Fun spot that has just added an indoor mini golf course!!! Beautiful Tiki bar cocktails!! Food was delicious with eye-catching presentation. They have 2 story outdoor space. We will be back soon. Server was friendly.

Stopped in before a LOU CITY game for lunch- the burger was fantastic as well as the fried rice! There were several interesting things on the brunch and lunch menu that we will be back to try before another soccer game!

Amazing spot! It's rare to find a tiki spot where they do as well as this spot. Keep up the great work!

Creative spot with amazing food and tiki cocktails. This is by far, the best place in Kentucky!
Amazing hard work and dedication created this fun and tasty tiki bar/restaurant.

Went here to try out the new putt putt course, and it was absolutely fantastic. It's great to have something new to do and bring friends to in town! It is extremely new and they are working out kinks but they put a lot of time and money into the game and it's going to be stellar. It's pretty affordable, about $16 a person for 9 rounds. The aesthetics and ambiance are on point and the staff is very friendly. I will say the drinks need tweaking they are extremely bitter and need a little more sweetness or rum forward flavored. I loved the garnish. I'll definitely be back and will try the food!

We came for brunch one day and we were the only people! Great decor and love the drinks menu. When they say it's a tiki place, they really leaned into the tiki part of it.

Gluten free and vegan options are available, which makes this a great place to eat at! The portions are huge, so you definitely are full and happy when you leave.

Parking along the side of the street and there's a small lot in the back of the building.

South Seas far and away disappointed me against what I expected and hoped for. For a tiki bar the overall vibe felt more sports bar than tiki. We ordered a jungle bird to do a check on how the drinks were and we're dissatisfied right away. The drink was on draft, which isn't a problem, but I would hope it would have been dialed in right. The balance was mostly bitter with too much Campari. I personally don't mind, but a jungle bird this was not. You couldn't taste any of the other flavors like pineapple rum etc. also, served in a plain glass stuffed with ice and it became tiki with an umbrella I guess? No flair, no charm, no tiki.

We grabbed a chips and guacamole as well. The guacamole was fine. The chips were nicely salted and a great crisp thickness.

But to the main matter at hand. The place smelled like farts. Like someone blew up the bathroom behind the bar. It was constant and awful. We finished quick and got out of there to never return.

Staff were slammed but nice through the business. Just wish it was better executed and didn't smell like farts.

      Jungle Bird?

This is my second time at this restaurant. The first time I visited it was for drinks only and this time I tried food and drinks and with a large group of friends.

Our server Emily was on point. When I arrived she came right over and asked what I wanted to drink. I was indecisive so she gave me a couple of samples to try. I went with the margarita on the rocks. Our table had guacamole and chips and loaded tots. The guacamole was really good. I didn't eat the ladies tots because someone said they were spicy and I can no longer have spicy food.

I ordered two fish tacos and a side of regular tots. Everyone ordered something different so I was able to try a few things. I did feel like the fish tacos were overpriced. They were $5.50 each.

Also the last time I was there, they mentioned that mini golf would be on the roof. That was in the spring and they are still working on getting that complete. I'm excited to go back and try it. A plus is that they have happy hour every day except Sunday I believe from 3p-6p.

When I heard that this restaurant accommodated for gluten free diets, (I have celiac) I ran! And I'm so glad I did. The food is delicious, the drinks are great, and there food is safe for me to eat! I also love the cute decor and atmosphere.
I highly suggest trying this restaurant out! It's new & local and the food is delicious!

I was excited to see there's a tiki restaurant in Louisville b/c I've been to others in different cities and they're usually really good. This one was a bit of a let down. We came for a birthday brunch a few weeks ago. The decor is cute. The vibe is very 1960's California. I don't drink but was excited for a mocktail (tiki places gotta have fun mock/cocktails with umbrellas, right?) I had the server make me a mai tai mocktail. She came back and said something about not having a certain ingredient so she added another to make it sweeter, which I didn't fully understand. I sipped it and it was... not good. It was way too sour like she put too much sour mix in it or something. I should've sent it back but didn't want to be difficult so I sipped on it some as others in my group enjoyed their cocktails.

The menu is pretty limited. It doesn't really give tiki or Caribbean. Most of the menu items are Mexican food. And then they randomly have lumpia, so Filipino. Where is the jerk seasoning? It seems they mainly have different kinds of tacos, breakfast classics like pancakes and eggs, and then they added spam or ham to some menu items and called that tiki?? The menu is very confusing in terms of what it's trying to go for.

However, the food wasn't bad, which is why I gave 3 stars. We got guacamole and it was really good and a generous portion. I got the chilaquiles, which were pretty good. But it didn't really feel like I was eating at a tiki place. These are all menu items I would get at a Mexican breakfast spot.

The server was nice and we had generally good service. But we did have an incident where the kitchen misunderstood an order, confusing the tropical fruit plate for the tropical pancakes. The server explained the mix up, let our friend have the fruit plate for free, which was a nice gesture, and she said the pancakes would be right out. Everyone else had their food and we kept waiting and waiting for her pancakes. I get a misunderstanding, but we then saw another table receive multiple orders of pancakes delivered to their table long after our friend had been waiting for hers. It was unfortunate, which is why I took off a few stars. I'm glad we tried it out but don't think we'll be back.

Everyone needs to check out South Seas.

First off, their cocktails are ...all syrups and juices made in house and their (mostly all) tiki themed. My favorite is the Diablo, fair warning it's tequila based.

Next, food. Are you a brunch person? They've got it. Check out the churro pancakes. Not in the mood for pancakes? They've got a great salad named after the restaurant. It's packed with flavor and toppings; you can always add a meat if you'd like. Tacos are always a good call and they do them well. Al Pastor is a crowd favorite and I'd also recommend the Baja Fish, light and fluffy fried to perfection.

Lastly, churros. Need I say more? Okay I will, dark chocolate dipping sauce. Have I got your attention? Dulce de leche. Alright if that doesn't have you drooling, I don't think we can be friend.
I'd stop by South Seas just for this sugar cinnamon goodness and you should too.

Tip - heading to Lynn family stadium? This is in walking distance. Great spot for food before or after a game!
