Love this place but it's weird when there is an inverse correlation between size and cost. Price keeps going up, size keeps going down. I mean, how much is a piece of black bread lol? Even the illusion of size is gone lol. (That's not what she said) Also, they usually have very few items available and they explain that's because they don't have enough traffic...well, more items, good prices, more customers, more profit, and eventually expansion.
Anyway--very nice people. Great location. How about higher price and more food? I stopped going here regularly when the great smoked salmon deal became just a snack that left me hungry. Not sure why they aren't looking for bigger all day business. Anyway, new owners. Wish them success!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 014 janv. 2024Avis précédentLove this spot but a few suggestions:
1. Stop decreasing the smoked salmon size and increasing the price. Also--offer a larger option.
Most of the time of the bread is a little too hard from the fridge but the overall effect is still great.
2. Offer a baguette / cheese + baguette Turkey option (to go would be good)
3. Dump the automatic tip thing on the processing screen. It's annoying and presumptuous.
Girl who works here is super nice and friendly. Cute spot to grab a coffee and think about what you're going to do with the day. - 20 févr. 2024
Yes, yes, yes! Why go anywhere else. Fabulous food, bread, Scandinavian cuisine and great service. I visit whenever I am in town. Get the rice patties if you can. A cultural favorite. Bakery is great too!

I had company in town and wanted to treat them to some local baked goods one morning. I had read about the cinnamon-sugar-cardamom donuts they have here but they usually sell out early in the morning. I stopped by and found 2 left, which I promptly purchased. I picked out some other items as well. There was a tray of assorted goods sitting on top of the display case and when I asked what they were, the kind employee told me that they were day old items and half off. I promptly picked out a couple of things from this tray, including a loaf of what turned out to be sweet bread, braided with almonds on top and raisins inside.
Found it a bit frustrating not to have a sign about the day-old items. I can't recall if signage was anywhere else but that is pretty normal for bakeries.
The donuts were definitely tasty and a bit different, but it wasn't my favorite cardamom flavor combo. While the cinnamon sugar provided a nice crunch to the donut, it didn't seem to be very donut-like besides the shape. Very heavy tasting to me and not my cup of tea, but definitely different and worth a try.
The other items I purchased were beautiful and made a lovely bakery gift box. Service was fast and simple.Helpful 14Thanks 1Love this 11Oh no 08 déc. 2018Avis précédentThis tiny little bakery and cafe is easy to find, just off Ocean in the strip between Dixie and the Intracoastal. There are a couple of tables inside and outside, however, the space is very, very cozy!
A small case of treats delights the eye, a small basket of day-old items sits on the counter at 50% off, and homemade breads wave hello from a shelf behind the counter. The treats included 2 kinds of cookies and muffins, croissants, chocolate croissant and traditional pastries with sugar sprinkled on top and different types of fruit filling.
I ordered a dark rye bread round (so delicious), a cinnamon twist treat (crispy top, lovely soft thing with layers inside, but with a fragrancy that wasn't for me), a chocolate chip cookie (soft, yummy with hunks of chocolate in it), and a blueberry muffin (crispy on top, moist and fruitful on the bottom.
Extra points for all items being wrapped in wax paper and paper bags... no plastic! Thanks, Palm Beach Bakery & Cafe! - AL S.Lake Worth, États-Unis26259613 févr. 2024
Love this spot. On the corner right across from Oceana Kitchen. Or if you're less familiar then just last Walgreens on right. Small place. Great history and family operated. The service is always quick and happy.
The food is so fresh. The bakery items are 50 percent off if they were not sold the day before.
No pics as of now.
Small seating tables outside .

This place is small but mighty!! Stopped in here in a whim and glad I did. It did not disappoint. The service, the food and the coffee were AMAZING! The sweetest woman was behind the counter taking orders and getting everything together. Will definitely be back to try some more of what they have to offer. There are so many things to choose from. The coffee is some of the best I've had recently. The meat pie is delicious, the smoked salmon sandwich hit the spot and the raspberry & cheese danish was an absolute treat!!

pettymys taattu (Finnish: DISAPPOINTMENT GUARANTEED)
I can't speak to the quality of the desserts because our mail order of rice pies was never shipped. Despite explaining to Michael that these were a very special birthday gift that needed to arrive timely & paying for expedited shipping, not only were they not shipped, none of my calls were returned, the woman who answers the phone claimed he wasn't there while I could hear her speaking with him and then hung up. What a horrible way to do business. I understand missing the order, but I don't understand avoiding the situation and not responding.

New owner. Same amazing hidden gem bakery!
Scandinavian pastries, desserts, amazing breads and soups await you. The owner's Russian cuisine shines in a killer borscht.
European style espresso drinks are a welcome change from all of the burnt hipster roast that is the current barista fad at the hipper-than-thou joints.
Take out is great. They have two small indoor tables, and four to six outdoor tables, for dine in.
Parking is street. It's usually pretty plentful on weekdays; a bit tighter on weekends.

Thank you Brian, we truly appreciate the love and support. We are still the same owners for the last 24 years. Our mother has come in to help us. Thank you again and see you soon! :)
7 déc. 2015Avis précédentHidden Gem Alert, Yelpers: Located off the main drag of Ocean Ave east of Dixie this charming SMALL bakery and cafe is great for warm winter days where the weather lets you take advantage of the outdoor seating. The last time I had a cardamom roll this good was in Stockholm. Frequented by a ton of older Scandinavians who have found it, if the taste and the meticulous construction of the baked goods didn't convince you, their loyal following might. It is small, so exercise a bit of patience on a weekend day. If you're staying at one of Manalapan's tony hotels, take the short drive up this way. The pastry and coffee are much better!

My new breakfast place! The pastries are just amazing!! I recommend the strudels and the rose buns but everything else is yummy. I also go there because the lady who works in the morning is soooooo nice! Feels good to not be treated like another corporate customer. I just moved in the neighborhood and I prefer to promote local business. Seems like the owner is Finnish so they have specialties from Finland!
Highly recommend this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Information sur le responsable du commerce
