Great local liquor store with all the standards plus a good selection of top shelf liquor. They also have a decent selection of cigars, mixers/soda. The staff has always been friendly and helpful if I have questions

Tucked away behind Zupan's, & just behind the flower shop, Lake Grove is playing Hide 'n Seek with ya.

But despite her bashfulness shes a keeper.

Descent selection of cheapo, mid-range & some top shelf liquid courage. Price wise, it's pretty standard in comparison for the area but they can surprise you with they're Priced-2-Move sales specials.

Also a humidor with a selection of fine cigars and tobacco big enough to keep any trophy wife repulsed & out racking up charges on your credit card, or safely out in the cabana boy's arms.

      Glossary :

      Cheapo -
You remember; the stuff that's more ethanol then ethical. More fire then flavor-- in case of emergency is can be used in replace of gasoline. You used to feed it to girls back before you could legally purchase alcohol. Colloquially known as Panty Dropper.

      Mid-Range -
      Just graduated from Urophagia.
This when you learn start enjoying a a bouquet instead of guzzling hooch to get the shakes like you're Amy Winehouse trying to get clean of Heroin.

      Top Shelf -
This is when you get bougie & start collecting 'Vintages' around your house. Untapped, & not enjoyed, their sole purpose is just so company will notice the accretion of dust on the bottle & ask you about it, cos you know, you're a self-important ass.

Great selection of liquor. I'm getting used to having to seek out liquor in an actual liquor store as opposed to getting them from any store, sorry Oregon, California does this better.

I was referred to this location by its sister store near Washington Square after inquiring about Yamazaki whiskey. I was told that this location is one of the best in the state for whiskey, so I trekked over. After looking for Yamazaki and striking out, I landed on Kavalan Sherry Oak - which should be good when I open it. Their selection is pretty vast.

Note, if you have trouble finding this spot, it's next to the fancy grocery store Zupans.

I really like the look of this liquor store. It's so fancy! The shop is pretty small, but stocks all of the essentials. I noticed a particular local gin that I love was missing. That, or I didn't see it because it's terribly hard to find things in here. Seriously, the sections of booze aren't labeled. You pretty much wander aimlessly until you find whatever you're looking for. I keep coming back because the owners are friendly and the place looks nice.

NOTE: there's a step inside the store leading from the cash registers to the liquor, making it not wheelchair friendly. However, the folks are so friendly that I'm sure they'd grab whatever you need.

This store is always clean, efficient and friendly. The store owner is a sweetheart.... I've had the pleasure of chatting with her a few times. She always makes me smile/laugh. The rest of the staff is always helpful and kind. Anything less than 5 stars is a lie.... or a personal problem....keep up the good work my friends.

Came in here to explore their scotch selection. I got a not so welcoming "hi" at the door. I then stood in front of the scotch bottles reading some information for approximately 15 minutes. Three people that work here have walked past me and not once acknowledged me as a customer, whether I need finding anything or something like that. It's just odd that you're there to give them business and it felt like you don't matter to them. As I paid for the scotch I picked, I asked a question about it which I couldn't find from its description. The answer was simply "I don't know".

Selections are okay (2 stars for that) but if you need assistance from someone who actually is knowledgeable about what they sell, this is not the place to go.

They hold entire quantities of bottles for bars. Duck this place. Go to Barbur or Hillsdale.

The owner should not be working behind the cash register or interfacing with customers. She took what seemed to be a personal call and left the cash wrap unattended. She then asked in a huffy manner if my husband and I were ready as she was leaving the cash wrap again. When we said "yes," her annoyance was apparent. We planned on purchasing a nice bottle of scotch and another liquor (~$100). She asked us both for our IDs. We were out running a few quick errands, so I didn't bother to lug my wallet along. My husband (36) and I (31)--while I feel we've aged well haha--don't look anywhere near 26 (the law states only if you suspect someone of being 26 and under you can card them). She refused to sell it, so we walked away. Suffice to say, she's lost more than $100 today, since we planned on making this our local liquor store. I get they can refuse to sell to whomever they want, but this whole incident seems ridiculous and a stupid way to lose customers.

In addition, both times we've been here, the staff has barely acknowledged my husband and I. They also don't seem to be particularly knowledgeable about anything.

If you want to come here, just make sure you and whomever you're with has their IDs.

Great little liquor store, tucked away like it was a secret. Friendly staff, and a pretty good selection of whiskeys, including a wide range of scotch, and even a decent number of Japanese whiskeys.

They were in the middle of redoing their walk-in humidor, so the cigar selection was limited. Looking forward to stopping in again after they get the humidor fully stocked.
