Cute little strawberry farm for U-pick. Right now, you pick the size of the clamshell you want to fill, and then you pick your strawberries, and then you pay based on them verifying that your strawberries fit into the clamshell. The two sizes are 1 lb ($4) and 2 lb ($7). The fields are vast and more than ample for the crowds they attract (we were there because we arrived at Strawberry Fest too late to do u-pick there). Reservations are accepted but not required.
The strawberries were fine. It's probably better to go on a Wednesday after the fields had a couple days of rest rather than Sunday, when the fields have been picked over by the hoards, but we still found plenty of ripe strawberries on Sunday afternoon.
They also have a gift shop full of strawberry themed goods. My daughter was enchanted. Be aware that the goods are very expensive. My daughter wanted a notepad printed with strawberries, and it was $9.50, and a strawberry pen, which was $8.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 15 janv. 2024
The Basics: Berry Sweet Acres is a farm located in Plant City where you can go strawberry picking. They also have sunflower picking other times during the year.
Things I like: I loved my experience strawberry picking at Berry Sweet Acres! There is plenty of room to park in a dirt lot on property and there is a lot of space to spread out and pick strawberries away from others. When you arrive you receive containers to put your strawberries in and can go anywhere in the field to find strawberries. It is peaceful and so enjoyable to spend time here and the strawberries were delicious.
There is also an option to make a reservation on their website which we did, but it was not necessary at all.
Things I didn't like: Nothing, such a fun experience and a nice location to visit.
Overall, I had so much fun visiting Berry Sweet Acres and plan to return later in the season!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 27 févr. 2023Prem's
My friends and I went strawberry picking this weekend, and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. I made reservations online ahead of time, but they accept walk-ups also. There is plenty of parking in their two dirt lots. The cost is $2 per person to pick, then you can choose to buy either a big carton to fill for $7, or a smaller carton for $4.
I loved that the place was very large, so everyone wasn't picking on top of each other. There was plenty of room to spread out. The strawberries on the vine were bright red and plentiful, and we had multiple cartons filled in no time. It was so pretty in the fields that we didn't want to leave.
When you're done you go check out and pay, either cash or credit card. They also have strawberry onions (no, they don't taste like strawberries, but they are grown in the strawberry beds, so they are sweeter than your average onion) and sunflowers for sale.
We went to a local market afterwards, and the strawberries they were selling weren't even half as gorgeous as the ones we had just picked. A great time was had by all, and we will definitely be regulars here during picking season.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Mailoha A.Odessa, États-Unis694657140721 mars 2023
$9 for 2 lbs u-pick strawberries is overpriced. Strawberries are cheaper than that at Publix right now.
