I'm actually really impressed with this place despite my friend's comment on how fishes aren't fresh. However, my visit was great! Service was amazing and staff were attentive and understanding. I got the sashimi as well and it definitely was very fulfilling!
Hands down my favorite was the nachos sushi, the sauce was SOOO GOOD omg. Miso soup was meh but the fishes made up for it! Would come back again! Price was around $45 including tipsHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 2 mai 2024
We got the AYCE. The fish was so fresh. It wasn't busy. In fact, it was half empty. The ratio of fish to rice was good. Everything tasted good, and the colors were so pretty. There was also matcha green tea ice cream for dessert.
If raw fish isn't your jam, I saw some cool instant Korean ramen options. Very trendy and fun.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 29 mars 2024
Im on the search for the best sushi and sashimi place in the LA/OC/626 area. I was hopeful for this place because the pieces of sashimi looked delicious in the pictures and the reviews said they were fresh.
The pieces of sashimi were fresh (especially the salmon) . It came served on a boat with a side of fresh wasabi. The cuts were inconsistent as our first round came out with thick cuts, and the subsequent round were thinner. (which i personally enjoyed more! ) The wasabi was good but doesnt have a strong kick. The rice to fish ratio for nigiri was great! More fish . Less rice!
We also ordered rolls, agedashi tofu, and mussels but they werent particularly special. The tofu pieces came out cold and was lacking the flavorful broth its normally served with. The mussel were small, room temp and lacking in freshness.
Service was severely lacking and slow. We took into consideration what other yelpers wrote in their reviews and ordered mid way through our round. This was perfect timing for the second round. However, when we ordered a bowl of udon and tempura for our third round, we found ourselves waiting for a very long time and eventually had to cancel our order. They were getting busy and the kitchen was getting backed up with orders. I would definitely recommend ordering in advance but still expect a wait, which is terrible since there is a time limit (90 minutes)
Additionally, there were times when the server would pop around the corner and hand us a plate in a rush rather than place it down on the table. We would have gladly assisted in making room on the table.
We saw other tables order green tea ice cream so we were excited to end our meal with that. We asked the server for green tea ice cream but were served sherbet instead of ice cream. With no explanation, the server placed it on our table and walked away. If we were told beforehand that they ran out, we would have kindly declined ice cream and saved them time, effort and food.
The restroom is just as nasty and musty as everyone mentioned. Lighting is poor, and overall can use a deep cleaning.
Although the sashimi/nigiri quality was amazing, the rest of the menu was nothing special and service can be improved.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - JIMMY P.Santa Ana, États-Unis5152316 mai 2024Avis mis à jour40 check-ins
Had to come back since my oldest daughter had been coming here since she was a 1 year old and likes to eat here. They no longer have a check in special. They have a buy 2 sale and get the 3rd half off. So dumb that I have to drink that much to get a discount and I'm the only one who is drinking in my family. As always, they keep increasing their prices and have new servers all the time so there's no sense of customer loyalty appreciation. I get disappointed coming here more and more each time. I'm still the Duke of check ins here.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 018 avr. 2023Avis précédentSadly, this will be my last time coming here and my last review. I have been the Duke of check ins at this place for the past 6 years. The cost has gone up too much. It's 44.95 pp at night for sashimi and they are charging my 5 year old, who ate prior to coming, 18.99.
The servers forgot my fried oysters order two separate times and my wife reminded them the second time. Still no oysters. Increase in price then let's keep the raw oysters.
I used to come at least twice a month, but with all new staff all the time, I don't feel very welcomed like I used to. I will be going to another Ayce for now on and Hashigos when I want quality sushi.28 févr. 2023Avis précédentI meant to update this review recently. I went here a few weeks ago and the owner answered the phone. He actually held a table for me and I arrived there shortly after. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. Definitely worth upgrading to the sashimi Ayce. Be The busser with the attitude was not there this time. They had a new and very nice Hispanic busser, I forgot to catch his name. I still feel that they need more servers for when they get busy because it is hard to flag down a server at times. You need to eat fast before the two young children lose interest and start to wreak havoc. But, overall I still love coming here.
24 août 2022Avis précédentI have been coming here for 5 years now and been the duke of check ins for about 4 of them. I loved the old servers who were nice, friendly, and remembered us. A server who used to work there used to get me a hot sake every time I sat down without asking, she was great. The food was great most of the time.
The new staff never remembers us and are not as friendly for the past year. The head male server who has been there for the past year, struck my 5 year old when he opened the front door and didn't acknowledge her after he did it. He is good most of the time, but has no personality and is not friendly.
They also hired a new young Asian male busser or server and he is not friendly at all. I ordered some dessert and then asked for water since no one came to refill ours. My two year old spilled her miso soup on the table and I asked him for napkins. He immediately got upset and angrily asked me if I needed anything else. He then scoffed angrily as he walked away. The owner was there, but I was eating with my family and I did not want to lose my cool since it is hard to calm back down for me. It's disrespectful to treat the most checked in customer and who always tip at least 20%. My wife has been complaining about the quality lately, but I also think is because we go to a high end sushi restaurant when we don't do ayce. I will only go here sparingly now until things change8 févr. 2021Avis précédentI have been going here for years. This place is really hit and miss, but more hits than misses. Service is good for an all you can eat and you should order more in the first and second round because it takes them awhile to make your order when it gets busy. The sashimi is amazing and they still honor their large hit sake check in order eventhough it isn't on the app. Highly recommend.

