I went here for dinner tonight with my husband. The restaurant is in a beautiful brick building in Enfield village. The interior is separated into a bar area with some tables and across the entry hall is the dining area. We were seated promptly in the dining area. There were several groups of people but the noise level was tolerable and we could easily talk during our meal. The dining area has a Victorian theme with historical pictures on the wall and lots of light from the many windows. Our server, Alex, was friendly, humorous and attentive. We ordered the southwest chicken egg rolls for a starter with our drinks. The egg rolls were so good I could have easily made a meal of them. For my entree, I had the steak tips on a bed of brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes topped with mushrooms, caramelized onions and blue cheese crumbles. I ordered my steak rare and it was exactly as i requested. The meat melted in my mouth, so delicious. The brussel sprouts were perfectly done with a bright flavor and no bitterness. I will definitely be back for another meal.

Wow, I can not believe this absolute gem is not on Yelp. Well...I'm adding it and you're welcome in advance.
Food is outstanding!!!! Bar and dining area. Off street parking. Friendly, hard working staff. We had wings with 2 blends of sauce, edamame, cheeseburger, and fish tacos.
Wings were fantastic. Edamame- large portion, salted, and garlic added. Mouthwatering deliciousness. Smash burger was on point. 3 large fish tacos served w a side.
We ended with strawberry rhubarb tart. Served fresh and warm.
I am head over heels for this place. I can't wait to go back and eventually try EVERYTHING on the menu!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tyrone M.Avondale, États-Unis993222 juill. 2022
They get no stars. Food was so salty. If your not a local they act like you don't exist. Your not greeted and all the staff has the" your bothering me attitude. If your looking for a place to eat stay as far away as you can. They don't deserve your money and you will wish you went somewhere else!
Had to give one star just to post. I would like to give them -2 stars.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Naomi M.Avondale, États-Unis536314522 juill. 2022
Visiting Enfield New Hampshire and decided to visit this establishment as a recommendation from my son. When visiting a restaurant I rate the full experience from the moment I walk in up to paying my bill. I viewed the menu outside posted on the window and a young man came out placed a flag near me and said hello. There was a man at the time I did not know was the manager. No hello just what do you want. I only remembered the special and asked for a menu. He did not hand me the menu he dropped the menu in front of me which literally made a loud smacking noise. He rang me up said it will take 20 mins. There were two young girl servers which the manager seemed more interested in entertaining them instead of representing his position as a manager. Perhaps he felt revisiting his youth was more important than creating a welcoming presence in this establishment.
Then I am reminded that I am not a local in this community and though money is universal my presence here felt unwelcome. I am a huge supporter in spending my money into small local businesses. When the manager brought my food I asked if he was the owner, he did point out the owner. At that moment my emotions were not in the right place so I thanked him and left with my $142 dinner for my family. I walked away feeling disappointed with my experience with the staff, but I was looking forward to enjoying our dinner. I walked home and found missing our 2 dozen wings. When I went back I decided I would provide feedback to the manager. After sharing how he plopped the menu in front of me, how I felt not welcomed in a respectful manner there was no apology which sadden me even more that I was not over reacting. I asked to speak to the owner Doug who did a good job listening as I shared what I shared with his manager. Doug apologized he did add a free dessert for not having my wings. My opinion if you are not a local and your looking for a welcoming and warm experience this may not be your place. Now I know that a business can have off days and moments. I have always stood by giving a business a second chance and though this review is about my experience it is important to form your own opinion if you choose to visit here. As for the food the Chicken Caprese was over fried/cooked. The wings were very tasty we ordered all the flavors. The Haddock with Clam Chowder nice size pieces but very salty. The kids meal good for kids and the Smash Burger got a thumbs up the fries were not a hit to greasy. I would say if you love wings they do make very tasty wings. I have to say it but the free dessert Doug gave me he said was award winning I would agree 100%. I have worked in the restaurant industry for many years and if Doug can train his manager to treat and welcome all patrons which include non locals I believe the experience will be elevated for Kitchen 56. Management can have a huge impact on an owners business. Thank you Doug for your apology.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Darin E.NH, États-Unis0316 sept. 2023

Who would ever recommend edamame is outrageous cuisine oh my God find me the best warm roast beef cheesy onions, mayonnaise sandwich in the state and then I will give you a five star review because that's what I'm looking for. Not edamame.

Second visit. Not a fan. Possibly the worst fish tacos I've ever had. Deep fried batter with a little haddock inside, supposedly. House salad dressing over garlicy and inedible. Buffalo wings are average. Very limited liquor shelf. Semi cold draught beer. The wait staff and "bartenders" would benefit from some schooling on customer relations and service. I won't be back.

Recommend the Bourbon Mustard Salmon, beet salad, and the special carrot cake / cheese cake dessert that was, well, special. Our server, who in other life is a first grade teacher, was exceptional.

Happy to have a solid restaurant in the area that isn't a pizza place. Got the steak gyro as takeout. While it didn't blow my mind, it was a good portion and a good price, and very tasty! Happy I dont have to drive all the way to Lebanon to get a quick takeout meal. Definitely going to be back. The spot they are in has been many different restaurants over the years, all of which close quickly. Maybe this place will break the curse?
