Azteca Mexican Restaurant

Food was absolutely delicious.. I had tried other Mexican restaurants since we've moved here and couldn't find a favorite one until today. Super friendly. We didn't wait at all. And of course the food. So happy my husband picked this place!!! I love fried ice cream which they had and ugh if it wasn't cuz I was full I would have ate it all!!

Worst Mexican food I've ever had. I know it's not authentic first of all but for the prices they charge it could be way better.

The salsa is horrible. Tastes like a store bought taco mix packet. Consistency is way too watery as well.

Food is horrible with no flavor at all!! Prices are crazy for what you're being served. Very low quality ingredients.

Whoever thinks this place is good, definitely has no taste buds lol the foods not even decent. They just serve up whatever cause they know the people who come here will pay and are used to bland food... I'll leave it at that.

Avoid , don't waste your time and money.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The salsa was awful - super watery and not one tomato to be had....ordered a chicken quesadilla....who can mess up a chicken quesadilla??? I was stuck on the disgustingly soggy tortilla from the pico I asked not to be put on my quesadilla... I watched a bug crawl up the window from the inside I was so unimpressed - I returned the food and left. On the way out, stopped in the restroom and there was a line of us waiting to use it and a male staff member walked right in...while we were in there and went into the stalls to replenish toilet paper - a lady in line looked at me and said "that's pretty uncommon, isn't it?"

Where to start... Ok, watery salsa and not much flavor. Then i ordered Carnitas tacos, I love good carnitas. These were terrible. They came in soft shells that were slimy and soggy, almost gelatinous. Felt like a wet dish rag in my hand. I ended up taking the 'carnitas' out of them and eating that with a fork. It was diced up really small and not very good either. That was $16! My wife had ranchero combo which consisted of the toughest leather thin piece of meat and 4 shrimp. That was $26 - for lunch. I think the cow must have walked all the way from Mexico to NC it was so tough. So $50 for Mexican lunch for 2 people and it was hard to even eat it, it was so bad.

Guess what? Not going back.

I really liked this place, from the decor to the service, it was a good experience. The fresh guacamole made at your table was delicious, but the salsa was lacking. Very oniony and thin. The lunches were all around $10 and i got 2 enchiladas. They were very small, but good. My guest got the lunch burrito which looked great as well. The margaritas were top notch,
Fresh and nothing fake sugar. Fresh lime and orange juice, grand marnier and tequila- delicious but pricey considering the glass was full of ice. Great location, great service and tasty food, but I have had better.

The table service was extremely prompt: got salsa and chips immediately, and greeted by our server quickly. She was really friendly and thoughtful.

The food was okay. We ordered fajitas. The steak fajitas was super sweet and was okay. The chicken fajitas were better. The decor was fun and a bit over the top.

In general, a nice experience.

The chips were stale
I ordered the enchiladas and they were dry and lacked flavor. Tbh the food taste like a 99 cent tv dinner it was not good at all I was so disappointed. I would not recommend eating here maybe the bar and the service but not the food at all. Oh the queso was not good either. Very rubbery which was shocking.

I'm not sure what has gotten into Mexican joints heads charging what they do for food now. But 18.95 for half an over cooked chicken breast, rice, and queso is absurd. Good chips and salsa, but crazy markup on food IMO. Service was good, but dang, figure out the food prices.

Excellent hospitality of the staff. Nice atmosphere and great food. We don't visit the restaurant frequently, but every time we do it delivers a pleasant experience
