By far our favorite kbbq place we've found in Annandale so far. Definitely want to make a reservation - it's a small place inside but the staff does great work to turn tables over quickly.
We love the bulgogi, spicy pork belly, spicy bulgogi, and the pan fried dumplings. Such high quality meats and banchan. a good beer and sochu selection. We often brings visitors here for an amazing kbbq experience.
We haven't tried their all you can eat or combo selections yet - usually because the ayce doesn't have beef bulgogi, which is unfortunate for us - but we also end up more than enough food that we can then take home for leftovers.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 6 mai 2024
We had a reservation but that meant nothing, still had to wait almost 30 min for our table.
Ambience was a little cold since everything was metal and industrial themed.
The meet quality was pretty good. Banchan could be better and the sauces but overall a good experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 27 avr. 2024
Solid kbbq spot - we got the AYCE option A which was good and the meats we got were tasty. However I wish the portions were a little smaller, there was a lot of meat for just the two of us and I wanted to try more different kinds. Service was fast and efficient. I also liked the chair design to keep items away from the smoky smell.
We came at 5pm on a Friday as a walk in and were seated immediately, but around 6pm the place was packed. It does get quite noisy within the restaurant when full.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer H.Rockville, États-Unis26575413 avr. 2024
Decent food for the price.
Their soup is catered more towards the taste bud of Americans than Koreans. I don't really see much Asians here but!!! It's a great spot for all you can eat.
I enjoy their beef and intestines, even though the intestines are not even close to comparable to (GopChang Story).
Staff and service I received was on spot, and made me happy. They were prompt filling up sides (veggies& sauce).
Even though their soup wasn't that great, hey. For the price and all you can eat, I can't really complain too much. But I will add, I was a little blah about the food taste being catered more towards the American people than keeping it traditional. Oh, and please keep the wasabi sauce? That was a nice little kick surprise. Perfect pairing for meat!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1 févr. 2024Avis mis à jour
About a 1-1.5: We had come here as a group for an early dinner, and our table opted for the A option for the AYCE -
We stuck with the chadol, the marinated chadol, the miso-marinated pork belly, and the veggies.
We had to constantly remind the staff to cook the meats at the requested and appropriate temperature - some of the meats were undercooked, while others were left on the grill too long.
The meats, especially the chadol, had an off-putting taste to them - kind of like a 'gas'-type of an odor and taste, due to the grill - not sure if the gas that was being used was not calibrated properly, but the taste permeated through the meats, making it super unenjoyable and almost inedible.
In terms of the soup and the steamed egg, I wished the restaurant was more mindful in terms of the number of party in the group and actually provide the correct servings of these. In addition, there were no additional bowls or soup spoons to use.
Honestly, it seemed as if we filled up our bellies more with the side dishes, rather than the meats, if we were able to get them. Trying to flag our servers down and getting refills on the banchans, rice, water, and even silverware was such a pain.
Note that there is a time limit to your dining experience, where a great percentage of this time is waiting around for service.
The place does accept reservations.
Sorry, Kogiya - we'll be opting for other KBBQ places.

Hello Hanah,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. I'm sorry your second experience back with us wasn't as enjoyable as the first. There was certainly an error that we made on the check and I hope that this does not happen again to your or any other customer. Your server that day was a fairly new hire and thus we are training for the several points mentioned above and also impressing this on the rest of our team.
I hope your will give us second chance--we want to be that restaurant again that you recommend to friends. =)29 sept. 2015Avis précédentAlright, Kogiya, I can officially say that I'm now back to being a fan of yours once again! While our intention was to stuff our faces with the AYCE options, one of the managers on-duty, Jun Lee, told us about one of their 'Combo' sets. I usually stay away from these, as I feel it restricts you from getting the most bang for your buck. However, Jun insisted that you get a nice variety of options, better/higher quality of meats, and that it would be plenty amount of food (totally skeptical, since we can chow down). He recommended the 'Small,' which is meant to serve 2 people, and included the following: chadolbaegi, bulgogi, ggot deungshim, galbi, and swapped out the spicy bulgogi for the jang samgyupsahl. When the meats came out (which they do all at once), we were still skeptical, as the portions didn't really seem it was meant for 2 people. Boy, were we surprised! The chadolbaegi was nicely-shaved, so it wasn't paper-thin and was actually of good quality; the bulgogi (which I assumed would be my least favorite) was actually marinated well, slightly sweet, and great with the ssamjang; the ggot deungshim (fresh ribeye, not marinated) was of great quality; the galbi (still on the bone) was tender and extremely juicy; and, the jang samgyupsahl had a great amount of meat for a pork belly and not overly fatty. We were both pleasantly surprised! The meats were more than enough and we enjoyed each and every one of them! I just wished the banchans overall were better-tasting and of more of a variety (ie., the potato salad was a little too dry/egg-focused). Service was super friendly, oh-so-sweet, and awesome - I have to give some mad shout-outs to Hee Su and In Ho, both who were super attentive, oh-so-sweet, and made sure that everything was tasty! :D At the end of your meal, you get a cup of iced coffee (which is always my favorite) or orange slices. I highly recommend in checking the 'Combo' sets out, as you can definitely see the better quality, get more of a delicious variety, and less of that stress-/anxiety-ridden situation when doing an AYCE :D

