Muji is one of my favorite stores in NYC. This location is conveniently located in mid town. This is one of their larger stores where you'll find categories from travel suitcase to stationary. The staffs are friendly as well.

I love this store! As a 5ft tall person the clothes are perfect. No they aren't cheap but the clothing quality isn't either. I love that they carry a lot of basics so it's easy to put an outfit together. They also have very affordable stationery supplies. If you're thinking of stopping by I highly recommend grabbing a basket.

Awesome store to get a variety of home goods and clothes. It's all modern and minimalistic.
They have a variety of storage containers, kitchen supplies, and even things like clothes, backpacks, and suitcases.
Come here for the vibe - it's so soothing with their aromatic machines pumping subtle yet delightful scents.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tom G.Rutherford, États-Unis2801157264014 mai 2022
I learned about Muji when I needed some stationary and a friend recommended that try the NY Times building store. So I did and came to like the place and the simple notebooks and pens they had, but it was small so the selections were limited.
The Muji store on 5th Avenue across the street from the main NY Public Library is much bigger and has a bigger selection
Muji has a wide variety of items in simple clean Japanese aesthetic designs and in simple functionality. Some may say it has an Asian minimalist look to it. From their basic colors to their lightweight cardigans, smock dresses to the geometric soap dispensers, toothbrush holders, bags, bedroom, kitchenware, small containers, and other decoration items.
The only bummer is the prices are high on simple items like a small clear plastic travel bottle can be two or three times higher than on Amazon.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 31 déc. 2021
This place is like Uniqlo and daisy had a baby. I personally think it's overpriced for what you get. When I went, they were out of many things. I saw a binder but then the paper that fits it, they didn't have any of. They had lead refills but no lead pencils. The quality is questionable too. They look nice and have a nice novelty. But It's not something I will continue wanting.
Service was good. Even the employee told us not to get the pens there.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jian L.Brooklyn, États-Unis0113 juill. 2023
Fantastic place. Smaller store compared to others but the staff named John was extremely helpful.
Would recommend visiting if you're touring new York and/or regularly use the port authority buses as it's right across the street.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 18 févr. 2019
Torn. Because they can have really good customer service.... didn't realize they had a dressing room, so I bought a shirt and prayed that it would fit. As I paid for it, I spotted the dressing room around the corner and asked if I could try on the shirt I just bought.
And dang, it just didn't sit right. I hung my head and walked the 7 steps back to the cash register to return the shirt I literally bought 5 minutes prior. And they were so nice about it! They refunded it immediately.
But... So here's the thing, they do have some nice clothes here, but they tend to run quite small. Women's sizes only go up to size L on many items, if not all.
I do love their stationary products though, and have purchased some of their notebooks as a less expensive alternative to Moleskine.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Rachel C.New York, États-Unis120228 nov. 2018
They double the regular Muji price here. Got a mini size pen. On its original tag it says with tax it's 420 Japanese yen (which =$3.7, using today's exchange rate). But the store charges $7.08.
The beauty of Muji is NOT selling plastics with high price tags; instead, Muji (in Japan) is great because it sells affordable daily stuff with simple aesthetic design. Seriously, even seven-eleven in Japan sells Muji stuff. So sad that they finally got one in NY but became totally pretentious.
I give it two stars instead of one simply because the quality of the merchandise is not below average Muji quality.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