We went on a weekend so a little bit busy, the wait is around 20-30 minutes. There's no yelp waitlist but you can sign your name in the waitlist paper inside the restaurant.
We tried the AYCE sushi + sashimi, with tax it is around $50 per person. The shrimp tempura is crunchy and good, I love their squid nigiri and sashimi ( salmon, bluefin tuna ). Their sashimi is really fresh! The nigiri also have a small rice ratio that I really like.
However, the service is average, I think cause it is busy so the server doesn't ask to refill our water or ask how are we doing, forgot we order hot water as well. Also, avoid the calamari as it tasted old and hard to chew. The miso soup is very watery and bland. The baked mussel is also disappointing as it is so small compared to other AYCE sushi restaurant.
It is a little bit noisy because there's a lot of people, they play a song when there's a birthday going on which is fun. They give you green tea ice cream when you asked for a check, but the ice cream is very average, tasted too sweet and artificial.
Overall, will come back for the sashimi and nigiri. But for a cheaper price and higher quality service I would recommend Tomikawa at Irvine.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 20 mars 2024
Food 5/5
Service 3.5/5
Ambiance/Interior 3/5
The food at Ayce is good and the Nigiris are better then so many all you can eat places they have a nice variety and offer quality fresh fish.
Over the years the price point of Ayce has changed but so have several other factors - as community members flock to the closest and most popular all you can eat spot the service at this location has dwindled it's difficult to catch servers attention and the wait may be long or you may be served slowly. The food always comes out one after another but you may be waiting in between Rounds. My recommendation is you place your order halfway through your previous round.
As per interior for the amount your paying your figure Ayce would up their interior game just a bit, since covid random papers and postage's have been posted around the store and just random promotions posted everywhere. The space can be quite crammed, the bathroom situation is quite musty and of course it's always quite busy.
Nonetheless your here for food and the nigiri and sushi here is good at its price point there's only a few other places in the area that do it equally well or better.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 486814736 févr. 2024
We found this place on TikTok and had to check them out for ourselves when we were in SoCal. It was $36.99 for a weekend lunch. We went when they first opened (11:30am) so we did not have to wait for seats but as we were sitting, we can see people waiting outside...
We did the AYCE nigiri/rolls/appetizers without the sashimi. The menu is a little confusing, so make sure they tell you the details before you order. There was a separate page for premium sashimi / unlimited oysters at the end where they charge $8 more per person. We didn't know and ordered one plate of bluefin sashimi. But it was worth it because it was so good! Keep in mind that it's extra.
My favorite nigiri were the Hamachi, Unagi, salmon and Ika. We were really looking forward to the hotate (scallops) but they were tiny little ones. It was kind of weird. The maguro (regular tuna) were also a little peculiar and not my favorite, but we tried some. The ambience was like any other sushi restaurants with a combination of Korean and Japanese vibe. They offered both soju and sake on the menu. The hamachi kama was a must do! We also had multiple miso soups each and that was one of the best part! Overall it was a good try and would def come back for specific pieces. YumHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 3 - 7 févr. 2024
hands down my favorite ayce sushi ive tried ever. for around $45 you get unlimited, good quality, THICCC pieces of sashimi. AND they serve them in a boat, 10/10. for our first sashimi boat, they gave us this wasabi green onion dip that was so good. i was hoping theyd give it again for the second boat but :(
highly rec trying the fresh water eel and the nacho sashimi. we didnt get to try a lot of rolls but i enjoyed the LA dodgers one. we went for a sunday lunch and they sold their large sapporos for 2.99 (a true steal)
all in all really great spot, dont think id ever go to ayce sushi unless its here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 134317711 janv. 2024
This place is worth the price for the unlimited sashimi alone. It was delicious and super fresh. We love ayce sushi because we love the variety that we get. Our usual spot is Aiken in Artesia/Cerritos, but decided to try something new.
Our family of 4 ordered about three rounds of sashimi, sushi, and rolls. I wasn't a fan of the rolls because of the amount of mayo on the imitation crab meat. But that's a matter of preference, so I didn't ding them on stars as a result.
The sushi and sashimi were both great quality and tasted beautifully. I vowed to stick to the fresh stuff when I go back.
4 stars for the excellent food. Took away a star because we didn't have the best service. I'm not sure if it was the weather, but our main server was slightly cranky. But all in all, this was a great experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - 20 janv. 2024
We came here for a bday. Primarily for the ayce sushi.
It's 38.99 for the premium ayce sashimi and 32.99 for the sushi (not ayce sashimi) edition. This is WEEKDAY LUNCH PRICE. not sure what weekends go for.
Not bad prices for sushi for sure. Make sure to bring someone who can throw down.
Thin cuts, tasty! Comes in this cute boat if you order enough.
I took off one star for a couple of reasons. The plates they serve one of them was kind of dingy so I had to wipe it down a little. The other thing is there's an up charge for fresh wasabi and Sriracha $.99 after the first one. I guess I find that nominal, considering everything else is all you can eat.
This spot is located in a small strip mall in the back next to a Goodwill. Our waitress was excellent and we got in right at opening lunchtime, so no long wait.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1
