Nice theater with good seating. You can see the stage from all areas. Beautiful architecture inside.
Went to see Bob Marley 'Get up Stand Up'. Amazing cast, great music... a nice evening. Show is worth seeing... especially if you like to sing and dance!!!Helpful 14Thanks 0Love this 14Oh no 0 - 24 juin 2022
My family and I had the blessed opportunity to catch Get Up! Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical! It was an awesome experience in the Piccadilly Circus area of London!
I have never been to Broadway, but I hear that the area where the Lyric Theatre is located, is just like Broadway in New York! I highly recommend catching a show, while you are in London! There are sooooo many theaters to catch an awesome live performance!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 15 nov. 2021

Decent theatre where we saw Get Up Stand Up.
The seating is tight and close together. We were off to the side in the stalls and had partial stage obstruction.
The sound was not consistent and it was difficult to hear at times. it was troubling to be seated so closely to others for so long and not have masks mandated. As tourists we must test negative for Covid to return home so it was a risky experience. We wore masks but 95% of audience did not.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrea S.Long Beach, États-Unis414517318 juin 2022
First time at this theatre to see Get up stand up. I got there 10 minutes prior and saw a queue out the fire of about 20 people. I thought for sure I'd miss part of the show because I just had an email and had to go to the box office. To my surprise, thins were quick and organized. You go into a certain doer to get tickets, show them to a guy and be directed to the door you enter for your seats.
I was in my seat didn't take long at all. Impressive
The place is definitely small and cramped and I was on the 3rd floor partial side seating. For the price I couldn't complain much but I definitely would go for anything in the center next time.
I read the reviews about this place about how the staff is no nonsense and they were right. They repeatedly had to tell a couple next to me to put this phone away or sit down and I saw them shine a flashlight on someone else. They eventually had to talk to the couple and put them out. Everyone around was glad they did because they were such a distraction. Never seen that before especially with the whole staff being so young. Kudos to them.
The performance was great with nice sound. Can't speak on the price of things as I didn't buy anything there but I'd definitely go back. One star is off for how tight the seats are. I have long legs and was able to stretch them because of the couple next to me being put out.
It didn't take long getting out either.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Armony H.Londres, Royaume-Uni9914083721 mai 2016
The BF bought tickets to see Thriller last week, it was a complete surprise as he had actually said previously that he didn't want to see this show.
Well, the show did not disappoint!! The dancing was excellent!! However at the beginning it fell a bit dry, like they have done it so many times that it's getting a bit too perfect but then the dancers and singers made better contact with the audience and it was fab!!
I really enjoyed this show :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Danielle N.Erith, Royaume-Uni304220 mars 2019
A smaller theatre but great use of lighting and screens as well as smoke, streamers and confetti, event the cheaper seats have a good view of the stage - recommend

Hmmm, well, there are certainly some obvious pros and cons to this sweet little theatre in the West End. I greatly enjoyed the show, but my legs are still regaining feeling.
So for the pros: It's beautiful, convenient and, well, old as dirt. How cool that you're sitting in one of the first venues that faced Shaftesbury avenue?
However people in 1888 must have been much smaller than we are now. Maybe you could just blame it on my big American bones, but my seat was so close to the seat in front of me that I could barely see past my own knees. My 6'2 partner had to completely turn his body in order to fit, which resulted in pins and needles on top of a still neck! It was mildly uncomfortable for me, I can only imagine the agony he was in.
My best advice is snag a seat in one of the first rows. The stage is not set much higher than the seats so you won't have to look straight up to view the show, and well, you can really take in the costume design. In detail. Unfortunately this is not the case for the balcony seats which can't be more than 8 inches from the railing.
*I will definitely tick the "Good for Children" box. It's just their size!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Philine V.New York, États-Unis4918335 nov. 2009
Lovely theatre, was there November 2008 to see Eddie Izzard in his short run on the West End with "Stripped".
Beware - stage door is around the corner in a bit of an alley, right by a table dancing establishment!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
