A very clean and contemporary bar on the edge of the town centre itself. It has obviously just been revamped and everything looks shiny and new inside which is nice. At times, there is a roaring fire to huddle up next to.
Sadly it has become rather victim of its own success and of late it has been hard to come by a table (Although it does add to the upbeat atmosphere if that is what you are looking for!)
A delicious wine list and although a bit basic, good food to eat should you wish (Lunch/sandwich menu on offer also!)
Not the cheapest place to drink but by no means unfairly priced. Lots of on street parking outside to make it nice and easy to get to and from!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (coliny…)Bicester, Royaume-Uni12229 déc. 2012

Stopped off at The Swan after viewing property on Easter Saturday. Like the flat we viewed The Swan is located in the old part of Bicester just down the road from the town's church, but in truth is just a few minutes walk from the town centre and the famous Bicester Village outlet shopping centre.
We loved the Swan! We settled into a leather Chesterfield and ordered coffee, which came just as we specified and I'm sure, couldn't have been bettered by a Costa anywhere. We had no previous plans to lunch out that day, but as the pub began to fill up with diners and the plates of food were taken to the tables we couldn't resist a look at the menu. Excessively fancy? No! Extensive? not really, but the menu offered just what we wanted that lunchtime. I had the steak and my wife opted for the Pie of the Day. Served with fresh vegetables that were if anything slightly too crisp for my taste, the steak and the pie had only one fault - the portions were so generous that I couldn't manage a dessert. My wife had something cold and sticky though, which she described as delicious but couldn't quite finish. We ended the meal with more coffee before staggering back to the car vowing to return very soon for dinner. I now understand that the Swan also offers very reasonably priced rooms, so perhaps we'll stay the night.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
