So far so good.
At first I was quite disappointed that I couldn't order a hot pastrami or reuben. How can you call yourself any kind of deli without a reuben sandwich? That makes no sense to me. There was also no potato or macaroni salad to be found, not even a small side salad to go with your sanwich.
That all said, the service was pretty friendly and the sandwich I did get (the cold pastrami) was actually very tasty. The meat was great, the bread delicious. Overall a decent sandwich experience. Just no need to pretend it's anything remotely close to a NYC or Jewish deli (aside from there being Israeli employees). When you get kasha varnishkes and matzah ball soup on the menu, you can get that credit. Until then, just call it what it is... simply a sandwich shop. Don't front.
I will eat here again, but I'm still on the hunt for a proper reuben in this city. Barcomi's is a lot less than incredible.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - N T.Berlin, Allemagne102151166 mai 2014
The place is not bad, just totally overpriced for what it offers. I had a (pretty small) roast beef baguette and it was ok. But for 7 euro it was too small and unspectacular. Maybe it's good as a tourist trap but I can find around things that are both better, bigger and cheaper. Service was indifferent.

Sadly, closed down!
In its place, we'll get another one of those overpriced crappy "Smart Break" shops.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - mehdi a.Berlin, Allemagne17391917 juin 2012
The best sandwiches you can possibly find in Berlin. they're big, tasty, and the ingredients are as fresh as they can get.
make sure to try roast beefHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Juan S.Miami, États-Unis10818886917 déc. 2010
Stumbeled upon this place recently and was very pleasantly surprised.
Gourmet food, great sandwiches and breakfast served all day served in a cool and urban locale.
All English menu is a definite plus for those of us who don't read or speak German :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Liron T.Hambourg, Allemagne13525734223 nov. 2009
Really nice gourmet deli in Mitte with a huge range of specialty sandwiches (this is not Kamps, folks) and great soy coffee. Sandwiches are yummy (if a bit on the above average price range side - which is only fair considering how good they are) and service is really friendly.
I had the omelette sandwich for brunch, which was delicious. Best side olives I've had in a while. Yum!
Very, very recommended!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Fabian T.Milan, Italie862541681 janv. 2011
We dramatically advise you to consider a visit to this marvellous place serving you the best sandwiches in town.
Walking through the entrance door, you'll instantly be Confronted with a counter providing the most talented sandwich makers with all the ingridients to create an amazing sandwich experience, but better choose the words for your order carefully, German is not the common language in this bar and even if you place ur order in english you might have some trouble. Go for hebrew;) But anyway, I can warmly recommend the goat cheese and roastbeef sandwiches.
apart from that, spend the coffeeshop area a visit and try a smurf together with a starbucks fashioned latte machiato.
enjoy ur meal;)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (donald…)Berlin, Allemagne72152022 avr. 2011
Great deli sandwiches and hummus. Probably the best this side of the Mississippi.

is attitude a marketable good? if it were i would probably be flirting with four or five stars for this review. but as we live in a world of palpable goods i'll have to settle for two.
i couldn't figure out where the barista was from, he had some neutral english accent with a too cool to serve you twang.
Lack of identity hurts this "israeli-new yorkish-berlin-mitte-i'm so cool" kind of deli. i guess i don't have much to say about it but neither does the place for itself.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Flavor G.Berlin, Allemagne2190329 avr. 2010
this place bills itself as a "traditional" gourmet deli. traditional to what cuisine? the partners are each israeli and italian, and the food here is not traditional to either country.
this is really not a deli at all, but a sub shop by US standards. all sandwiches are served in baguettes, averaging 5 euro for a half and a bit more for a whole (which you'll never finish). the best thing about this place is not the food, it's the joking attitude of the israeli and italian guys who run the place. they are also open 24 hours.
the roast beef sandwich was cut way too thick and was a bit chewy. the philadelphia was pretty unimpressive as well. i guess having olives instead of pickles is the "gourmet" part, because it's certainly not traditional. i should note that they do have a pastrami sandwich (rare in berlin) but i didn't try it.
i would eat here again during the wee hours of the morning but i certainly won't go out of my way to do it.
for deli food, i much prefer barcomi's which is the closest thing berlin has to a "real" deli.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
