Mr. Bento

Ordered a Mackerel Bento and Kalbi Bento with two fountain drinks. It came out to almost $50


Pros:
-Nice place to eat a casual lunch.
-Staff was very friendly and helpful.
-Bento boxes are nicely prepared and can be filling (depending on your appetite).
-Menu items are displayed as written vertical tiles at the checkout counter.

Cons:
Menu prices are not obviously displayed.

Mr. Bento always has really good portions and we really like their chicken salad. The salad has some shredded apples seeds lots of greens and cucumbers. The yellow sauce is really good but the amount they normally give isn't quite enough so we asked for an extra side.

My wife got the chicken salad. I was very good and I got the same salad but with spicy pork instead. The spicy pork tasted really good with the salad, but it was a lot more than pork and most of it was onions and other types of veggies, which she took away from the amount of meat that you get.

I found this location on Yelp and made the trek here. I went with the kalbi bento box. It had 6 pieces of kalbi (2 short ribs cut into 3), 2 shrimp tempura, 2 gyoza, Korean purple rice, and salad. My only complaint was the kalbi. It fell off the bone to easily and the texture of the meat did not seem right. I think the meat might have been old.

This one is a real bento place. I ordered the Salmon. Phenomenal! Comes with a cucumber salad, their signature salad with orange citrus dressing, 2 shrimp, 2 potstickers, purple rice and your protein. (Teriyaki Salmon.) All expertly prepared. I've had chicken, spicy chicken and spicy pork too. All great.

My wife had chicken yakisoba. Huge and super tasty. Tender flavorful chicken too!

Great gem of a place in Hillsboro.

Overpriced! The difference between a bento and a bowl is less salad and 3 or 4 potstickers, but the price difference is $8??? $21.99 for the tofu bento, and $13.99 for a tofu bowl.......$8 extra for 4 potstickers and less salad? Rip off.
Food quality/flavor was pretty good.

Only been once. We got the bento teriyaki chicken and salmon salad. The meat was very good, the salad was way over dressed with not at all fresh dressing, in fact everything in the massive salad wasn't fresh so we didn't eat it, and the cucumbers in the bento weren't fresh either and the potstickers just tasted like frozen ones. The pictures looked good, but we were disappointed. The Boba tea wasn't great either. I wonder if this place used to be great. I don't recommend...

Always super yummy. Generous portions. I love everything I have tried here. I would go here daily if I could! The new items - fried chicken wings (original and spicy) are delicious !

This was my first time ordering from Mr Bento and it and it certainly won't be the last. I ordered the Spicy Tenoba Yakisoba with a side of Ex Veggies On Yakisoba on to the side, (the dish itself doesn't come with veggies). The results were extraordinarily fantastic, the portions of chicken to noddles and sauce was spot on, as were the quality of the noddles, chicken and sauce following with a pairing of their Coffee boba tea which was the cherry on top for the meal. If you haven't tried this spot out, I'd highly recommend it as your next spot to order from.

Great food, nice clean atmosphere, and super friendly staff! I've lived in the area a couple years now and never stopped in until recently. We're on a health kick and their chicken salad is a winner when you're looking for something delicious and reasonably low carb. Give them a try!

Solid bento...i always get the spicy chicken! We also like the beef yakisoba! Service is good and fast!
