This is conveniently located right in front of my class, so of course, I had to give in to the temptations. EVERY. TIME.
Here's what I've had:
Hot Chocolate - This is a winner -- Not the instant/packet kind!
Asian Chicken Salad - Hands down, best salad in the fridge
Chorizo and Egg Sandwich - This AIGHT.
Fruit Cup - Fresh as ever
Brownie - Satisfies the craving, but lacking the chewiness (gluten free?)
Rice Crispy - Healthier than the packaged ones
Anyways, if you happen to attend SJCC this spot has y'all covered from coffee, tea, sandwiches, snacks, cookies and candy.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Anonymous ..Santa Clara, États-Unis016 déc. 2023
I normally order from Kj's daily. I get a hot chocolate and specifically ask for a chocolate drizzle. There's a lady that's there that is extremely nice. Today, there was a worker I had never seen. This guy was very hostile with me for no reason. I asked for my order (a hot chocolate with a chocolate drizzle) and he gave me a hot chocolate with a caramel drizzle. I respectfully told him that I don't like caramel and asked for chocolate, and he yelled in my face saying I said caramel. My friend was standing next to me when I ordered and she told him that I said chocolate and that she was the one that said caramel. So after yelling at me once more, he scooped out the whip cream, put a drop of cream, barely any chocolate drizzle and aggressively said "Here!" Then, my friend got her order, and he said "Is this fine, or are you gonna change your order too?!" While screaming in our faces. I have never had a problem with Kj's, but I know that I won't be coming back if he's there. The girl that is normally there is extremely kind, he's just the opposite.

We used KJ's for our nursing pinning ceremony. Their cakes were amazing.....people were having once slice of each flavor because they were so delicious. KJ's set up the cake, sliced it, provided all plates/utensils, provided coffee with all the accoutrements. Their service enabled me to enjoy the ceremonies!

This cafe is located at Mission College. They have two locations: inside Gillmor Center & inside the Student Engagement Center. Both are way overpriced which isnt fair given students are their main customers. I ordered a decaf chai latte with almond milk (I cant have dairy) and it was $5!!! This was a small- they charged $3.50 for the drink, $.80 for the espresso shot (which I thought came with the drink, I did say DECAF), and then .60 for almond milk. I tipped her $1 so this $6 decaf latte was my last at this place. It isn't even that much at Starbucks or Peets. Unbelievable- refuse to shop here again.

Their sandwiches of which they press on the panini machine are heavenly. They're locally made in Redwood City so you know they're always fresh. Yum!! They don't announce when your sandwich is done being warmed up so pay attention. Plus they're not made from not so appealing items like the cafeteria sandwiches which I have zero interest in, these are bakery sandwiches. Legit. Ok, I know, I like sandwiches. Shut up! ;)

It is open for business way before the cafeteria. For once I actually wanted something to eat rather than a carbonated beverage today; I can get from the vending machine anytime. I have early class on Mondays and Wednesdays so on days that I forget to bring my protein shake or my protein bar, I can come here and grab a bagel or a muffin or a croissant.. they have a variety of cookies too but I stayed away from that today. I never see their full selections probably because things get sold pretty quickly over here. I was one of the few first customers this morning and I got a jalapeno bagel w/ cream cheese.. the lady made me feel good by calling me, "Honey" and I know it doesn't mean anything but it was still nice to be called that, haha.
There is a microwave and a 4 slot-toaster thing right beside the kiosk so that's where I warmed up my yummy bagel.
Aside from pastries, they serve coffee (like Starbucks) and tea, have a variety of protein bars, candies, potato chips, gum/mints, and Cup O Noodles ooh and before I forget, sodas and I think they have juice too.
Service can be slow since there is 1 person man-handling the register and the drinks.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Zepto M.Santa Clara, États-Unis11010225 juill. 2018
Worst cafe to get your coffee. If you are a coffee lover, go to Starbucks or peet's instead. Dont ever get their ice coffee. Again, dont ever get their ice coffee.

I just had to acknowledge the awesome customer service at the KJ's Cafe in San Jose City Hall. The man behind the counter was friendly, not just to me, but it seemed like he was best friends with everyone in line. It was so refreshing to see a barista smiling and laughing for a change. I was having a lousy day and he literally flipped my mood. My double cap was perfectly made, and particular because good foam is hard to do. I was happy to hear they use organic , Equator brand coffee - so, so good. Totally recommend. I will definitely be back

Used to be a time when that back gate was left open; that little people gate that led from Mission College to Mercado and all the food options therein.
Sure a heck-ton of people figured out that they could park back there for a semester and not have to buy a parking permit. Shoot, parking behind Mercado was closer to campus than Mission's own parking lot.
Of course, proximity to a movie theatre and a non-ID-vigilant bar probably stalled out my edumakashunal momentum.
But now that gate is closed off.
So, in the middle of a 5-hour summer school class, if I get a little thirsty/hungry, KJ's Cafe is the soul option.
Not bad for a massive, glorified coffee cart. Coffee, pastries, smoothies. Packaged sammiches, salads, sushi, wraps, fruit, bottled beverages. Cup-o-Noodle. Etc.
Not bad and not [horribly] expensive.

I'm so glad KJ's Cafe is on campus, I usually stop by for a drink before going to dance practice.
The lady (I think her name is Katherine?) is very nice. If you don't get a receipt for your transaction, then it's free! :)
What I love about them is that they are very environmental friendly. All their products are from recycled material *thumbs up*
I like sweet drinks so I usually get the Passion Fruit Iced Tea & ask them to put a pump of Mango Syrup in it. It's sweet, fruity, and delicious ^__^ V
Besides Coffee & Tea, they also have baked goods, sandwiches, cookies & brownies, sushi, hummus plate...everything but the kitchen sink. Jk, they don't have everything but they have a lot to offer for a campus coffee "cart"Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
