This place use to be Gooseberries, now its renovated but not much has changed. The menu is still very similar with some slight modification. However its still quite expensive for a suburban cafe. The food is okay, just like the cafe before. Decor is a lot more dark modern contemporary and not as bright and colorful as before. The service and coffee was nice so that's just the two stars for me. But food and how much it costs doesn't make me want to return for more. Serving sizes are a bit on the smaller side. I ordered a pulled beef eggs Benedict and a coffee which costed me $28. I know people of Perth would say that's a typical price, but for that amount of money i did want something more and left a little unsatisfied. Plus any additions you make to your meal has some steep price tags. Like; $4 if i wanted to add wilted spinach to my breakky is a bit much for some greens.

This hip little spot deserves way better reviews than what's been posted so far. I can say that their flat white is impeccable and their ham and cheese toasties are delightful. Excellent for a breakfast grab 'n' go.
There's a cute little side take-out window if you're just popping in to take away a coffee, and both the indoor and outdoor seating areas are great.
There's quite a diverse crowd hanging out here, too, from men in suits to girls with tats. You'll be comfortable coming in, no matter who you are.
There's a full kitchen set-up out back, and I'm not sure how extensive the menu is, but those muffins look just killer. I'll be posting more photos in the coming days, because for certain I'll be coming back numerous times.
I'm hoping my five-star review will kick this place up closer to top rating, because it is well deserved. Kind, cool, casual staff and prices are VERY fair.
Worth checking out if you're in the area!

Been here a few times for coffee and breakfast, which is available all day. I like the coffee and it's price is on par with most other cafes. I've found a number of items on the menu very tasty, the serves are generous and the service usually friendly. I can recommend the Breakfast bruschetta, the Bacon Benedict or the Canadian pancakes. There are also a selection of cakes and pastries that look tempting.

This was the first time I've been here but doubt I'll be back, unfortunately, as it's got the potential to be a favorite!
My first gripe has to be the price....
I ordered the breakfast bruschetta which wasn't bad, the poached eggs were done nicely but it had the equivalent of 2 WHOLE tomatoes on it (not Roma's by the way, those bloody big ones) .... I guess if you like tomatoes A LOT then this may be a great meal for you but I expected proportionally to have more smashed avocado on there as the menu advised. At $22 those tomatoes must be earning their place on the plate. I ordered with a side of bacon ($8?!) how can you justify 8 bucks for a side of bacon.......
Note that other sides will cost you $5 for avocado, $6.50 for a sausage etc etc
I don't mind paying extra for food when the quality is there, this place must be trying to cover some pretty high rents to justify their prices.... easy fix though- chat to your chefs and just make sure they are good!!!
Coffee was cold and pretty average! Can get a better coffee from the van down at Yokine Reserve...
      That is all.
