Great ambiance, Great food, and friendly service! Exactly what I was craving!!! The chicken katsu was delicious and so was their chicken teriyaki!

I've been coming to this spot for over a decade! They were around even before the movie! =) Fast forward present day- I wanted my niece to try Hawaiian BBQ. She's been to Hawaii but now that she is older and her palate has changed, I knew this was the spot to take her for our monthly get together!
Hawaiian BBQ always has a place in my heart! Growing up in Hawaii the BBQ was a staple, so simple; BBQ, rice, mac salad and a can of Hawaiian Sun!
Got the katsu, short rib, BBQ and seafood combos! Of course, she wanted musubi so we got that and it came with 2 for the order, with the drink total came to $95! But dang, the rice to meat ratio was sad ?? rice is cheap... why not load up? Maybe my expectations are too high? LOL but its rice....cant shake the portion out of my head also, the mac salad can use a upgrade- missing star.

Staff is short with you and rude. Unfriendly. Overpriced. Food was luke warm and stale.
There's odd signs everywhere saying to bring plates back.
Horrible quality food. Rice was even cold.

Giant Jesus mural on the wall was a bit jarring, but you do you.

I used to frequent Moana when I worked in Burbank, and recently went back for the first time in a while. It's still good! It's a step above Hawaiian BBQ chains like L&L while still remaining casual and reasonably priced. Their plate portions are usually large enough that I have enough leftovers for another meal. I generally ask for additional rice instead of macaroni. I'd put the beef dishes slightly above the chicken ones, but both are pretty good.

I suppose I should comment on the religious motif and worship music they play. It is a bit overkill with the prayers on the walls. However, for anyone concerned, I will say that as a transgender person, I have still always felt welcome in here and greeted in a friendly manner by the staff. I wouldn't worry about being judged here.

I love hole-in-the-wall Hawaiian food places. This is the worst one I've ever been to.

A constantly-changing video menu with no prices. The reason why is probably because a plate of katsu costs nearly $20. Also was urged to tip twice but they don't even clear the tables. There's signs everywhere saying to bring plates back.

Terrible quality chicken. Stale cabbage. It's a shame when the best thing on your plate is the white rice.

HUGE Jesus mural TLC on all the TVs, soft rock on the radio. It's a soccer mom's paradise and my personal hell.

This place has got a be money laundering pit or something.

Pleasantly surprised by the food at this place! Not a huge fan of Hawaiian bbq but decided to try this spot while in the area. The seafood combo comes with fried shrimp and fish, either bbq chicken or katsu, 2 scoops rice and 1 scoop Mac salad and cabbage. It's a HUGE serving, plenty for 2-3 people.

Service was good, ordered to-go and it was ready on time as promised. It was super busy when we arrived, family friendly and convenient central location.

Huge huge portions for a good price (can be equivalent to 2 meals). Overall, quality of food is okay. Super casual ambience on the corner of a block in downtown Burbank.

Shoulda called it cabbage with a side of unsalted kalua pig mixed in.

Buggah was like 80% cabbage! So junk!
