Its amazing and thank you to Rae (it's literally the thing ever) and make sure to order the pork and chicken soup dumplings and the dessert chocolate dumplings

Love loveeeee Din Tai Fung!! I've been to this location many times and I always make sure to make a reservation before coming in so I don't have to wait for long sometimes it can take more than an hour or so if they get really busy but then again you're at Washington square so shopping around is an option to kill time! Nice interior it can be pretty loud and I've never had a bad experience here all the staffs are so nice provides really good hospitality.

Ordered:
1 Yuzu Margarita - it was a bit too alcohol-y for my preference so I asked the bartender to added more syrup and it was perfect! I switch between this and the lychee martini
1 Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao- recommend
1 Chicken Xiao Long Bao- recommend
1 Chicken Spicy Wontons- recommend
2 String Beans w/ Garlic- must get!!
1 Hot and Sour Soup- really good on a cold day
1 Vegan Noodles w/ Sesame Sauce- wanted to try someone thing new but this is a pass for me it can be a bit too heavy
1 Black pepper beef tenderloin - a bit pricy I thought it was okay
1 Chocolate & Mochi XLB with a Side Sea Salt Cream10/10!!!!!!

The food hits the spot every time and I am addicted to their garlic green beans would double the order just so I have some to bring home. MUST GET THEIR CHOCOLATE MOCHI XLB WITH SALTED CREAM!!! I'm not a big fan of chocolate but this will never disappoint. Excited to come back again!!

Food: 4/5
-Bok choy: crunchy wok sauteed. But dang $15 for half a pound of bok choy is steep.

- Pork soup dumplings: beautiful pleating, eat them while they're hot! Cuz dough became hard when cooled down

-Noodles with spicy beef: lots of ingredients, flavorful

-Spicy wonton: nice large chunks of shrimp. still good after cooled down.

Value: 3/5. Servings on smaller side and expensive. Although branded, use of disposable chopsticks didn't feel that classy.
Friendly service. Popular at prime lunch time. Recommend to sit at bar if 1-2 persons.

The food as always was amazing. Loved the garlic string beans , crab xiao long bao , chicken spicy wontons and my all time favourite noodle with diced beef and peppers !!

We had cod dumplings too and we did not like them unfortunately.

The honey lemonade and milk tea was excellent.

The ambiance was nice , great to go as a group aswell because you can request for a separate group seating.

We had a reservation and I highly recommend reserving if not it's a long wait, it can take any where between 30min wait to over an hour long wait especially on weekends

The Braised Beef Noodle Soup was exactly what the doctor ordered. Full of flavor and doesn't leave you in a food coma.

I sat down right away, and the food came out quickly. Unlike my indecisiveness. Great service, delicious food and no more hunger.

I may be boring, but I know what I like, so I order the same two dishes each time.

It is consistent and good service.

They do often want to sit me in the bar, since I am often alone. Luckily I was able to find a table.

For a place that has you fill out your own order card and they just take it and bring the food to you, they should not prompt the tipping at 18% to start, or lower their prices.
Filling out our own order is half the job of what we are tipping 18%+ for!

Bathroom is clean.
On busy days, I recommend coming early or calling ahead for your table, to reduce your wait time.

The food is great and the dumplings are always steamed perfectly. They have a large variety of dumplings on the menu, veggies, noodles and more and everything I've tried has been exceptional.
The service is relatively attentive, sometimes longer wait times for water refills or removing the steam baskets, but with such a small size restaurant I can understand the time to navigate through.
My main complaints would be as follows -
Throughout the years, the drinks are completely watered down, not worth the $14-16. It's cheaper to order any standard drink, skip the cocktail menu.
The booths and tables are tiny when sitting for two, can barely fit the waters, dumpling baskets, plates and sauces.
The food is expensive. We're talking $15 for their Xiao Long Bao, 10 of them total. Wanting to try multiple things adds up FAST. Talking $200 for two people easily.

Besides that it's a great place to eat and the food is always exceptionally fresh. It deserves the popularity it has but certainly takes advantage of it - price wise.

My mom and I came to Din Tai Fung for lunch. Upon arriving, the place was packed, and there was a one hour wait for a table. Fortunately, bar seating was available, and we were subsequently seated.

Despite the restaurant being completely full, the service was quite fast. Our orders were taken within several minutes, and our food came out within 10 minutes.

As for the food, it was fairly good. All the dumplings were tender and flavorful. We also had the sticky rice wrap, which was presented without any leaf wrapping. I found that quite odd as part of the experience of eating sticky rice wrap is unwrapping the sticky rice wrap.

Overall, the service here is top notch, and the food here is pretty good. My only minor complaint is that some of the food seems to be unnecessarily fatty and unhealthy.

Din Tai Fung is a fan favorite for my husband and I! The soup dumplings and chocolate buns are a must have!!! Do not skip on the chocolate buns.

We went on a weekday when they open at 11:30. We didn't have to wait. Often when we go on the weekend or in the evening there is at least a 45 min wait to get a table. I would recommend having a reservation, especially with a larger group. You can walk up and sit at any open seating at the bar.

The employees are helpful with deciding what to order and always friendly.

The food comes out as it is ready so every thing is fresh as it comes to the table.

We really have enjoyed coming here, the food quality is always consistent and great tasting. Service is always wonderful and always helpful if you have questions. I would suggest reserving a table especially on the weekends or you will wait and for sure large tables. This place is popular for sure. Our first experience was the Seattle South Center location which knocked our socks off, we were excited when they opened near us and is never a disappointment at all.

Our favorites include Wood Ear Mushrooms in a Vinegar Dressing, Sweet & Sour baby back ribs, Hot and Sour soup, Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao, Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Dumplings, Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Spicy Wontons, Broccoli and Garlic, Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Pot Stickers, Pork Chop Fried Rice (a MUST), and for dessert Chocolate & Mochi Xiao Long Bao (got a couple you will thank me). I just have to say that everything is great and you can not go wrong. It is very difficult sometimes to stray away from what we love, we do try to have something different each time we go.

I love local places but for a chain, they really do things great here.
