We had such a great time at Irish Times! we have been here before but this time really stood out, our server Mike S was exceptional! I had a couple dietary questions/concerns and he was able to answer them for me and made us feel very comfortable.
Mike was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed even before we asked for it; what an asset to Irish Times! we had great food and an even better time!
We will be back very soon!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 6 avr. 2024
The best part about this location is the service. The bartender and waitresses are all very friendly, and they come check on you several times throughout your meal.
The food itself is very OK. We got the grilled cheese with tomato, and it was fine but room temperature. The fries were also under seasoned and needed quite a bit of salt.
They have a large selection of drinks, a be prepared as many of them are not available. We had to ask for three different drinks before they had one of them available from their drink menu.
Atmospheres is also pretty good. The lighting is a little dim, however, it is great. Come here on Tuesday night at 8 PM if you want to participate in some trivia as well!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rick M.Chicago, États-Unis35524112819 nov. 2023
It's just fine. I really wish they would read the notes on the to-go orders. I asked for an upgrade on the fries as well as an additional side sauce. I would have gladly paid more and was planning on doing so. For what it's worth, I also asked for utensils. Nothing. Not even ketchup! Wow...
As for the food: The wedge salad was boring. The bleu cheese dressing was clearly from a bottle and tasted like preservatives. The burger was bland and a little dry; tasted like the grill. Irish Times used to be good but I feel like they just stopped putting in any effort over the last 6-10 months.
I've ordered from here before and it is always hit or miss. I've had the fish and chips in the past and they were pretty good. Another time I ordered and paid but the food never showed up on Uber Eats - I thought that was an Uber problem but who knows at this point.
My fault for the bad judgement call on ordering here tonight but I likely won't be back. I do think they're probably better when you dine in, but the last time I was there it was a hot summer day and they had no air conditioning so I left.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Judy P.Lombard, États-Unis37531618 avr. 2024
Nice restaurant in town. They have a huge outdoor area for eating outside on a beautiful night. When we were there it was really busy and service was not that good, but food was very good and came out fairly quickly. The one complaint I have is that I ordered a RC and got a diet. I'm asked the server and she that they were out of RC and gave me the diet without asking.

This place is fantastic!
My number 1 complaint is that everything was so sticky! The floor was sticky, the chairs were sticky (but wicked comfortable), the menus were sticky... just... sticky! I have no idea what they could even do about that or if they'd want to do anything about it, but I did not love the sticky...
Food -- I had the "Shepherd's Pie" or Cottage Pie as it would culinary be called. It had nice, roasted (not ground) hunks of beef and bits of carrot, corn, surrounded by a moat of gravy. Absolutely divine -- I've had several of these pies and often there's too much cheese, but they put just the right amount of cheese to make a crust and left it at that! I took "home" leftovers to our hotel and actually had it cold, on the road the next day and it was great road food -- like a deconstructed pasty.
Two people in our party had the beef stew (which is where I suspect the beef comes from for the "Shepherd's Pie") HUGE chunks of stewed carrots! Dripping in gravy, I read that many people said there would be leftovers and it was a huge dish, but neither person took home leftovers of the beef stew.
Someone ordered the fries and it came with the horseradish sauce. I'm not a huge fan of that sinus-cleanser spice, but this sauce was well-balanced and very yummy. The fries were average, an okay vehicle for the sauce.
All around -- I'd definitely go back and recommend. Perhaps go after a fancy event, not before (like we did!)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jerry B.Henderson, États-Unis281619 mars 2024
$42 for two corned beef sandwiches? Time to add a couple of $$ to the review! Nice neighborhood bar. Bring yer wallet!

Wow. Came in amd the sign says, seat yourself. We sat there for quite some time. No one ever acknowledged us. No menus, no food, no nothing.

This was the place that I had my first drink as a 21 year old, before going downtown to celebrate.
Years later I popped in during my grandmothers wake, for a shot in her honor with my brother and dad. The service is great. I love the interior and the beer garden, it was honestly what we needed during a long, and sad day. I also appreciated the nostalgia.
Glad to see this place is still around after all these years!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
