Doc's Deli

I'll follow the path of many other reviewers when I say Doc's Deli doesn't look like much from the outside. The inside is only slightly better, but the staff and product made up for all of it. The smarter customers had called ahead, I however did not. Shame on me, so I had to wait about 10-15 mins for my order. The guy who took my order was friendly and gave the same, "Ok, cheesesteak, what's on it?" to the customers who filed in behind me.

I walked out of there at about $17 and change for a cheesesteak, bag of chips and water. The sandwich was big enough and filling that I didn't even get to the chips.

Now lets get down to the sandwich. Size wise it was huge with a large quantity of chopped meat on a fresh Liscio's roll. The meat itself and cheese had melted together nicely with the roll. No gristle/chewy rubbery pieces included which is a huge bonus. I asked for hot peppers which came in the form of a hot red pepper sandwich spread. The only con I really had was that there was way too much drippy grease coming from the sandwich. Some people love that, but it's not for me.

I would rank this cheesesteak top five I've had overall in Delco. However, in this particular area of Delco, I have not met it's match.

Parking was found in the neighborhood on a side street and they do take credit cards.

A gem that is located in Lansdowne! To the locals who know of Doc's , they already know what to expect, nothing short of spectacular . To the outsiders who are skeptical of this establishment because of its looks, the interior, it doesn't have those flashing lights, or you're unable to sit and eat. We have no issues with you staying away. Just saying.

From their bomb cheesesteaks, down to whatever you order, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend you give Doc's a go!

Some of the best Cheesesteaks and Hoagies you'll ever have. Hidden gem. If you know you know... Not much to look at, just a small deli with good food.

It's as "hole in the wall" as they get.

It doesn't look like much. And the menu is about what you'd expect.

So why do they get the 5 stars from me?

This business is a perfect example of a place that gives you a little extra quality service for what you pay for.

The sandwich was tremendously high quality. It was a mini cheesesteak which was way closer to a regular at any other place for $7.50. The Liscio's roll was fresh, the cheese was plentiful, and they didn't skimp on the juicy beef. It's possibly "best cheesesteak in Delco" quality.

Plus, the guys working the grill and counter were top notch. No grumpy grunts from these guys. They were on point.

Plus, I could grab a pound of Cooper Sharp for $4.99. Best price I've seen.

The food is around 4 star quality and excellent. The attention to detail gets them over the top.

This is my go to place for a cheesesteak when at work or in the surrounding area. This place is definitely in my top 10 for cheesesteaks. The rolls are from Liscio's and are always delivered fresh. The sandwich is very meaty. The meat is seasoned well. I usually order the 12 in steak. I have only finished it once. Every time I have had a cheesesteak I have been very satisfied. I am salivating now as i write this review thinking of their delicious sandwiches

Parking can be a little tricky but I usually pull half way up on the sidewalk in front of the store. They do accept credit card which is always a bonus. Best to call ahead and then pick up as they have no indoor seating.

Huge steaks and hoagies, authentic delval / Philly steak place. Glad I live close. Doesn't look like much from the outside but magic is happening on that grill.

Steaks are delicious, when they actually make them right. The last two times I've been they messed up my steak by not putting anything i asked for on it. I'm a three strikes type of girl, they got one more time to not make my food right. Hate wasting money on food

While visiting The DMV I wanted a philly chicken from a recommended location. After placing the order (1 Chicken mini philly, lettuce, onion, pickles, Mayo & Mustard, tomatoes and cheese wiz. Sunkist Orange!!! And fries) we was told there is a 25 min wait (so call ahead is recommended) so we went to go sit in the car and catch up on a few topics we were discussing on the way here. People was pulling up left and right so this has to be a jewel. Now it's time to go inside to get our orders....on time as promised. Everything was DELICIOUS!!!!!! My Sunkist orange was good and cold and the fries was AWESOME.