We all opted for the AYCE Option A Lunch Special (no B option available, which was fine, since I didn't care for the intestines and such) - you get unlimited servings of the chadolbaegi, sahmgyupsahl, gochujang sahmgyupsahl, miso sahmgyuphsahl, and/or the dak galbi. We stuck to the chadolbaegi, the gochujang sahmgyupsahl, and the miso sahmgyupsahl - all were pretty solid (the chadolbaegi was a little too fatty); I still am a huge fan of their gochujang sahmgyupsahl - I could eat that all day! :P The meal included banchans and the bowl of steamed rice, and we all left full. Service was excellent, and the manager on site was very awesome, too :D We were well-taken care of and I'm glad I was able to get over the last negative dining experience. I highly recommend in coming here early to beat the lunch/dinner rush :D
+stick to the AYCE A option
+gochujang sahmgyupsahl (love having this extra well-done)
+don't forget to request unlimited ssahmjang
+enjoy the lovely iced coffee drink at the end :D30 janv. 2014Avis précédentWe only waited about 10 minutes and the manager on duty seated us. My husband and I didn't want to do a buffet, so we ordered off of their single platters section - I love their spicy pork belly (definitely wasn't a great cut of meat as it was mostly fat this time) and my husband digs their chadolbaegi; our server was attentive and nice, cooked the meats as we requested, refilled all the sides (like the potato salad), and we even ordered off of the appetizer menu, the ddukboki and the kimchi pancake (both were fine; the ddukboki was sweet and the kimchi pancake was crispy and bland, but dipping it into the soy sauce made it better). When we got the check, I knew that there was a mistake as it was punched in as 2 orders for each of the platters - we told the server, and he was confused; he said that since we were given portions for 2 orders for each of the platters, we had to pay and that the check was accurate. I then asked to speak to the manager on duty, and he even stated that it was the server's fault for punching it in and that it was a mistake. He was going to change it, but then he changed his mind after a few minutes, saying that since we ate all the meat, we had to pay for it. I thought that was unfair, because that argument was invalid - why wouldn't we have eaten all of the meat? We don't really waste food, and of course, if the food is good, we eat it all up; plus, how would we have known if it was a serving size/portion size intended for an individual or for two people?! The manager then stated that if there were any leftovers, it could have been understandable. He then stated that he could change the bill to 2 buffets, but that wouldn't make any sense either, as if we initially wanted to do buffet, we would have ordered more meat and go out of town; but, we came here not wanting to do that option as we only wanted to get the individual platter size (and since AYCE isn't the only option that is offered at this restaurant). The manager then stated he could just take 1 platter off, and I told him that that didn't make any sense either. For him and/or the restaurant to make us pay for something we did not order initially, I thought, was extremely shady. He eventually said that the amount would be taken out of the server's pocket - I felt bad; even though it may have been an honest mistake of the server's, it was still a mistake of his. I also thought that the server, if he were to believe we had wanted 2 of each of the individual platters, he should have recommended us in getting the buffet option as that would have been the 'better deal,' but even this wasn't mentioned. So, I'm not sure where the miscommunication stemmed from. We just left with a bad taste in our mouth as we really had enjoyed dinner and had enjoyed this place for their marinated pork belly and all that several times before; we had always recommended this place to others for their buffet as the service was good and the options of the meat was a variety whenever folks visit us from out-of-town. However, with this whole check fiasco and the constant back and forth with the trying to 'customize'/negotiate the total, it was just something that I was not a fan of. There wasn't even an apology, but more of consoling us on our way out that it was 'okay' and for us to 'not worry about it' (which I was confused and was actually offended, since we didn't do anything wrong!!!). Plus, with all of this going on, we didn't even get our little iced coffee at the end! I had definitely experienced better at this place, and I'm sure to eliminate any type of confusion in the future, ordering from the AYCE buffet menu would be best or to make it extremely and crystal clear of specifying the number of individual platters you want numerous times (probably both in English and in Korean, since there could still be confusion with the latter!). I'm not sure if I would go back after this incident.

