Flame and Skewers Mediterranean Restaurant

I want to start off by saying that this place has excellent customer service. The gentleman running the register who took my order was extremely friendly.

I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch early dinner. I picked up one of their beef kebab bowls although I've had plenty of their wraps, I have never tried one of their beef kebab bowls. The beef kebab was extremely tender and so flavorful. The bowl itself was extremely filling and left me perfectly content at the end of the meal

This place has plenty of seating to accommodate groups if needed.

This is such a good go-to place and I've reviewed it a couple of times now. But it never disappoints. The food is always tenter and flavorful. The service is always efficient. It's an old friend. You always know what you're going to get.

We enjoy sitting outside on the patio. Yeah, it's noisy, but if you've been in the office all day, any "outside" will work.

We alternate between the Chicken kabobs and the chicken swarma. both are really good. The hummus and taziki are good too. You know the food is good when I take a bite of food before I get my photos. ;)

Food is delicious and fresh here. Was craving something simple and tasty so here I am (again). Lucky for me they have a few locations in Bakersfield so I am not too far from one.

The wrap comes with hummus and tahini, lettuce, tomatoes, and sliced pickles. I'm ordered a side of the garlic sauce to pump up the flavor and also added a few peppers.

You'd think I'd learn not coming to this location. A phone order turned 1hour more wait. Now my other food order pick up from another place getting cold. How does this place do this? Will not come here again!

Go see my guy Ala at Flame & Skews... he's the reason I come back other than the food lol. His service is absolutely fantastic!!! Friday night at 7pm he hooks it up. Definitely recommended for a great meal. Nice to get away from fast food. Because of Ala, I keep this location in the rotation and I recommend that you do too!! Combo with beef & chicken all day!!!

The food is excellent. French fries might be the best in town. Nothing like their fries. Allah provided amazing customer service. That guy is so positive and always smiling. I highly recommend the chicken swarma wrap and salad.

The customer service here is so great. I've been coming for years and it hasn't changed. Thank goodness. The quality of food is so delicious. There's plenty of seating for big parties and I can take my kids here to eat.

No, it's not good, not good at ALL!!! Abysmal, rotten, gross, disgusting, awful, rotten food! Wraps is sweet for some reason (most likely due to incompetent chefs). My drink was flat to bejesus and back! The bread was bland. The garlic sauce was weird. But the fries were mid (meaning they were the best). Do not eat here. The people here obviously do not taste before serving. I mean, HOW CAN YOU EVEN SCREW A DRINK UP?!?!? I have never had a BAD gyro. I once had a gravy chicken sandwich in Canada that was disappointing, and it was STILL better than the garbage I had here! What did they do? Go dumpster diving at another Mediterranean place and served it here? Rating 0.1/10!

Been ordering food here regularly since it opened, and the beef shish kebab has usually been good, not great. I just wanted to write this review today because I don't know if it was a change in beef supplier or the cook there today - My beef shish kebab was so insanely delicious, and perfectly prepared, medium and pink with incredibly tender meat! More of this please!!

Kudos to their social media handlers, IG made me want to give this place a try despite seeing the reviews here on Yelp. Having a kid's appetite, I went for the beef kabob plate with rice while the daughter had the beef shawarma plate with fries. I thought that we were getting a good deal because both meals come with drinks but the drinks, unfortunately, were the best part of our meals. The beef and our sides were underwhelming, I expected some tzatziki or tahini sauce at least but there was none so the food lacked the depth that I was looking for. Everything just tasted dry and bland. The restaurant look could probably have made up for the food but it was even worse than the food. And the service, well, let's just say the staff looked like they just wanted to go home and call it a day.
