Wow! Really nicely decorated and excellent service. Each table had a mini Christmas tree or a little decorated box. The whole place looks very festive and I loved it!
Came here for a Friday morning brunch. Their brunch menu has a lot of options. I got the Parlay breakfast. This came with tater tots, monterey jack and cheddar melted on top of 2 poached eggs. This is served in a little metal plate to keep it warm. You can get the Hollandaise sauce on top or on the side. I recommend putting it on the side because my tater tots got very mushy because of this. I really enjoyed my breakfast. I love how much cheese was on it. My friend got the morning flatbread. This had bacon, eggs, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese. It looked really good. Service was perfect. Our waitress checked up on us every few minutes and would take away cups and plates right after we were done.
Their restroom was very clean. I definitely want to come back here to try their wings!Helpful 30Thanks 0Love this 29Oh no 0 - 25 mars 2018
I left feeling unimpressed after brunch.
Our reservation was for 10, and we were sat at a table for 9. It was very squished together. We were given an extra chair, but it didn't help that much.
I went with simple for bunch. I didn't want anything too heavy like pancakes, waffles or French toast. I went with "eggs your way." It was two eggs any style with choice of bacon and fingerling potatoes. The eggs were super simple. I ordered them scrambled. They weren't fluffy...or even scrambled. It was prepared more like an omelette...just without any omelette ingredients. A little disappointing. The bacon was nice and crispy. The fingerling potatoes were undercooked and under seasoned. A very big disappoint to a very simple dish.
Two friends of mine ordered s'mores waffles. Both of their dishes was missing the graham crackers. They both stated that the marshmallows were cold. They could have at least warmed them up or toasted them. One of my friends had chocolate stuffed waffles, and my other friend did not have chocolate stuffed waffles...so inconsistent.
Other things that were ordered during brunch were:
- burgers, cinnamon roll pancakes, chicken and waffles, Rice Krispie French toast, monte cristo sandwich and create your own omelette.
It was very loud during brunch so it was hard to communicate with everyone in my party.
Service was okay. Our server did her best to get to all of us to make sure all our food was out at the same time and if we needed anything to drink.Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 19 août 2018Avis mis à jour
Something went wrong. While I've frequented Parlay's on numerous occasions, I was very dissatisfied with the food and service. When we arrived for our reservation(on time) we waited almost 15 minutes to be seated. We were told there was a large party and they were backed up. Ok. When we were seated, we were given complimentary mimosas which discouraged my daughter's from ordering the bottomless mimosas as they were very dissatisfied with the watered down taste. Ok.
Our orders were taken promptly. We ordered 2 steak and eggs and a Parlay Burger (burger was ok) . The first order of steaks were overcooked and tasteless. The eggs were not prepared as ordered. We ordered a side of bacon that tasted as though it was nuked! Ok. My eldest daughter resolved to eating her meal as she at this point had little faith that anything would go right (her first and last visit... as she stated) I on the other hand returned my meal. They admit to putting our order in wrong and apologized profusely. Ok. In the end I received a dish which was "acceptable". The meal simply lacked for flavor. I was hungry at that point, so I ate my meal, paid and left a very unsatisfied customer. What's going in Parlay, do you want to parlay about it?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 012 août 2017Avis précédentI had brunch at this restaurant and was very satisfied with the food, service and decor. Our server , Vincent was attentive, professional and very pleasant. We made reservations at the suggestion of a yelp reviewer and thank goodness for that. The place was packed. The brunch menu offered a variety of items to satisfy everyone's pallets. We ordered the following and our rate on a 1 to 5 scale:
Belgian waffles...5(fluffy, thick and buttery)
Cowboy burger...5 (thick juicy prime grade beef) the sauce is absolutely delicious!) Sweet potato fries were fresh and crispy)
Steak and eggs...5( steak was tender well seasoned and cooked to perfection)
Cinnamon Roll pancakes...5(fluffy buttery pancakes was so delicious that to add syrup would ruin it).
We will be returning to Parlay's for brunch again.
Only con the dimly lit bathroom. It is entirely too dark in there! - 1249129844759 oct. 2017
I bookmarked Parlay and had it on my list of places to try for sometime now. I never imagined the underwhelming Brunch experience I'd have. A close friend visited previously for brunch and raved about the Nutella stuffed French toast. She invited me to dine with her party of 15 for Sunday Brunch.
We waited about an hour to be seated. All guests must be present in order to be seated and served. I believe we could've enjoyed the unlimited mimosas while we awaited the 4 guests. We were seated at a wooden picnic table. My back and bottom hurt the entire meal. This ruined the experience for me. I didn't expect plush seating knowing this is a Gastropub. There were several patrons enjoying the football game and shouting over the crowds and music. The guests at my table were yelling to communicate. This gave the place the feel of a Junior High School lunch room.
I studied the menu and decided on the Chicken and Waffle. Nothing else appeared appetizing. There are pancake and waffle entrees prices at $16-17 with no side order. Each entree comes with a complimentary mimosa and you may order unlimited mimosas for $15. A carafe is delivered to your table to enjoy. My food arrived and I was disappointed. The seasoning was flavorful.
The cost effectiveness factor here was a issue for me. The Entree prices did not amount to the quality of the food for me. $16 for the chicken and waffle just wasn't worth it. The chicken strips were heavily breaded and skimpy. More bread than chicken. My waffle arrived cold and hard. I could not use the butter knife to cut it. Perhaps a steak knife would've helped. I did not want to be the bougie asshole at the table of 15 guests returning food.
All in all, The service here was great. The staff was wonderful and served the table rather quickly. I would say if you're in the neighborhood and want to chug back a few beers, this might be a stop if Mesita and the other local options are crowded.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 21 mai 2018

