To be honest I was compelled to book a table here mostly to check out their massive gin collection (they recently broke their own Guinness World Record and now have 600 varieties).
On this occasion, however, I was the designated driver so this was more of a reconnaissance visit for my return - and I am going to return as it was excellent here.
Given the choice between the restaurant and the brasserie, we chose to sit in the latter - as it would be quieter and you'd get to see said 'Gin Emporium'. You can also get their full menu served here too as well as the bar menu so I'd advise to book in advance as there aren't many tables in this section.
Their Signature Menu had apparently been awarded a AA rosette, which is a rare feat - though definitely deserved as we loved both courses. At two courses for £25 or three for £30 it was very reasonable indeed given the quality of the food. You can obviously order lighter snacks from their other menus.
Service was warm and friendly - we were well taken care of throughout and not rushed despite how full they were.
If it hadn't been chucking it down we'd have gone for a local walk as well - the village of Delph is charming.
Tip: on the last Thursday of every month they hold a gin masterclass. Tickets are £15 per person and a light supper is included.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Natalie G.Romiley, Royaume-Uni71212 juill. 2016
We visited purely for the gin emporium and were not disappointed with the selection. The guy behind the bar (whose name I sadly didn't get) was brilliant; so friendly and with an immense amount of gin knowledge, taking the time to explain his choice of tonic and fruity accompaniments with every round we had (there were a few). The pub was really nice, and food looked pretty amazing, although we didn't stay to eat, but definitely will next time. The gin selection was fabulous but it really was the staff (awesome gin guy) that made the experience memorably. Highly recommended, will be returning very soon.

I've been here a number of times in recent months but only for lunch. The lunch menu is really varied and the food is hearty, home cooked and really tasty. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming and once I was on my own but still felt really comfortable. I'll be back soon to try the Guinness world record book range of gins and the main restaurant.

Excellent deal on a Friday night with house champagne half price.
Service is a little slow, the food in the restaurant is a little lack lustre under seasoned and bland, certainly better value food to be had elsewhereHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
