Hormel Historic Home

Museum review (not event space): I had the museum all to myself. That definitely makes the experience nicer!

The house is absolutely wonderful. Lots of furnishings still exist in the home and you get a real feel for what it might've been like. You also get a little bit of history of the Hormel family and the empire of SPAM (and more) he built! Definitely a nice complement to the SPAM Museum just down the street.

Holly (or was it Molly?) was an absolute sweetheart in starting me off on the tour with some information about the house and history and apologizing for a non-existent FedEx mess. Thanks!

COVID notes: Yes, they are open during coronavirapocalypse. For $5 you can do a self-guided tour. You can pick up a booklet or just read the information provided room to room, your choice.

What a beautiful home, I really liked this self guided tour, you will be greeted when you enter the home, $5 per person. You get a brochure with info on each room.
There is an area in the back of house that is newer, they rent out for events. Very beautiful spaces.

Lovely place for a wedding. Attended one with around 80 guests and all the windows really give it a bigness while also keeping it intimate. Very nice staff.

I just had my wedding here and it was amazing. Everyone at Hormel Historic Home was a pleasure to work with, and everything went very smoothly. The space was beautiful, and fit the feel of our wedding perfectly. I have no complaints at all, I hope I get to attend more weddings here in the future.