Even though with the hour long wait for a table and waiting for the meats to fully cook to devour them, I thought it was worth it. Our server, Soo Hyun (sp?) was such a cute sweetheart (he's the tall one with glasses) - he always refilled our banchans and got our meats in a timely fashion. My favorite was the spicy pork belly (the gochujang samgyupsahl)- yum yum yum. The marinade was definitely more on the sweeter side, but it was savory and delicious, and definitely the best marinade I've had at a restaurant! We also enjoyed the chandolbaegi. You can totally tell that the quality of the meat was awesome. I really liked their dwengjang jjigae and their steamed egg - you can also ask for a bowl of rice if you opt out of the stir-fried rice at the end. They're currently have an AYCE for $18.99, and there's an Option B for the intestines lover, too, for $27.99. I really hope this deal lasts, and I think this place knocks the other Korean BBQ places in the NoVA area out of the ballpark. As any buffets, you can overeat (my belly was about to burst); I am interested in trying out their galbi and their lunch combos, as it seems as if they have great deals. The parking can be quite a pain, as it's a small lot. The bathrooms are well-kept, and I really like how the staff wipe down the tables all spic and span. The hostess is so sweet, and overall, we had a great experience. I hope this place does well, and I would definitely recommend!

Quick and attentive service. Great amount of food for the price. The ambience is not too noisy and waiter was very prompt bringing out good items for us to cook. He made sure to check on us frequently in case we needed anything else. Good meat quality.

I was craving some all-you-can-eat Korean bbq, and this is my go to place for that.
Food - they are great, I personally like option a for the samgyeopsal and the brisket. The middle sauce is my favorite here
Service - good, they are very nice and friendl
Parking - they have a relatively small parking lot outside
Overall, this place is great!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 030 janv. 2022Avis précédentI came to this place starving for food and boy was it good.
Food - Good! It's sort of an All-you-can-eat, you pick an option and you get as much of those meats as you want. I personally chose option A, all of the stuff there is good, the chicken is a little spicy, which it clearly said so on its description.
Service - Great!
Parking - They have a decent size parking lot outside, but this place is extremely busy so parking sometimes needs waiting or a bit of a walk.
Overall, this place is great. - 30 nov. 2023
Almost every time I visit the DMV, this place is a must stop by.
You can chose to grill your own meat or have one of the servers cook your food. We almost always go with having someone cook our food that way we can focus on eating. Very important especially when you're doing AYCE. The all you can eat is a great price point $33-$38 dollars depending on option A or B. AYCE is timed but pick right and you'll be stuffed!!
The banchan here is delicious. And always plentiful. My only gripe is I wish that when you're with a big crowd, that they would give you a bigger serving so you don't have to ask for refills as often.
The meat is always fresh and delicious. The marinated meats are some of the best I've had at any Kbbq place.
The place can get very busy so just know depending on the time of day you may have a wait. They do take reservations online.Helpful 5Thanks 2Love this 5Oh no 1 - 13 sept. 2023
This place is overhyped. There's always a wait, it seems. But the meat packages aren't that great. We came on labor day and they were super understaffed. Everyone was literally running around and while I appreciated the staff themselves... this is just not a good way to run a business. Staff would drop food and literally run away. We didn't get our water until way late..I was sitting by the sunny window and sweated my life away.
The banchan was good - I liked the kimchi and fish cakes. The steamed egg was good. The spicy pork belly was good. The chicken wasn't good - it was pre cooked and came out on a hot plate. Didn't have a lot of flavor, was kind of dry. The vegetable option came with like 2 broccoli, 2 mushrooms, a slice of onion,1 tofu, and a slice of sweet potato - we had to cut everything up and spread it out‐ kind of wished they cut it up....
Overall the place is really small, the options are limited, and I wasn't super impressed.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 2 - Marcella N.Occoquan, États-Unis1763713 mai 2024
I always come to get Korean BBQ from this spot. Out of all of the other spots in Annandale, I love the meat at this one. Definitely worth it! Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time because it gets packed during prime time hours!
