So this is my second time eating at Great Rivers. You can get great American food like burgers etc.
But wait...
What's this?
Usually one or two dishes by what seems to be some Eastern European grandmother.
I've had perogies
I just ate the lamb sausages in tomato sauce on top of noodles.

Those lamb sausages were divine.
Sooooooop good
So do yourself a favor. Enjoy the unusual dish.

The chicken strips were made from scratch moist and seasoned well, lamb sausage with butter egg noodle would highly recommend. Pan seared spiced broccoli had nice flavoring.the out side patio was nice evening spot. Waiting staff was informative and nice.

Best beer selection in town! Excellent fresh made food. Try the burger. Cool pub atmosphere. Great service. Bartender has a great knowledge of beers on tap.

Located inside a hotel...Best Western Premier...this tap and grill has many scratch made choices.
It was 5:30 on a Thursday evening. Restaurant entrance was locked so we entered through the hotel. My date and I were one of two tables. There were more diners when we left, but still not busy. Service was very good...friendly and prompt.
I was super hungry, hangry really, so we ordered an appetizer. Pierogis came fast and hit the spot. Egg noodles and lamb sausages are scratch made. Sausages were cooked medium and very tasty. Shrimp & grits tasted just like New Orleans style BBQ shrimp and cheese grits. Hefty portion of grits for my appetite. I ended up eating all the shrimp and half the grits.

Fries were absolutely horrible and soggy. I ordered the basin burger it was decent but for saying it is topped with grilled shrimp is comical. It had 1 shrimp in the container not even on the burger

Attended a seminar catered by the hotel's restaurant. VERY good food. Decided to stop for dinner on the way home from work because I wanted the amazing salad I'd had at the seminar. My husband loved the burger. I liked my pasta, but loved the apple dessert. Have returned. Keep coming back due to location, food available at late hours, great food.

This is a good spot for some really good food. Down fall, the service is horrible. I keep giving this place a chance because it is never busy. Now I know why. Sorry, I tried few times. I came in on a Saturday for lunch with my family. We had the dinning room to our selves. We sat for 15 minutes before waitress came over to ask what we wanted to drink. WE put in an appetizer order for pretzels and received them after the food came out. Had some crap floating around my tea. So sad to have a good chef with creative dishes and nobody manages the dinning room.

Visited this restaurant on my way back from an errand. Exciting menu, and worth the drive from St. Louis. We ordered the mushroom toast, pierogis, lamb pasta, bison and cod sliders, side of cauliflower. The apps were tasty and I am told the pierogis and pasta are made fresh in house and you can taste the difference! Definitely share the mushroom toast as it is very rich. The frilled veggies were a welcomed contrast to the beer cheese, just wish I had not scared the veggies down so quickly lol. Cauliflower was spicy, so be careful as well as the tomato sauce on the lamb dish. But of the lamb sausage was delicious and the pasta to die for! Bison slider is definitely worth trying as I love me some bison, but the cod slider did not sing as much as the other dishes. So, the downside was there was 1 server for all the tables. Food came out extremely slow, but the staff was very nice. This restaurant is inside a hotel, so I recommend getting carryout.
