Of course attracted by the name, drive by it often enough, and finally went. Small room but packed with ambiance--nordic, hewn wood. Had a stout that the owner Ari had made, excellent (and I'm more of an IPA guy). Chatted a bit with Ari, an energetic and generous publican. A unique beverage selection here with some beers, meads, combinations and sakes. (There's a meadery and gallery in the basement, a coffee shop next door.) Check it out!

Kim C.Creston - Kenilworth, Portland, États-Unis015315 nov. 2023I live in the neighboorhood and i really want to like this place! I've been here several times despite the very quiet/weird atmosphere. Went in last night but there was NO ONE to help me. Waited and waited and waited while listening to the owner talk about "living in NYC and listening to Wu Tang Clan". Guess I'm an impatient A**Hole but in such a small space there should be at least 1 person on hand for customers. VERY small beer selection.

I’m sorry that ya hate the place! The bartender was in the bathroom and asked me to watch for folks but I was talking with some Saké producers from Japan about our Sake Sunday. I apologize for that.
I wonder however how you didn’t get helped aaaand know the beer sucks. Ouch! Did ya notice we have 4 pages of drinks to choose from.. and another list of wilde ales in bottle? I have a feeling however that your perfect timing to show up when the bartender, who’s birthday it was and had a lovely night, was in the bathroom is the worlds way of saying maybe this jus isn’t the place, or night for ya. Specializing in small local brewers and really a good selection of international from brews, to sake, ciders and meads. Unique ambiance. Enjoy a casual night with friends or a romantic evening. Fireplace, wood carvings, natural tables, perfect vibing music. Owner is very friendly. Look forward to returning.

57435683530 juill. 2022Had the pleasure of coming here last night and had a great time! Ari is a trip and takes so much pride in his bar and his brews. Not only is he knowledgeable but he strives to give you an experience so he really made the visit unique. Ambiance is awesome too, live edge bar top, tables and eclectic decor. I've already told at least 3 of my friends about this place and plan on visiting again soon

Cecilia B.Portland, États-Unis432449 mai 2023Have come here a couple of times. The beer and mead are outstanding. A couple of low key snacks are available inside after the food cart outside closes. Only drawback was no WiFi. I came here because the Yelp page said they had it.

303285610 août 2022I went to what was billed as a block party but it was more like a small parking lot get together. I thought that the interior was interesting but the beer list just is not my cup of tea or should I say mug of beer. I did have a nice pilsner though. I probably would not make this a regular stop but the bar tender was good natured and friendly. If you like sours and mead and such then this would be a good spot to try.

Hey there! A block party is a small get together for the block. We were approached to hold space for the first block party of the neighborhood, but you might have convinced me not to do it again if it made you feel strong enough to review it poorly. Glad you liked the Pilsner, but not sure if you looked at our menu. We specialize in beer made by 13th Moon Brouwerij, we don’t specialize in mead or sours, but we serve 1 or 2 of each. We got a lot to offer and live music on the weekend. Thanks for the first ever 3 star review!!
