Ezell's Famous Chicken

Stopped in and got the 1/2 pound of chicken tenders. Chicken was crispy, juicy, just the right amount of breading. Goes great with the honey mustard dipping sauce. For sides I had mashed potatoes and slaw, both were good. It also comes with a tasty Hawaiian roll.

Service was super quick. I did a takeout order and it was about five minutes start to finish.

Yelp prompts you to write about the ambience for reasons, but since I did a takeout order I really didn't get to experience any internal decor or the mood lighting, in fact, I'm not even sure there was any.

Strong recommend.

Chicken's good. It's when you order ahead of time for pick-up on their website, they'll say it'll be ready in so-and-so; you go to pick it up and they tell you another 15 minutes. What the hell is that?! Don't say it'll be ready for pick up in a certain time when you can't promise it will be. That's really lame and a waste of time. This has happened not only once, but four times already. Next time, I'll justorder 24 hours ahead of time. Then maybe our food will be REALLY ready on time.

Picked up food from here a few times. In my opinion, it's better than KFC. Loved their rolls.

But I am yet to figure out the customer service at this place. Never had to wait to place my order. It was so good during my first visit. Though it was crowded, I just had to wait for 5 mins to get my food. It was entirely opposite on the second occasion. Waited for 20 mins for 2 piece chicken and a roll. And the roll was missing. Decent on my third visit, just had to wait for 10 mins for 3 piece tenders. And they gave me a 1/2 pound tenders.

Well, not sure how it works there. As long as they don't hold me there for long, I am good. It looks like a fun place to work - people keeps on chatting, cracking jokes and enjoying their work. See you again!

Lemme tell y'all something. Im from the south! My neighbor Ms Hattie Lee made the absolute best peach cobbler EVER. It was so good, i would eat it cold. And I haven't found anybody else's peach cobbler that has ever come close. UNTIL I FOUND EZELL'S PEACH COBBLER! If you are looking for authentic southern peach cobbler, that is great both HOT OR COLD, Ezell's peach cobbler is it!! I enjoy it cold, with a cup of Community Coffee..SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!

And the fried gizzards, livers and okra..with the yeast trolls, NEVER MISS!

I have always loved this place, but I just had a great experience. To the younger employee who's working as a cashier on Easter Sunday- you are so sweet and kind, keep it up!!

The people here are ver nice, love them! The parking was easy to find! The fried chicken is very juicy and crispy! Love it! The rolls wasn't warm, I think last time they were crispy outside and very warm! I'll revisit for sure!

Last few times we have been to the mill creek location have been disappointing
Lukewarm chicken with not much flavoring
Mashed potatoes were lumpy
Baked beans and roll were great

I placed order online!
When I got home - my Mac and cheese was not there!
I called and asked for manager - the girl refused to give me name of manager and said he was gone!
She hung up on me!
I called back and again she refused to give me any info and hung up on me again!
She said I couldn't get refund unless I talked to mgr and refused to tell me when he would be in!
Very rude and unprofessional treatment!

My husband wanted chicken, and I wasn't in the mood to cook a full meal. I took a chance and ordered a 16 piece meal from Ezell's. I appreciate the promptness as it took about 15 minutes to complete the order. This location has a 6 person lobby limit, which is ideal considering restaurant size. The customer service was decent in person, better over the phone.
We don't eat a lot of salty or fried foods, but my husband said the chicken was bland and wanted me to add seasoning to the chicken prior to warming it up. Keep in mind he is from Chicago, he compares ALL chicken to kHarold's chicken & waffles.
My older son and his friends enjoyed their meal, and I appreciate the helping hand with dinner tonight.

Simple review: Chicken Perfection!

A few more details: I have frequented this location many times, always dine in. Sometimes alone, sometimes with others. They are always consistent, fresh, and very enjoyable. Yes, sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for the next batch; however, its worth the wait.

The chicken portions are generous, juicy, and never greasy. The sides are always fresh, don't forget the amazing rolls. Ezell's is always clean, the staff is always friendly, and its always a good value (yep, that is 3 always).

Highly recommended, I will be back.
