15 mins.. and I still haven't seen a server for the check. Went to the bar and was told to go back to the booth and here we are.. another 10 mins later.
Food was good as always.. it's just the service at this location that could really use some pointers from the Copans road location.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 016 mars 2024Avis précédentGenerally I don't leave reviews and I really don't have time to go on about what all went wrong during my visit but when deciding between their two locations, I'd highly suggesting driving the extra few miles to Copans Road in Pompano. You'll get much faster service and a server who actually has a vast knowledge of the menu. I will say though, when it comes to the food it's pretty consistent between the two, very good!

Above and Beyond!
I made reservations a week ago for a table of 12 for last evening. We arrived early and were greeted by Rebecca Elaine (I think that's her name) and she was wonderful . As the evening went on we had more people join us and ended up with 16 or 17. She added extra chairs, and our waiter Patrick was EXCELLENT!
He took drink orders and then had all of the food delivered at the same time!!! Quite an accomplishment! Could not have asked for better food or service ! Thank you!!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gonzalo R.Fort Lauderdale, États-Unis28152 mars 2024Avis mis à jour
Very disappointing experience today at J Marks Fort Lauderdale where I've going regularly on weekends for more than 15 years, sometimes Saturdays & Sundays.
Today I handed to the bartender the add run in the magazine this week: 3 entrees to pick from with a baked potato as per the picture. He said he could not honor that as the potato was a $3.50 up charge regardless of the add.
He went to the back and someone came, did not introduce himself, no name badge, and said they could not honor the add, according to the menu. I told him I believe this week's add supersedes the menu, no he answered.
I asked the bartender and he said the person was "Charlie" acting manager, apparently.
Disgusting. Raised prices and reduced portions, not a good sign.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 024 sept. 2017Avis précédentGo there very often. Last time just today this afternoon. Eric was our server. Excellent service, great food and a great value. Highly recommended. Juan at the bar is also an excellent guy. They all go ahead of what is needed to please their customers.

Great menu with many options: from brunch to dinner entrees at lunch sizes, I loved their hickory burger. They also have happy hours drinks. White linen napkins and, last but not least, the service: super attentive and friendly professional. Prices as reasonable. I'll keep going.

I have eaten here probably over 20 times in the past 5 years. The menu has many options and the food is consistently good.
Last night we took a family member to dinner. She was not particularly hungry so she ordered the crab cake appetizer as her entrée which was priced at MP. A plate showed up with ONE crab cake smaller than the size of a golf ball and she shared a ceasar side salad. When the check arrived the crab cake was $17 which hit me as excessively expensive given that I had a dinner sized Cobb salad with chicken for $18. All said, the meal was nice and our server was extremely friendly.
I'll go back, but I am just a little disappointed, at least this time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 1217812616 mars 20241 check-in
The server Justin was delightful and responsive the place was immaculate. The steak was perfectly cooked to my desired temp. No sauce or any extra flavoring was needed. My wife's salad was pretty tasty as well. They shaved the chicken into the salad and that gives it a nice tender bite. The dressings in the salads were just bursting with flavor, I'm not sure if they do already but they should bottle them. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great steak. The mid day specials were a bargain too.

J Mark's has been around for a long time and has been fairly consistent over the years. Its long running special is a great deal and keeps many locals returning. There was a time when many would go to the bar because the bartender connected with everyone. However, there was been a series of cranky bartenders and this has dampened enthusiasm to return. I had the steak special and it was delicious. Ambiance is there provided the bartenders are not cranky.

The other very positive attribute is the amazing service. In short they take care of you. Food wise, this is a solid restaurant and you cannot go wrong. Some of the side dishes have vegetables with garlic butter and it goes down very easy. Great wines to try and they do a good job with cocktails. Def with the effort to find parking which is less than desirable.

So I would come to eat at this restaurant about 4 or 5 times a month. The food is good and the waiters are friendly and the allow quiet dogs. I have to say that I have stopped eating at this place due to price hike that really bothers me. So when I received my receipt for the bill i realized the price for Regular ice Tea was at 4.75$ on the other hand the beer we had was 2.50$(happy hour) price. I guess what I'm trying to say is that that i won't or refuse to pay that price (4.75$) for a drink that is made using regular faucet water. Soda is cheaper. I don't mind paying higher price but the quality has to be there and unfortunately I now eat at a different restaurant that is more elegant and friendly.

Florida seems to be the place for me to dine out. Every place I come to just keeps getting better and better. J. Mark's is clearly no exception to the rule. We were headed to the Parker Playhouse and stopped here for dinner. Easy in and out and there is plenty of parking. We walked into the restaurant and after a nice greeting we could see that there were some large parties here. So we opted to go outside which was a good move. They have a very large area for outdoor dining that was not full and therefore not too noisy,
We sat down and was immediately visited by our wonderful waiter who brought [delicious] roles and took a drink order. A few minutes later we ordered our dinners.
-Riggatoni with meatballs and goat cheese - I loved this. A delicious marinara sauce with very tasty [small meatballs and [yummy] goat cheese.
-Oriental Chicken Salad - consisting of Mixed greens, shaved grilled chicken breast, mandarin oranges, green onions, snow peas, almonds, bean sprouts & sesame seeds. Tossed in a plum dressing with crispy wontons. Drizzled with Thai peanut sauce
-Grilled Chicken Salad - All white-meat chicken salad with sliced grapes & walnuts. Topped with lettuce, tomato, apple wood smoked bacon strips & havarti cheese on a freshly baked croissant or sliced multi-grain bread.
Everyone enjoyed their selections. This was a fun place to sit and eat with a lot of electricity in the air. Perfect stop before the show.

I have been going to this restaurant since it's inception and without hesitation I can not think of another restaurant that performs consistently every day. Each time I visit the place it's as good as the last time. Great selection and variety of items are on the menu. I have tried just about every single dish available and without hesitation I can say that the food is consistently great.
The bartenders are very knowledgeable and very friendly but best of all from the hostess to the wait staff all go out of their way to make sure your dining experience is the best it can be and will be.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to my friends and family. You will not be disappointed!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
