Coastal Flats

Hit Coastal Flats on a Sunday evening before heading up to MGM for a concert. Got seated immediately despite it being dinner window, & loved every second of the meal.

Ozzie rolls were HOT and soft, the deviled eggs had a robust flavor and the bacon slapped. I had the regular fish & chips for dinner which always does the job for me. It's been some years since I had been to Coastal but I always leave room for the warm white chocolate bread pudding. It left me speechless. Bread pudding should not be this good, but it was.

If you're looking for a great family dinner spot or date night? This is the place. Great location and the service is always on point in my experience.

I took my family for brunch on Mother's day yesterday, and we had a wonderful time, the service was excellent and the food was delicious and cooked perfectly. THe only drawback was the water and perhaps the ice cubes, because inside the glass of water with ice cubes were floating particles and I could not drink the water. I requested another glass of water, but that too had visible particles floating inside the drink. I would suggest the management check the source of these particles in the drink and remediate it as soon as possible..

Just another wonderful restaurant from the great American restaurant group. This truly has become our "fall-back" place when we can't think of what we would like for dinner on the night when I'm not cooking.

As usual, the service is always wonderful, the front host and staff are very cordial and one of the bartenders literally saved me one night when my blood sugar plummeted to 43 and I was in desperate need of orange juice. She wouldn't even let me pay for it while we waited for our table. I made sure to ask for a manager to thank her for her wonderful staff.

Great food, pretty darn good prices for today's Biden economy, and wonderful, helpful staff!

The food was very good and the prices were extremely reasonable. Service was fast and efficient. We were quickly seated and greeted by our server Monica. She gave great recommendations and was very kind. We ordered the Blue crab and Fritters and Lobster Bisque for appetizers and for entrees we ordered crab cakes and the Salmon Salad. The Salmon was very moist and flavorful. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our food. We were also given an order of the rolls with honey butter and it was a very pleasant surprise. Those rolls were the perfect complement to the soup. I would say the rolls are a must try if you visit. The portions were generous and we highly recommend Coastal Flats. Perfect for date night, an evening out with friends and family, or a quick bite. We will definitely return. 5 Stars.

Food was really good and the service was efficient! The ambiance was nice and cozy, too. The only big con was that the water glasses were dirty.

The calamari was coated in a sweet and sticky sauce - I wish they didn't toss the calamari and just put the sauce on the side, but I still enjoyed the appetizer. The ozzie rolls were really good! They had a nice chewiness and fluffiness to them.

The salmon filet was cooked medium rare and was delightful. The sauce it came with was a tasty accompaniment. The pecan crusted trout was my favorite of the night! The flavors were light and fresh, and the candied pecans added a touch of needed sweetness to balance the tartness of the sauce.

I had a great dinner here and will be coming back!

Wow do I love this place. Their lobster bisque is the best, at least this side of Boston. Am very picky about seafood, but Coastal Flats is excellent. Do they have other items? Sure and all are delicious, including the burgers and pastas. Yet what I seem stuck on/addicted to, would be their succulent fish tacos. Wow these deliver an amazing taste, full of flavor, and consistency is always here. The dinner rolls are evil in a good way.

Plenty of beers and wines to choose from. This is a family friendly place, but I like it for dates. There's something comfortable about it. Sure the restaurant is beautiful, yet maybe it's the ambiance. It is a happening spot. You can go in casual, although I'd recommend "business casual." It's a relaxed atmosphere, but sometimes it's good to dress up a bit, and enjoy the experience. The tables can be from intimate size to huge. Do be careful parking here, as the drivers are aggressive and nuts. Then again that's northern Virginia.

As a frequent diner, I've never seen or experienced bad service here. That's very impressive. They obviously put a lot into their hiring and training process. Every server has had a delightful temperament, they know the menu well, and they get to you right away. They are the exception to the rule. By all means go here. If you want to feel valued and like quality food, you'll be here once, and then even more after that.

One of my fav spots. I often bring out of town visitors here as it is somewhat of a local gem. Everything I've had has been good but my favorite go-to order is the lobster roll with extra fries! Service is always great, every waiter or bartender day I've had has been kind and helpful. A great happy hour spot as well, especially when the windows and porch are open!

Everything was very good! We were visiting from the west coast for an event and wanted to have a date night and Coastal Flats did not disappoint. The bisque and corn chowder were fresh and great. The seafood with guacamole dip was fantastic! The bread was delicious. We will definitely go back if we are in town

Outstanding food in a totally unassuming location. Don't be a snob - love Coastal Flats!

I never would have expected this restaurant in the middle of Tyson's Corner Center mall to be so good. We ate here because we were shopping and it was convenient. But I should not have judged - this place is awesome. It's outstanding and totally unpretentious. Every table is a booth!

My favorite dish is the beef ribs. They are house-smoked until they are tender and fall off the bone. Amazing! But there are a ton of other great options. I would also recommend the fish fingers, shrimp and grits, shrimp roll, and lobster roll. And, if you're okay with the extra calories, get the bread rolls - they are a cross between a donut and a bread roll!

It's really easy to get a table here. The wait time is usually no longer than fifteen minutes, and their bar area has tables that are first-come, first-serve almost always have availability. My wife loves their martinis!

Service is great. They hire a bunch of kids who can be pretty awkward, but they all try hard and are extremely courteous and professional.

Coastal Flats - you've won us over!

Came here and sat at the bar. Had great service. Really liked the bread basket. Was surprised the bread was fried but it was still good.
Had the pecan snapper and really liked the candied pecans on it
