Ice Shack

Burger was over done, tomato was tasteless but no worse than any other fast food place, fries were ok waffle fries are not my favorite, but they ran out of ketchup !,
Spouse had the pulled pork and loved it, of course she had extra sauce!
The brisket is next on my list, since they smoke there own .
Over all worth a revisit to this Mennonite run establishment, lots of ice stuff ( like Italian ice ), ice creams , malted and shakes to try

Been here a few times now while visiting the thrift store in the same complex. I like that they offer a variety of wraps, hot sandwhiches, as well as salads and soups. They have a different special every day written on the large chalkboard wall by the ordering station. They also serve ice cream and cold treats, all made to order.

The inside is very clean and tidy, and they also have outside seating. Depending on what time it is it does get very busy with the line going outside.

Everything I've gotten there (sandwhiches, salads, wraps, fries) were decent but average. I do think they use alot of processsed meats (cubed chicken, etc) in their items. Being that they are Mennonite run I'd love if they offered more homemade items. On the plus I do like that they use spring mix lettuce in many of their offerings.

As far as places to eat in this area, this is the best.

i think I need to try something else besides the suggested pulled pork sandwich, because it was nothing special, it was solid though. The real deal was the Apple crisp sundae I got, and with the warm apples in that soft serve and caramel sauce, it was easily a 10/10 so that made my trip a 4/5

VERY SLOW SERVICE when it's busy. Ice cream customers seem to be served more efficiently (two staff covering that window). On the other hand, my take-out hot sandwich combo got lost in a very busy shuffle. After an usually long wait, I went back to counter to check on my order. A friendly staff member checked and came back with it immediately. Given that my "hot" sandwich was cool and sweet potato fries cold and limp, my order must have sat undelivered for some time at the grill in the back (out of sight from the front counter). My container came unmarked. No name or identifying receipt was on it. What happened?

THIS IS A NICE PLACE staffed by very nice folks. I've been there many times and will go back again; but, the food service is always slow. (I wouldn't be writing this complaint if it was as slow as it usually is.) This time it was VERY SLOW!
Understaffed? Inefficient? Who knows? If you order food, make sure that you have the time to wait for it. Good food, but not "fast" food!

Great burger and milkshake. Hubby had the waffle fries and pulled pork sandwich with a vanilla milkshake. Great porch and separated tables for social distancing. Very impressed with their 100 score on the health department review/ratings.

Only for ice cream! Lots of choices and good prides but food is typical bar like fast food. Be sure to have Pepto at home!

Food never disappoints. We just had pulled pork sandwich and it was probably the best one I've ever had.. some stuff is a little pricey but it's worth it to me for good food.

I love the Ice Shack, it's a wonderful place for a treat! Both the food and desserts are great. I love when I get the chance to stop by when I'm in town.

Excellent ice cream and decent food. Proces are about the same as any place else but the staff is very friendly.
