Cherry Riccotta and the Bitter Chocolate. Both were to die for. Chocolate will never be the same for me again after this cup. I will have dreams with it for years to come. They sell chocolate bars as well. The Rococco ones are made in London. Perfect small gift to bring home with you.
There are about 10 tables outside plus few benches and picnic tables across the street. There is a wonderful community garden also across the street with additional seating and lovely shaded areas to relax in. Italo offers free WiFi for it's customers, by the way. Ask for the code or look for it in chalk on the walls.
I believe they open around 11am and close around 6 or 7pm but it really depends on the volume of sales for the day.
Wonderful place with wonderful people. We enjoyed our time spent here very much. Thank you Italo.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - James S.Londres, Royaume-Uni40752422 juin 2014
Absolutely fabulous food and drink in a lovely quiet surrounding. The food is made fresh (had a cheese sandwich, with a cheese recommended by the assistant, based on my request for a strong medium hard), my friends had a sausage & cheese and a ham & cheese each, topped off with lovely custard tarts. Coffee all good, and set us up well for a quick play on the swings in the small square opposite.
The inside feels a little dark and close, but the seats on the pavement outside are what make this a 5 star cafe. Visit on a sunny Saturday morning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sandra T.Londres, Royaume-Uni01924 mars 2011
I just moved to the area and this turns out to be my local deli. Thank you, Lord!
Charlie and his team are incredibly friendly and helpful. They offer fresh homecooked meals from lasagne to changing specials for lunch and also do amazing cakes and puddings.
The piece de resistance however here is the homemade gelato they sell at the proud price of 2.50£ for a small tub of 125ml. I have tried it so far in Malaga (or rum and raisin to you and me), chocolate (divine) and mango (like a frozen mango lassi). Every single one of my friends says this is the best icecream they have ever tried.
another must try is their sourdough baguette, ideally with some of their alpine butter. I dont know how they make it (and they only get it in after 11) but its fabulous. Bread has never been this good. And a last tip if you like your parma ham, ask for the tuscan ham, it is simply out of this world.
So whilst Italo isnt cheap, the quality and service they offer is fantastic.
Enjoy this little secret gem in the heart of vauxhall.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lauren S.Sydney, Australie2510920530 nov. 2014
I love this gorgeous little Italian deli.
It's tucked away in quite a beautiful part of Vauxhall - yes, such a sentence exists.
It's very authentically Italian. Has lovely decor, nice little seats outside and a cute moped for decoration.
They have a great selection of cured meats, cheeses and breads. As well as lovely Italian produce on the shelves and fresh fruit and vegetables too.
The main highlight of the deli is the 3 or 4 dishes they serve every day. They'll usually be pasta, meat and/or salads.
The dishes change daily, and when they are gone, they're gone.
They write on a big blackboard what the dishes are and you can also follow them on twitter to see what the dishes are too.
The most popular dish is always the roast lamb with salsa verde in a fresh ciabatta. I've spotted it in twitter and come down and stood in a huge queue of people all ordering this sandwich.
Dishes are usually £5-6 each.
A lovely place for a wholesome, delicious meal at lunchtime.
I haven't ever been in the evening, so I'm not sure what time they close or if they serve food later on too.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Fred K.Londres, Royaume-Uni262119 juill. 2016
This deli is a great find, tucked away in a nice green area behind Vauxhall. Food is super fresh, expertly prepared, and the service couldn't be friendlier. Also, it's very quick.

A fairly new delicatessen opposite the Bonnington Square vegetarian café. Food and produce is good quality, authentic, and the staff are friendly, know their stuff and are totally into what they're doing.
Panini made to order, hot food (pizza, and freshly cooked pasta dishes, for example). Food is delicious and tastes like it was cooked by a 100-year-old Neapolitan granny - the real deal - but portions could be a little more generous, so they're just shy of five stars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melanie M.Washington, DC, États-Unis061116 mai 2016
I'm working temporarily in Vauxhall, and my colleague took me here for lunch on my first day. What a treat! It's in such a lovely part of the neighborhood - quaint and quiet. A hidden gem. And the food is delicious, and served with warmth and obvious pride.
We sat outdoors on a gorgeous day. I think they have seating indoors, but I'm not quite sure how that works. It'd have to be crowded.
As for the food: the pasta dish (a tagliatelle with pesto) was amazing, and the rainbow salad tasted like summer. I would go here all the time if I wasn't sure I'd gain 30 pounds as a result of doing so.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (benhai…)Londres, Royaume-Uni01423 avr. 2010
