We ended up fixing our collapsed sink ourselves. Though only two years and a handful of months had passed, nobody wanted to stand by their products or installation workmanship, so we were left footing the bill to reinstall correctly what the professionals couldn't manage to do the first time. It became clear when prepping the sink for reattachment how terribly it was done the first time. The silicon sealant was applied unevenly and with large gaps, and there were only 4 small brackets holding up the sink. The brackets were so cheap and flimsy they were bent and twisted. After a little research, they were not rated for the style of sink we had installed. We paid for new silicon sealant, new brackets, and tools, and spent half a day reconnecting the sink ourselves following code and the manufacturer recommendations that they themselves couldn't even be bothered to know or follow.
Bottom line: buy nothing from ikea that you do not fully intend on throwing away after a handful of years, at most.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 013 sept. 2023Avis précédentBuyers beware. We spent $5000 on a new kitchen renovation from ikea 2.5 years ago and it is completely falling apart. The drawer hardware started falling off the tracks a year ago. The cabinet engineered wood has started to disintegrate, and last night our sink fell through the counter top. Since then, we've spent more than three hours attempting to schedule warranty service for a repair and have experienced the most purposefully cumbersome and convoluted series of untrained representatives and completely inadequate online and phone systems. The complete disregard for quality despite attempting to portray the not cheap kitchen renovations as high quality should be criminal: we didn't get what we were told we were being sold. And when we attempted to activate the warranty for a repair, IKEA tries to see if they can get you to give up and drop it. By design, only the most extremely determined and those gifted with endless lengths of time and patience to sit on hold and explain the situation repeatedly to a series of apparently good people who ikea didn't even bother to give the training or tools they need to be effective will get any service. We will absolutely never be buying anything from ikea ever again.

I ordered online for click & collect.
I've picked up with Click & Collect now from both stores in Edmonton and Calgary, I'm a fan.
Super slick Click & Collect ordering system - received confirmation email, arrived at my selected pickup time.
Pulled into a spot, texted the posted phone number with the spot I was parked in, my order number, name and vehicle description.
Staff were all wearing PPE, masks, and they wheeled out my order and dropped the cart behind my vehicle.
I loaded up and headed out. There is one parcel that looks like it had some forklift damage, but I'm not worried - it's wood and I can sand whatever dents down.
I have no delusions of going in the store, waiting for any kind of line-up, or return.

What the hell is wrong with Ikea? Has anybody tried calling the one 866 number in the last week? I've been calling repeatedly and haven't been able to get through it's just put you on hold with the worst on hold music ever. Finally after waiting for 45 minutes today somebody finally answered this was how the conversation went.......
"hello?"
That's how he answered.
So I said "hello is this Ikea?"
He answered "ummmmmmmmmmm...... "
Literally doesn't know the name of the company that he works for. I asked "is this Ikea????? I'm trying to Ask a simple question about delivery for these two solar powered lights"
This should've been a 30 second transaction.
He did not respond at all. I kept saying hello hello? Finally after about four minutes of dead air he said in very very very slow stunted slurred speech "hi... Do... Not... Think... I can take down your address for that location....."
I literally was about to ask him if he's having a stroke that's how bad his voice sounded. I didn't want to sound rude but I'm literally worried the guy is having a stroke right now. I said very loudly and clearly "is this Ikea? "
Again another three or four minute delay and then he said "hi... I Do not think... You have the right phone number"....... I triple checked my number. I called this one 866 number the only number listed on their website worldwide. I think they should check on the health of their staff answering the phones and after a week of not being able to get through I have a bad feeling that they literally employ only one person to answer their phones worldwide. What the hell Ikea -you're a multibillion dollar company -get your shit together please. Used to be really good but has gone downhill in the recent months. They've changed a lot of their food in the cafeteria and the past few times I've been there they've been out of at least one thing. For me, the furniture and shopping areas seems pretty much the same, but are a bit more disorganized recently. Cafeteria was also really dirty.

Its cool to come here. Nice to walk around and check out the showroom. Things are cheaply priced. Quality really depends on what you get. I find that quality is a bit lacking here but for the price ok.
Food is cheap here. soup and garlic bread for less than $4 and hot dogs less than $1.
Also join the membership program for points and for discounts. Its free to join.

HORRIBLE.
I lined up in 33c heat for an hour and a 1/2 to return a chair while my mother in law took my small children in the other entrance to shop.
I overheard the lady at reruns tell a woman that you have to leave the store and re enter the line to shop.
There are no signs anywhere stating this.
I'd I had known that I would have just lined up with my mother in law and kids and returned the item later.
I asked the lady at the returns if I could join them explaining I had small children with my mother in law she said yes just tell the greeter.
The greeter said no get back in line.
The line to get back in is 2 hours long.
No shade
No water
No place to sit
Just blazing sun and an announcement that says IKEA cares shout their customers health and safety during COVID.

IKEA is a great place either if you are a big family and need to furnish a big house or just a guy like me which really don't know what are you doing. Everything in the story is very well organized and needs to find if you follow the proper signs. The store staff is always helpful.

Great place IKEA is.
Wide range of quality products and great price. Huge selection of home furniture and service is fantastic!
Always busy but both parking lot and inside are huge naturally.
Return policy is nice. Great place to make home look moderate and in style!

I looked for several items and every one of them was no stock in Calgary, including alternate items. Also, the items listed as stock were actually out of stock. Ikea, are you going broke? Why are you out of stock on so many items? What is wrong with you?

IKEA seams to be almost the same all over the world. So no need to review that I think. Staff is available, helpful and friendly. What's not necessarily the same is the restaurant. So my rating is for the restaurant! It's not too clean, food is...okay. The breakfast is very good regarding the price. We tried dinner there ones, no desire to go there again for dinner.
