I'm updating my review and I can't believe it took me so long! This is an excellent ob/gyn group. I had some medical issues during my pregnancy and Dr. Kong got me tested immediately. She pretty much saved my baby from being stillborn! I also had to come in multiple times and saw a few different Drs because of my medical issues. Each one was great. I've been seeing Dr. Kong for about 6 years now and she's amazing. I am always able to get an appointment and I have never seen an NP there. The offices aren't overcrowded either which is nice.
Dr Kong also delivered my baby. She made it a point to be there for the birth because I had some infertility issues as well so this was (in her words) "a very special baby." I found out I was pregnant and needed to be squeezed in at the last minute because of some heavy bleeding. I called the second they opened on Monday morning and they were able to get me in by 11:30. The nurse even called me back to double check that the scheduling department took care of me.
I saw Dr. Kong and she was very kind (so was her nurse). She explained everything that was happening to me and where we would go from here. The entire staff was very kind and sensitive to my condition.
The office is also very clean, modern and comfortable. It is right next to the hospital so if you are having an emergency you are right there. I absolutely recommend this office and I am happy that I finally found an OB/GYN that I like after living in the OC for 12 years. - Anne K.Irvine, États-Unis1258 déc. 2023
This place is terrible. Everything about it is terrible. The front desk staff are jerks and the sonographers as well. One sonographer literally made me cry by her rudeness (while I am 36 weeks pregnant). The front staff asked me to confirm my insurance and I can't be seen unless they call because they forgot to call. Like what does that have to do with me? I don't understand. One of the midwives told me not to start a new career when I was 5/6 months pregnant. Why that is any of her business is beyond comprehension. I literally hate this place and am stuck going here for my prenatal care since the other midwife group at Saddleback closed. I am very upset and do not recommend. I'm so happy for those that got lucky and had great experiences but I have not had great experiences. I will say, a majority of the midwives are nice but some are not and the staff is terrible.
Lastly, good luck getting in contact with someone. Their phone system is terrible, office locations are terrible, just everything sucks.

This is my second review for this office - this one is for the Irvine location
. I am still seeing my favorite Dr Mendelson for my yearly check up and having my annual Mamo here - this location is so beautiful l like a hotel
Lobby and the girls that work the front are so friendly. I just adore the entire office group. Woman please get your annual mamo and yearly check up

I see Dr Mendelson myself as does my family. My niece goes to the group and I go with her for Ultra Sounds, Blood Work, I went and had my first 3D mamo there last Friday and was in and out in 20 mins. The woman who all helped me were wonderful. I had to get my last two year films transferred over from my old place that no longer does mamo's and I was helped by the staff that made it easy for me . The dear lady who did my Mamo was so sweet and made me feel comfortable as we all know these are stressful and not comfortable but very important. After I was done she told me to go do something special for myself as I deserved it . Please woman go and get your mamo's every year as it can save your life ! Cancer knows no age ! It doesn't discriminate.

Great medical care. I guess that's what is most important.
But every aspect of the management of this practice is subpar.
Getting your medical records transferred - Very onerous process.
Trying to make an appointment - Good luck getting the OB Coordinator on the phone. They are never sitting at their desk. Voicemail tag!
Talking to the front desk receptionist - every time I've called them, the woman picking up the phone cut me off, sounded like she would rather be anywhere else, and then hung up on me without even saying goodbye. She is just as rude in person.

Wow!!!! The message says they'll call you back and 3 days later I remember they never did. You call scheduling a woman with all the attitude she can muster answers and will not allow to explain will drown you out and show no compassion like she is working for IRS or she's a debt collector. And when you run out of patience she'll hang up on you. She does not deserve to be in health care dealing with patients she mentioned she's in the Irvine office did not catch the name. Appalling. I understand people might come from all backgrounds but it is the company's job to train people about how to talk to people on the phone. She was almost looking for a reason to hang up on me.

Switched doctor because the previous one kept me waiting at every single appointment. Getting through by phone is a NIGHTMARE! All in all the customer service is poor. Doctors & nursing staff seem nice and caring but are unfortunately incapable of seeing people on time.

Upon arriving to the front desk for my appt, I was turned away and told I needed to reschedule. Here is the story- I was running late to my appointment for circumstances outside of my control (blocked in my driveway by an abandoned moving truck). I called immediately to let my doctor know that I would be a few minutes late. The challenge here...there is no direct line, so I was put on hold for 10+ minutes and never actually got ahold of a person. To help speed up the check-in process, I completed all online paperwork.
Upon arriving at the office for my appointment, I apologized for being a 10min late and let them know that I tried to call as a courtesy. The front desk asked Doc and then told me I needed to leave and reschedule. You will never receive a call back. They just don't return calls. Once you set an appointment they will later send you a cancellation and request to call them to arrange another appointment. I once was a patient here with a great doctor who retired. Now they could care less about serving the needs of women seeking gyn care.

My new doctor moved so I've tried to schedule an appointment with OCWMG calling daily, leave call back, via web portal request with no call back or response. It's simply poorly managed which is unfortunate because there are very good doctors. My update of this is there were call backs this week with a new doctor appointment scheduled since they are extremely booked.

This review is strictly for the ultrasound office in Laguna and not indicative of the physicians attached to this group. Dr. Dickerson has been nothing but phenomenal to my wife and myself and I would recommend her expertise to anyone looking for a fantastic physician.
Today was the first day I've taken off to go to my wife's ultrasound appointment with our due date being just about 2 months out. 4 hours before the appointment, we get a phone call that the ultrasound is being cancelled due to a technician calling in sick. I asked what the solution was, and they let me know they'd call back to reschedule. I let them know this is unacceptable and we will be coming in, and to figure out a solution, or pay a tech for an additional 15 minutes to do our ultrasound.
The tone, solution, and customer service aspect of this was so subpar, I got extremely irritated. After a back and forth of asking who I can speak with, the staff gave nothing but attitude and basically told me it is what it is. Finally they call an hour later telling us they can get us in. We show up to the appointment.
When we get to the appointment, someone from the office asks to speak to me about the behavior over the phone as if I'm going to the principals office. Long story short, she threatened to not service my wife and first born child and then proceeded to tell me that this is a "routine" ultrasound acting as if it's not a big deal when we're nearing our due date.
This is my first born daughter, she is due in 2 months. I know they see patients all day, but the fact they think this is no big deal is ridiculous to me.

While the providers I've seen are great, the management, appointment scheduling, phone contact, is so horrific that I changed to a different office. It's nearly impossible to get all your appointments done the same day/office. Tustin has no ability to do blood draws which makes it useless for pregnancy. You can't contact anyone by phone. Which can cause a five minute conversation to turn into a full day of portal back and forth. For anyone with a normal job this office would be impossible to use as every appointment needs half a day due to having to wait twice (once for provider once for phlebotomy they are different offices) and both running late. They obviously just take on way too many patients and need to reduce their load.
