Q:
What is the parking like in that area? Is it free parking? Parallel or a specific place near the restaurant? Thank you!
A:
I'd guess that like so many other places in portland most parking has been taken away and made into on street dinning, or bicycle lanes. Portland leaders don't want you to drive so there's that. Ride your bicycles/take the bus (if you're brave)… more
Mike J.il y a 1 anQ:
Are they still doing $1 oysters during COVID?
A:
Until wholesale prices decline, EaT is unable to provide oysters at the $1 amount. That being said, they're currently always $1.50 an oyster ($9 for half doz or $18 for full).

$1 oysters, can't beat that! I really enjoyed my experience at this New Orleans style restaurant. Turns out one of the people working here grew up in Baton Rouge so you know it's legit.
The oysters come in many varieties here so we went for a variety of each. Fried and baked first were splendid with a nice batter. The main oysters were also great and they explained where each was from. 4 from three different locations.
Service was very quick and friendly and the tap selection had a lot to offer. Will have to come back to try their bread pudding dessert!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3696114 mai 2024
We popped in while waiting for a table at Eem next door. My fiancé ordered a beer and THREE oysters on the half shell. The beer came pretty quickly. Then after maybe 15 minutes, someone came by to ask how we were doing. We said we were just waiting for three oysters. He came back a second later and said "oh they're just really backed up in there" It wasn't even very busy... I also saw another couple sit down and get some other food within a few minutes!
Another 10-15 minutes went by and someone else came to check on us. I told him we had been waiting for quite some time for just THREE oysters. He looked confused but then came back a few minutes later and said our order was next. It look maybe 5 more minutes before we finally got THREE oysters.
I truly do not understand how it took almost 40 minutes to bring us a plate of raw food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 11 avr. 2024
Probably some of the best oysters I've ever had! Reasonable prices for high quality oysters that come with fresh horseradish and an array of delicious sauces. My mom is a huge fan of seafood and she recently came into town so I had to take her here. She has not stopped talking about it since! It might become a new tradition whenever she comes into town. We split a dozen oysters and the fried catfish, which was perfectly crispy and tender. The atmosphere and service are the cherries on top - when you walk in, it feels like you are transported to a dive bar in New Orleans! The servers are always friendly and super quick at bringing food and drinks out. Can't recommend enough!
P.S. Treat yourself to 2 or 3 oyster shooters - super cheap, delicious and gives you a great little buzz!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 27 mars 2024
We LOVE this place! The oysters are fresh, the clams are flavorful and everything in between has been great! The staff is knowledgeable about where the oysters come from and what to expect on your flavor pallet. Service is quick and when they are busy, they set proper expectations. The space is rustic but really cool, especially walking off of a city street, it's definitely not what you expect!! We have gone as far as eating here twice in one day!

The food was good, the oysters- were amazing! I like how they offered different options for "seasonings" (sauce) for the oysters. The ambiance was very dark, but perfect for a night out. The service was a bit slow, but it was pretty busy, so I didn't mind. All of the employees were very nice and didn't mind when we asked for refills on water or anything else. Definitely will be coming back again!

We are three different types of oysters. Both of us caught VIBRIOSIS that same night that continued onto the next day's. I'm very blessed that it didn't continue further because I am autoimmune and this pathogen easily transmits to the blood stream, which is why it is a critical condition that attacks your organ health immediately. It's a very serious illness and I def don't recommend nor will I be going here. Their vibe is coloquial and sends you into a lil fisherman dugout, which is nice. And all the kids hand writing on the wall is a nice touch. None of the entres or sides did I love, for frog legs and hot water cornbread (which was good) in addition to the oysters. For dessert the bread pudding was just so bad. I kind of figured when I notice they brought out a block of it. Anyways, it's an okay place, I don't like personally, but my friend was interested until they also got really sick. 2 stars for effort and because I know they have some happy patrons with stomachs of steel.

Loved this place, didn't think great Cajun food existed out of New Orleans. It's a dive kind of place with world-class oysters which is a huge, huge plus for me. I tried Portland oysters for the first time and the brininess was exceptional. Really fresh and delicious...they also have baked and fried oysters. Served with fresh horse radish as well which is always appreciated. A friend brought some wines to drink with which was a plus. Grabbed a bowl of gumbo (exceptional) and celebrated an old friend with delish sausages. The house plated a special duck dish for us which was marvelous. Shrimp etouffe was beautiful with lots of kick but not overpowering. Loved the handwriting all over the walls but most of all the food and vibes. A wonderful find and must-go for great seafood in Portland!!

Came for a birthday happy hour. Everything was super tasty! I liked that the hushpuppies had good flavor, and the dip with the fries was on point. I had the oyster po'boy which was fantastic with really good bread, spread, and creamy, friend oysters. The collard greens were also tasty. Paying got a bit chaotic, but I don't know if there was a better way to figure that out with their point of sale system. Food was super tasty overall, and folks had a great time!

We came here for drinks and snacks right after we just had lunch down the street. I love oysters and I love how many different ways you can have it. We all tried oyster shooters, raw oysters, baked oysters, and fried oysters. And they were all delicious. I wanted to ear more food, but was already full from lunch. And service was excellent.
