Came here twice during my stay at Steinenbergers hotel.
The first time was great - I got baked egg which was... nothing like i've ever had.
Over easy egg yolk baked into a tower of whipped egg whites, with leek "noodles". I was in heaven.
They give you bread with two dipping sauces - from my experience, both times one was sweet and the other was savory. It was delicious.
I came back and ordered monkfish and the same baked egg, but the baked egg was lacking - not the same presentation and the amount :(
But the service was great, and the food, though inconsistent, still tasted great.
I think I'd return if I'm ever in Stuttgart again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Suzanne J.Los Angeles, États-Unis08323 août 2019
I had a wonderful light vegetarian meal with a lovely spring salad with passionfruit dressing, followed by an heirloom tomato salad served with fresh grilled goat cheese. All courses served with the best delicate champagne. The whole evening made even better through the service by Herr Berten, manager, who found me a lovely comfortable table and was able to describe the offerings in fluent English. It was much appreciated as a woman traveling on her own. Kudos! The location near the Hauptbanhof, train station also central to my travels.

I ate at Zeppelino's many years ago when staying at the Steigenberger. We where in Stuttgart on a long holiday weekend. Only a few restaurants where open in the city on this Sunday night. My favorite restaurants where closed. Le Meridan actually recommended Zeppelino's. I remembered my previous experience and I thought perhaps it had improved. I took three guests, two which had never been to Stuttgart, to dinner for German cuisine. We had Pfifferlingssuppe, Wiener schnitzel, tomatensuppe, kasespatzle, tagliatelle pfifferlinge, and getranke. The prices are moderate and the service was alright. I could not eat my food and my friends took their food back to the hotel. I was disappointed because I wanted a really nice meal. I felt the food was average. This was not the type of meal that I wanted to serve to guests who know and appreciate fine food.

My husband and I ended up here for our anniversary. We had wanted to go to a different restaurant but it was World Cup soccer and the place was booked :( This restaurant is large with a nice atmosphere. It is in a hotel so the wait staff all comfortably speak perfect English. The food was better than I expected and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Seasonal pumpkin soup was a great start to the meal. Surf and Turf cooked to perfection and the extra attention to the dessert really made the evening complete. Our waitress was super cute and so attentive. Enjoyable evening to say the least. Will be back for more

They are all about reservations on a winters Saturday evening. Only a 10minute wait and I was encouraged to take a seat at the bar. I was offered a few bar bites (nuts and another random item, - three in total) before being ushered to my seat. Round of applause for my waiter who kindly and PATIENTLY listened to me order my meal in German, offered correct pronunciation and quickly brought me my sherry (very good!) The restaurant offered a page of specials before getting to the main portion. Be aware, this menu has two restaurants listed in one so I'm uncertain if you can order from both menus or if you must be seats in the actual restaurant. Ordered deer meat salad, sherry, and they brought bread as my appetizer. Once finished with appetizer, my main course was brought within 8-10mins. Perfectly timed and allowed me to order the drink that'd accompany my main course (again, he patiently waited for me to order in German) Flank steak (medium well) with sweet potato fries (additional cost) and accompanying four sauces for the steak, along with my order of a Baden-Württemberg red wine. I personally think my steak was cooked to medium rare instead of medium well but I still enjoyed It and polished off everything (sizes were moderate and worth the euros) the waiter checked on me routinely and was not over bearing. Unfortunately by the time i finished my meal, the restaurant became full so my empty plate sat for about 10mins but completely understandable when your swamped and the kitchen is downstairs. Try It out of you're in the area and block house is full.
