Ambiance is nice; I like the seating. Ample space to sit and eat.

Service is okay; you only really talk to the person when you check out. She was on FaceTime with someone but it was a 30 second interaction- this place is mostly self serve.

Froyo 4/5: great variety of flavors. I got 3 flavors: mint chocolate chip (not creamy, kind of icy, and minty), raspberry pomegranate (bright colored, tasty but sugary it seemed like it was made with fresh berries) and my favorite a chocolate banana peanut butter flavor that was perfectly textured likely due to the banana. There were a good amount of toppings available, but mostly candied and not fruit. I got strawberry slices, rainbow cookies, and cookies and cream bites. All were good; the cookies were a little dry. Overall would definitely come back but not addicted.

I came here hoping to get the salted caramel froyo which I had at another location and LOVED. But they didn't have that flavor here. Not their fault, but I was kind of disappointed.

My cup was $5 and pretty filling which is a nice price in nyc. Tons of fun toppings. Went in a Friday night and there was one girl working. She did great but seemed stressed out. Lots of seating which is nice.

This place offers 16 different flavors and I opted for the original. It was sweet, tart and the fruit toppings for pretty good quality. You can add them on yourself and everything is serve. Mochi, however was stale when we got there around 8 PM.

Four stars because you kind of have to know what you're expecting when you come to chain places.

There are so many delicious flavors to choose from! My favorite is the Euro Tart. Any time I go to 16handles I like to sample all of the new flavors that I haven't tried to see how good they are. It's such a treat for everyone. All of the toppings to add, the bright colors in the establishment and the cool seats and TV's on the wall!

Down side, on this day in particular that I decided to visit this 16 handles the stores was surprisingly messy. It is not typically like that... Maybe it was short staffed maybe it was because there were a lot of kids there that night. Aside from that I would definitely recommend!

They have 16 flavor options and all the machines were working. The variety of flavors weren't super interesting but they had the basics.

The service was friendly.

The interior has a cool design, the other patrons were all middle schoolers.

They could have more fresh fruit toppings and wet walnuts

When certain employees work they lock the doors PRIOR to 10:30pm. They're supposed to close at 11pm. We walked over a mile to get there in plenty of time. There were a dozen people inside still getting ice cream and paying but the guy by the front door was putting up the chairs and refused to unlock the door. So we called to double check the hours. The employee inside the store said when there is only 2 of them staffed they lock the doors early so they can start cleaning. Fine whatever then change your hours to show you close at 10:30pm so people don't waste their time. This is the UES everyone is walking to the store not driving.

Since I'm here the other reviewers are right. This location is messier and dirtier than most and they are frequently out of the seasonal flavors.

UPDATED oct 13th at 4:30. I been here many times. Cleanest I have ever seen this place. Organized and friendly staff. Kudos guys.

PREVIOUS REVIEW went to this location yesterday... it was super dirty. Nothing was stocked and it was chaotic. I alerted a worker with dark red hair that people were licking their fingers and touching the handles and area where the yogurt comes out so she could tell the group to stop. She looked at me like I was crazy and said nothing. There were dirty rags and trash everywhere'

My experience today was clearly Four Stars. I came between 12-1pm. I was the only customer AT First. I had time to be shown the process. My allergy concern questions were answered. I've never entered in the past since yogurt is not good for mold allergy. I was drawn in by the sign that said Cashew Milk as a NEW option.

The Customer Service Representative was very helpful and patient. Customers began to arrive. Most took theirs to go. There's plenty of seating if you prefer. In the rear they have a Party Room. There's also a restroom.

This is self serve. The Small Size Cup was huge to me. The good news is that you are charged by the weight. You don't have to fill up your cup. Naturally the toppings add weight. You have unlimited choices. I thought there was plenty of options to meet my tastes.

I asked for a tiny sample and was provided with two little cups. I had to get the hang of serving myself. Using the Peanut Butter Choice I kept pumping. I ended up getting it all over. Luckily they have a drain to catch it. I didn't like the Peanut Butter taste at all. I really loved the Cashew Milk my second Sample. The trouble was the nutrition sign was not working. The employee tried to fix it to no avail. I just had a small amount today. I definitely will return for the Cashew Milk. I need to know how much ingredients is in my portion. The taste was great. It was Chocolate.

I'm surprised there aren't many reviews. I read the negative reviews also. This was my first experience. I'll be returning. I understand they didn't have hot deserts today. They do offer warm brownies and pie. The employee told a customer that the oven was not working. I hope if they have mechanical problems they remedy them quick. I like to know what I'm eating. They don't have the written ingredients anywhere on the premises. I'm going to check their website before I go back. Lastly: They deliver for orders $20 or more if you live nearby.

To whom it may concern,

I went into 16 handles 2ave on Wednesday between 430 -5 and the two lovely ladies helped me out ( it was my first time) I didn't get their names, but they had a wonderful attitude... I give this place three stars because I feel like it could of been cleaner the floor looked like it needed to mopped , and their was flies even though one of the lovely ladies was sweeping and cleaning glass I felt like it needed something more!

Thank you to the lovely ladies that helped me on Wednesday!! Can't wait to see you ladies soon!
