Started going here after speaking to them at the Citizen M event back in 2012 and haven't regretted it. Had my hair cut here 4 times now, and the experience each time has been brilliant. Three of these cuts have been with different hairdressers, and it's good to know that the quality is consistent throughout the place.
It's gone through a wee revamp this week which has opened the space up a little bit; this was much needed as there isn't a lot of spare room, and as a result rocking up and expecting a cut here and then might be a bit optimistic. Everything and everyone is pretty chilled out, and they certainly love their music; Otis Redding this time, and LCD Soundsystem at a fairly tasty volume was a previous highlight.
Most importantly, I've been given great haircuts, and the guys know what they doing well enough to convert my "I don't know what I want to do with my hair" mumbles into something that looks great. Importantly the cuts still look good a few weeks later, which is always a good sign. They have a loyalty card as well, which is a nice wee bonus. Price-wise, at £22.50 it's a bit more expensive than a number 2 on the top and a 1 on the sides, but it's also significantly cheaper than some of the higher end places I've been to in the past, and of definite higher quality. Highly recommended.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Gavin M.Édimbourg, Royaume-Uni108109054619 nov. 2009Prem's
I've been going to this gents only hairdressers for a while now, after spending a few years compromising my masculinity at a fancy dan salon, squandering £40 a time on a trim.
If you ask for Tony, you'll get any hair cut you want, good chat and usually a free beer to boot. You've also got the best selection of light reading for when you're waiting, including old issues of Tales From The Crypt.
Reasonable price too at around the £20 mark. Excellent.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (eggywe…)Glasgow, Royaume-Uni291427 août 2009
Mo Hair is an excellent place for a haircut, much better than just going to the local barbers. Tony is an excellent hair stylist and gets my hair just right every time. Mo Hair has salon quality but doesnt feel fruity, its actually quite a relaxing and its good to sit and read the Wolverine comics while you wait.
I recommend Mo Hair to all my freinds and I have truthfully turned down free haircuts elsewhere to get my hair cut at Mo Hair. If you are in Glasgow and looking for a great mens hair style then try Mo Hair.

An update? Aye, why not. When a business blows yer socks off on the first visit, it's great to get the tippy tappy finger going and lay down the love on this here Yelp type thing. But that's just one visit. Did they fluke it? Were you feeling generous that day?
Well, three visits down I'm 100% certain that the cut and service I received on my first visit, is what these guys roll out on a regular basis. I've been working on a style for a few months now and my hairs just become long enough to sit just about right. The good thing about this, is that Tony (the owner and all around dude), let me know when I first got the cut, that it was a work in progress and that we'd just stick with it until everything sat right. We did (stick with it) it does (sit right), I'm happy (no need for this text).
This place, like many other top notch businesses in Glasgow, manages to combine passion with product and all with a smile and a laugh included. Them there folks from that there Mo Hair posted an image of a kick ass 30's stylee hair doo on their Book they call Face page. Following? I saw said image, thought 'fudge me (pre watershed) that looks awesome, can I have it on my head please?' They said yes, I said cool.
Rocking up to this wee joint that sits quietly in the Trongate/Merchant City/that bit, I was instantly thinking 5 star as soon as my peepers took in the decor, and my other senses took in the vibe.
Things to look out for:
Boom - graffiti style artwork on the walls (ooft)
Whack - big assed comfy beat up couch (yeah)
Kapow - happy dug (dem ears look like they need a scratching!)
Two minute wait and I was in the chair having the dome done by Tony (who I'm assuming is the owner). Chat was spot on. Simple as that. Best thing about the expereince of the cut was that Tony talked about what he was doing, asked my opinion, and basically engaged me through the process.
The result? Well, I think it rocks. I'll be back and not only that, but after slutting it around a few dif places in town, I think I'll be going steady with these guys for a while as they just tick so many boxes.

It's been a while since I visited Tony and the team at Mo Hair, but with Commonwealth Games looming I'm looking for a new look and this is the place I'm coming to!
I first met Tony, the owner and personification of this place, many years ago next door at 13th Note; which incidentally is where I hang out after my appointments.
The atmosphere and banter at Mo Hair is one of the reasons I keep coming back. That and I trust their opinion on what to do with the hedge that grows atop my head. Granted it's not the cheapest haircut I've had at £25 but it's worth every penny and more - especially if you're looking for something new!
They have an awesome music collection and the graffiti style decor is cool and modern and adds to the general feel of the place. The last time I visited there was a cute dog and Tony's young daughters were also paying a visit.
So, next on my list is to book an appt to come have the hair shaped and styled - I wonder if they'll be able to colour my hair Pillarbox Red to match my Games outfit? Time to find out (pics will follow once the deed is done in a few weeks time).
**update** have tweeted to guys to ask their opinion on an awesome, stand out, maybe red, style for the Commonwealth Games - let's see what magic they can workHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (AliBal…)Glasgow, Royaume-Uni1321 sept. 2009
I was passing Mohair one day and it caught my eye. Maybe it was the acid orange facade or maybe the funky tunes drifting out the door but I thought to myself this looks like an ideal place to send my boyf to get his bothersome barnet sorted by someone who can manage more than the average short back and sides.
That was 5 years ago and now he won't go anywhere else and we count Tony as a true pal.
The prices are great, there's always a lively, friendly atmosphere and excellent special offers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (scanbr…)Hamilton, Royaume-Uni1127 août 2010
I was looking for a decent mens hairdresser around Glasgow, and found the reviews here.
It was enough to go on, and I went in a couple of months ago for the first time - all I can say is, the reviews are spot on.
Grreat wee salon, so relaxed and friendly, but still very professional. Tony and his staff couldn't be nicer, and are very genuine.
The haircut I got in there was the best I've ever had (in well over 30 years of getting haircuts!).
Just had my second cut there, and I won't go anywhere else.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ally B.Torlum, Royaume-Uni0572 juin 2011
cool guys.
I had my first visit last week and was quietly impressed at the detail and time taken over my short hair. I had a wedding to attend and so needed more than my usual number 2 all over job, and Mitchell the Canadian barber done a great job.
Even got a show as there was a scirmage outside the shop as 2 junkies were in battle with council road workers stealing their broom and running riot down the street.
And maybe this is why I got a slight discount on my haircut and beard trim but who knows but I`m glad of it as times are tough and every penny counts.
Anyhow to re cap, make an appointment and see for yourself the quality haircut you will receive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (chrism…)Glasgow, Royaume-Uni012 déc. 2010
Based on the reviews here I went to Mo Hair and was really impressed. Tony is a friendly guy who takes his time and makes sure you leave with your hair the way you want it. If you are looking for somewhere that is upmarket but not pretentious then go and see him. Might want to make an appointment before you head in though.

Really nice wee salon for men only. Proper haircut and a really nice buzz about the place. Definitely recommended.