Love coming to Parlay on Thursday nights! Half off apps and beers on tap! What else could one want?!
Ordered the Brussels sprouts and spinach & artichoke dip with 2 beers.
It was a little colder than I expected that night but the air was turned off after I asked. Great customer service! I will be back.
If you're in the area, check them out!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 191441127526 août 2017
I've been to Parlay a few times, mostly just for drinks to watch the games. It's a decent spot for a few bites, many beers, watching one or more of the multiple tv's, with a bunch of buddies.
I've heard their brunch is really good, but I haven't had the chance.
On this occasion, party of 2, dinner and a few drinks.
The first beer I tried was a pint of Southern Tier and I liked it. Similar to a Summer Shandy but less sweet and a little bit of a hoppy aftertaste
Next I decided on a flight (4 samples, 15$)
I believe the one I liked best was Honey ale. The BlackBerry beer was very sweet as was the Peachy one.
On my previous visits I've had the Parlay wheat and it's a good one.
Make sure you read the ounces of each beer for what you're paying. They aren't all 16oz
The bacon slab app looked a bit wan on the plate. Needs a garnish or something more than just a shmear of mustard
The chicken on the chicken and waffles should be covered in more batter, crunchier, and more flavorful. (Opinion)
The Blue burger had a thick slice of green apple on it which was described to me as "interesting"
However every bite was gobbled up so I'm confident it was a positive description.
Parlay is worth checking out, even if it's just for a beer.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Phylis I.New Haven, États-Unis8112811529 sept. 2019
My friend and I stopped here after we went to Jones Beach. I asked the hostess if I could get some quarters and some server came by and told us they didn't have quarters even though I told them we were eating. Obviously, they were lying.
After we paid the meter, the woman who seated us was clueless about a simple question on the menu. She said the server would be over soon. Under the bottomless brunch, there's a note saying the entire table must enjoy and it's $15 per person. Our server DID very polietely accommodate us, but Parlay should consider removing this from the menu.
My friend got the bottomless brunch and I got two beers, which came out to a dollar more. Forcing customers to miss out on what they want because of some moneymaking method (especially when some people don't drink or are designated drivers) is a poor business practice.
Anyway, the owner or manager did come by to check on us. The food came out quickly and was delicious. There are a lot of great options on the menu and it was hard to choose. They've got great food, drinks, and even though they had a ton of TVs, it was atmosphere.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Information sur le responsable du commerce

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We do always keep change on hand for anyone that needs change for the meters, but unfortunately there are times we do run out. The hostess may not be as knowledgable about the menu as the server, which is why she may have redirected the question to the server. This is a great opportunity for us to continue our training efforts with our staff so everyone is clear on the menu. We appreciate your comments and will use them to continue to do better. Thank you for giving us a try!

We had a retirement brunch here for two of our friends on a Saturday morning when they first opened. We had two long picnic tables filled with women. They did not rush us as we each arrived a minute here a minute there. It seemed as though we only had one waiter to the 30 of us there may have been two. After about an hour and 20 minutes and paying the meter a second time they finally took our orders. When the food finally arrived they were about five of us that never received our meals. This was brunch the meals consisted of an omelette or avocado toast to give examples. The food finally came as everyone else was finishing. This was saddening since it was our retirees who are being honored today that were the last to receive their meals. After speaking to one of the waitresses who was super friendly and helpful we were able to speak to the manager. I must say I have to give him credit for he came over with a smile on his face and took care of business right away. Approaching 30 women could be a bit scary. LOL
I'm sure you can see my concern, we had made these plans weeks in advance. It was not the waiters fault. But I do think that management should've had more people on our tables considering we were a party of 30. He was more than gracious and even took our photos at the end of our brunch. We will be back and we appreciate when people acknowledge that something has gone wrong but do everything in their power to fix itHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Information sur le responsable du commerce

I enjoyed my time very much our waitress was very attentive we got the bottomless mimosas and never once did we have to ask for refills she just did it independently. We did make a reservation right for opening it was empty when we got there and started filling up as we left. Parking is tight out there but on Saturday there is a resident lot that is open to the public so we parked there no issues. We had the Nutella stuffed fresh toast it was really good now when they say stuffed they really just mean spread between two toast but either way it was good they were not cheap on the Nutella !! Then we each had a salty dish I had the chicken sandwich and my friend had the eggs Benedict both were great I was stuffed tater tots they rocked !!!
They do have a checkin coupon just not one I used during this particular visit I will totally go again even if it's picking something up to go.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
