Care Pet Clinic

Our cat was loosing weight and peeing all over the place. We brought him in and they diagnosed him with hyperthyroidism. After two months of medication, he's gained almost a pound and has only had 1 or two accidents!

I think the prices are fair and the facility is decent! I will say that no one says hello when you enter, which can be off-putting... BUT there is usually only one lady answering a phone that never stops ringing, checking people in, filing paperwork and cashing people out. So I get it!

A hello would be nice, but having my pets health improve is the main reason I'm there!

Dr. Daniel Beer is an exceptional vet and absolutely recommend Care Pet Clinic. Located in Olde Towne East (on East Main Street), they service Columbus and the surrounding areas. I am so lucky to have them less than a half mile away but would drive over an hour to come hear if needed without a doubt.

I have been going to Care Pet Clinic since roughly 2003 or 2004 and between my partner and I they have taken care of three of our pets over the years (cats & dogs for us).

This visit was Ellie's annual check up and labs, so a routine visit for our little beagle mix. Well not some much little since we got her weight but no judgment and we will blame it on her precious face, her daddies and Covid weight. This was a nice and easy visit and it is amazing to watch Dr. Beer work and handle her through the examinations and vaccinations. It was almost effortless and wish such care and our pet has quite the personality.

Parking off the side and a few spots by the entrance. There is a large waiting room in case you need to space out and keep some distance. I highly recommend Care Pet Clinic and they take such good care of your pets. I look forward to many years of supporting this business.

Took our dog for his annual shots. Able to schedule an appointment within a few days. In and out in less than an hour. Dr Beer was personable and knowledgeable. Costs were cheaper than Banfield (Pet Smart Vet) or German Village Vet. Dr Beer treats the pet in front of you. Care Pet Clinic does require a $60 deposit (via credit card) to hold your appointment. Also Care Pet Clinic charges a $25 fee for a prescription not filled at at CPC. Overall good experience will use them in the future.

Just don't do it. Cheaper prices does not always mean good service for your pets. The older lady at the front desk is not very friendly. She is very dry when you call in. They are not thorough they just assume things and prescribe drugs. My dog started having focal seizures a few years back and if i didn't have video to show them video they would have just tied it to him having stomach issues. I have a family member who use to bring her pet here as well and left because of issues as well.

my dog stopped eating and was only drinking water and was having accidents. I took him here and they didn't even exam him they just listened to his stomach and wanted an X-ray of his stomach. they did x ray and said they saw a shadow by his kidney and heart and showed me where his stomach was empty but it wasn't his stomach they showed me it was his bladder and that had me questioning things. they say he needed kidney support twice a day I started that and a week later my dog got worse. I ended up going to get a second opinion from another vet and they felt swollen lymph nodes all over my dogs body that this vet didn't even exam to see. Come to find out my dog had stage 4 cancer and I had to put him down today. this clinic is just for money only they don't care about your dog at all. they talk crap about pitbulls and other dogs whole people are in there and are a piece of shit and needs to be shut down!

This place is well run and efficient. Their prices are amazingly fair and they don't add any additional costs. They are friendly and the doctor is great with our animals. I truly can't recommend this business enough.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Do not bring your cats here. I brought my 3 year old cat, Basil, in. She is 9 lbs. She had a little infection on her paw. The first, and only, recommendation that dr. beer gave me was to get her declawed.... Excuse me? Any competent vet or animal professional in the United States will know that declawing cats is inhumane, cruel, and not necessary. He then went on to call her old and fat, which is simply not true.
Additionally, my boyfriend USED TO bring his dog here for treatment. Time and time again, Dr. Beer was patronizing, rude, and gave us inaccurate information. Their office staff will often give you misleading or confusing information, and forget to mention important details. We were often promised phone call followups regarding her medication, which never happened. Dr. Beer is the most patronizing and condescending vet I have ever encountered.
Literally go anywhere else!!!!

Would recommend but front desk staff are a bit off putting. They aren't the nicest or engaging workers. Service provided to my dog was good as well. No complaints with recommendations they provided. If you're looking for a cheaper vet that can just get the job done, this is the place for you.

For years I've been using this vet for years, and have referred many people to them as well, because I thought they cared about the pets and owners. Just yesterday i tried to get my dog's maintenence medication filled at another pharmacy because Apoquel is super expensive and I found it at a much more affordable price elsewhere. I was then informed by this office that i would have to pay them $25 to allow me to do so. That's AWFUL!!! NO OTHER VET DOES THAT!!! Shame on you Care Pet. Especially now with the way the economy is.

Love this place. Dr Heller and staff are very friendly and courteous. These people really care about your pets and you. No price gouging You won't regret choosing Care Pet Clinic for all of your pets needs
