Yummy Swiss food! Rosti is sort of like hash brown, but less dense. It's like baked shredded potatoes. We add cheese and tomatoes for extra goodness. Spatzli is like pasta, but it's a little too salty. Not sure if it is just at this place or how the dish should be. We still like it tho! And finally is corden bleu veal. Probably my least favorite cuz the ham feels a little dry. Very crispy fries. Portion is huge, so we order 3 plates for 5 people and was very full. But because of that, they charge us money for 3 (supposedly 2 not sure why) cups of water lol..

Had a fabulous dinner here! Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant as we wanted something authentic Swiss. We arrived at 5:45 and were told they were going to be full at 7:30 so we had to eat fast essentially but that timeframe was more than enough. The restaurant did indeed fill up with large groups and couples. Locals and tourists! The menu had English as well so that was great! We order the Gruner salat and it was delicious with a tangy dressing we ordered a medium size to split and it was plenty for 2 to share! For the mail course we for the Lötschberg Fondue and it was beyond decadent, rich and so so good! All the dishes around us looked great as well a local couple next to use got the cordon blue, he said he was dreaming about the dish all day, it looked so good that we thought about going back for lunch. Would 10 out of 10 recommend this restaurant.

Was craving Rösti, and saw this on the menu board as we walked by, so decided to give it a try. So glad we did - great Rösti, and the other dishes that came out also looked great! Will definitely eat here again when in Bern.

Very good choice for an authentic taste of Switzerland. We enjoyed fondue with a great wine pairing

We're vegetarians and we're looking for Swiss cuisine in Bern. The places that were recommended by locals didn't have Swiss cuisine, fondue, or didn't have vegetarian options. After visiting many places, we found this place. The main attraction was the friendly staff member that greeted us and allowed us to review the menu. He also kindly guided us through the different types of Swiss dishes. We ordered a few different dishes and all were great! The staff's attentiveness, especially one in particular, was unparalleled.
The food is a 4.5.
The service is 4.7.
Ambiance is 4.2.
While the restaurant isn't a five star, it would be an injustice to give the restaurant a 4.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John V.Bakersfield, États-Unis08328 déc. 2022
Great food, friendly service! Portions are big!
Open seating style for casual and social scene.
Originally went to Kornhauskeller but left due to their arrogance and limited, pricy menu. Found this gem down the street.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1552746317531 mars 2018
Fondue after a sightseeing in Bern. Large communal tables all over the space. No reservations accepted. We visited after a museum afternoon and even though it was an awkward time of day, there were still lots of people here.
We chose the Original Fondue and liked the combination of cheeses in this selection. Bread was abundant to dip and the potatoes were cooked perfectly to hold up in the sauce but were also soft enough
Paired our meal with their house white wine & it was the perfect pairing. Not fruity, this was a hearty wine made for savory dishes
Service was extremely slow & we waited 1 hour for the the check while the guy was on a personal phone call. We finally walked up to the bar to ask the guy for the bill & he informed us he'd forgotten about us. Well, why, yes, you had......only disappointing part of the experience. Would come back for the food but would take it upon ourselves to pay and leave when we were readyHelpful 6Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - Cliff R.Londres, Royaume-Uni2821217 oct. 2021
My wife and I wanted a typical Swiss restaurant and we were not disappointed!
1st of all, we were the only tourists in the house. There were families, couples, a birthday Group, etc.
Of course, cheese is the norm and so is the schnitzel. I'm glad I made a reservation m, as they were tight when we arrived.
We couldn't ask for anything better!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Friedrich F.Ottobrunn, Allemagne2112522 nov. 2017
Excellent swiss food. Can recommend to try the cheese plate (small size enough for 2 people). Such a variety of tastes each individual cheese got. .
Afterwards tried pork cordon bleu with Roesti.
Amazing and best i ever had.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Karis N.Houston, États-Unis10310657118 juin 2017
Came here with my boyfriend and his cousin, who is swiss and recommended this place.
A semi-casual restaurant in Switzerland. The staff is friendly and they have an English menu!
We had a cheese + meat plate and rösti, specifically bacon and raclette cheese. It's a typical Swiss food which is made of a bed of hash potatoes topped with bacon and cheese. It's so good and the portion is generous, I couldn't finish it. It is so cheesy and yummy, I don't recommend eating this everyday unless you want a heart attack though.
10/10 would come back. I saw other people getting fondue and I want to try that next.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
