White Horse

Hmmm..... there are 4 pubs within a mile of Epsom General Hospital. Not sure what that means unless it's the old adage that the definition of an alcoholic is someone who drinks more than their doctor!

The White Horse is the closest to the hospital, located just outside the main gate. It's therefore a favourite for hospital staff to grab a drink here after work. Pleasant enough with serviceable pub food. They quite often have generous 2 for 1 meal deals on. There's a garden out the back for balmy summer days.

Not bad as pubs go.

I used to frequent this pub a while back It has had many owners but still survives as many have gone in and around the area.

The chef and owners have put a lot of thought into the menu by sourcing local meat, bread and other produce.


It is sooooooooo tastey - more like good home cooked food with a professional and tastey slant.


We had a wonderful meal a few weeks ago of lasagne for my other half and I had the homemade burger.


Just wonderful!


Even better they had HOMEMADE CHIPS!
