Outstanding!! We don't have one in the Charleston area so this is our new spot when we take trips that require going up 17. I learned here that hibachi is soy and lemon on white meat chicken and teriyaki is dark meat chicken. Thought I would share!!
Definitely recommend if doing to go that you order before. Either way they move people pretty fast. I recommend the Teriyaki Chicken and shrimp dinner!! Check it outHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 29 mai 2020
There is nothing junior about Miyabi Jr Express. Tried it for dinner and it packed a big punch. Carryout was ready start to finish in 15 minutes. Friendly service at pickup and restaurant was clean and prepared for safe distancing visitors. We started w 4 spring rolls and fried chicken dumplings. Both fresh and packed with flavor. They gave us a sweet sauce w a little spice and their yumyum sauce. Perfect combo. Entrees we were 4 for 4 on the success scale. Filet and shrimp hibachi, yakisoba noodles w teriyaki chicken, chicken hibachi and steak hibachi. Great portions and the steak was cooked to order. Recommend sticking to medium on the filet or steak entrees even if you are a medium rare fan. Yakisoba noodles w chicken simple but worth a try.
Overall i would suggest ordering an appetizer of dumplings or spring rolls then split the filet and shrimp hibachi. You will not leave the plate hungry. Thanks Miyabi.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Tina B.Owings, États-Unis0543813 juill. 2021
This is the kind of place that you DO NOT go to, if you know good sushi. I can't speak for anything else on the menu. I ordered the spicy tuna roll, the tempura roll and some spring rolls. The only reason I ate it was because it cost me $17 and I was starving. I gave them two stars because the young man working the counter, Jose, was super nice. I'm sorry, but it was just gross sushi.

Great value, quick service.
It's more of a fast food type of restaurant but everything tastes good...veggies were fresh. You fix your own "white sauce", which I likeHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mia W.Goldston, États-Unis051 juill. 2021
My family came here and all of the food was delicious! Considering it is an "express" restaurant, we thought the food may be more similar to fast food. While we received our food very quickly, it definitely tasted better than fast food! I ordered the shrimp yakisoba and it was great! I also ordered a side of sushi and again, considering it's not an upscale sushi place, the sushi was still very good! Simple but good! I appreciated that they put wasabi in packets so it doesn't touch your sushi. Sauces are also included in your meal so no extra fee for them! They also were very accommodating for my mom's food allergy and cooked her food separately!

A nice little place in a strip mall. Plenty of seating if you want to eat in. You order at the counter then sit and they bring it out. There's a bench to sit on to wait for to go. Coke products. Wanted Filet and shrimp but they don't do two meats in one bowl. Went with a Jr size filet mignon bowl. Comes with mushrooms. Ordered the filet med well and it came out perfect! Mushrooms were freshly grilled. Rice wasn't dried out. To go order comes with two of the 'yum yum' sauces. Jr size plenty enough for one- could easily share. Will definitely be back

We visit here every time we're in SC -which is about once or twice a month. Great fresh food, always hot, unless it's sushi! Always delicious!
I usually get either the filet hibachi bowl or the chicken hibachi bowl. My 10 year old daughter loves a side order of steak. She's not a rice fan. I LOVE their rice. So good! My husband either gets chicken hibachi or sushi. Today he had dumplings and a salad. Never had anything that wasn't delicious here.
The service is always friendly and fast. Great Sunday post church place to go for lunch.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 30 avr. 2018
I always wonder why the Charleston area doesn't have more places like this. Most of our hibachi places are a full dinner experience. Sometimes you just want some chicken with fried rice and veggies for lunch. There are so many of these quick hibachi places in Myrtle. Since I left it looks like Jimmy'z has turned into its own empire and there seems to be one off companies of their own in every plaza. While regular Miyabi is great for the whole hibachi experience, the Jr Express is a simple walk up counter for a quick meal or to go. Grab a menu on your way in. I usually go with chicken and/or shrimp with rice and veggies. You order at the counter and then grab your drink, sauces, and a seat. I love that they have little sauce trays so you're not trying to balance those little cups in the middle of your hand as you scooby-doo-walk to the table. The best is mixing the white sauce with hot sauce plus they also have the hot teriyaki sauce too. If you're looking to skip the volcano made of onion, stop here for a quick and inexpensive meal.

I used to love this restaurant, under the Miyabi leadership. Since it has changed ownership the prices have gone up, food quality and flavor have gone down. I would have never been served grisly and fatty filet with the previous management. I passed it off the fist time as a fluke but after both my husband and I experienced it tonight... I think it will likely be the norm. Not sure if I will be back.

This is such a great concept! We were craving hibachi for lunch and it seems that a lot of the hibachi are only open at dinner so this was a wonderful option. You go in, look at a menu, order your food, then they give you a number and you grab your drinks and sauces while they hibachi your food right there behind the counter. It was plentiful and delish and affordable too!!
Wish we had one up at home!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
