Service was the best I have ever had. So fast it was almost stressful. Food was brought out before we finished ordering.

I have heard good things about Superhot so we decided to try it out on a Sunday night. Superhot is located in downtown Mountain View with street parking being the most likely option. You can join the waitlist via Yelp and check in when you arrive. They won't seat you until your party is fully there. There is a 90 min dining limit.
The menu is stacked with great options like beef, kurobuta pork, noodles, dumplings, vegetables, meat pancake, and so much more. The selection here is fantastic not to mention the sauce bar which has everything you could think of...including EGGS. EGGS. IN THIS ECONOMY?? I was so pleasantly surprised. The sauce bars offers the staple sauces like your standard sesame oil, korean pepper sauce, peanut sauce, but its the other sides that make a huge difference in a meal.. like the radish paper, rice paper, pickled jalapenos, these small things really make a meal.
First impression: This place is LOUD. You'll hear dishes being slammed into cleaning carts, dishes thrown everywhere. If you're sensitive to noise, I suggest you sitting further inside the restaurant further away from the cashier counter.
Recommendations:
* herbal pork broth- The broth itself is light and aromatic. The broth pairs well the fish fillet and vegetables adding just a touch of savory flavor.
* wagyu beef - very marbled and soft. Each bite melts in your mouth.
* marinated finger ribs - a tad on the salty side but so good with a side of rice paper. The pieces were chopped really small and uneven. The sugar also burns fast so lower the heat on your grill when you cook this one.
* galbi - sweet and a touch salty. The marinade was tasty though.
* rock fish - This is perfect with the hotpot. The fish is silky soft and melts effortlessly.
* the icecream served during our visit was strawberry and it was impressive. The icecream was rich, creamy, filled with real strawberry pieces. It was the perfect end to our meal.
Would not recommend:
* brisket - super tough and chewy despite looking as marbled as it did. That was pretty disappointing.
*biang biang noodles- I'm usually a huge fan of biang biang but these were so doughy and dense. I prefer the noodles thinner and more silky and delicate than starchy.
Honestly the meat quality, the option to have both KBBQ and hot pot at the same time, an impressive sauce bar, free quality icecream at the end. There's really nothing to complain about. Superhot definitely stands out because you get great bang for your buck and so much selection that it will absolutely overwhelm you.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 11 mars 2025
What's the worst thing about ayce hot pot/kbbq? Leaving knowing you didn't get your money's worth and not being full. Honestly I'm hovering between a 2.5-3 stars.
I think it's really hard to mess up hot pot and kbbq. Because the restaurant just has to supply the ingredients. But you can mess up when you decide to compromise the quality. They decided to focus on an expansive menu but everything tasted very low quality. The cuts of the meat were not good and a lot of fatty pieces to the point I spit out some. Even the sauce wasn't good. Idk what brand of sesame oil they use but it was not it. To clarify, the food was not terrible but at the price point of $36.99/person and going out for an experience, you don't want to settle for "it was edible".
The service was ok. It was one of those where you can tell they tried to be good but they were stretched thin. It was an awkward dining experience because you are capped at 5 meat plates and 5 veggie/seafood plates. The meat plates were so small - smaller than even an individual size. We tried to order more but was told we have to finish everything on the table first. But by the time you're done with your first round of meats (which srsly won't take long esp among 4 adults), they're too busy to take your next order and the pattern repeats after every round. I think that's really bad esp at an ayce restaurant with a time limit. They also forgot some of my orders and I got things I didn't even order - yet they input everything into the iPad. I think it's a mistake with the kitchen and then there's a different wait staff who serve the food, not the same people as the ones who take the order. 3/4 of us also said the broth was lacking in flavor and got salt from the sauce bar to season it. I got tom yum and it looked oilier than normal and felt very unhealthy - very salty and sour. Obviously I wasn't one of the 3 who needed more salt to my broth.
The best thing was the ice cream. The ice cream is actually a pleasant surprise and not the generic soft serve stuff most ayce restaurants have.
If there was another hot pot or kbbq restaurant in mountain view, I think I would most certainly go there. It just happens this is the only one in MV and serves both.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 6253939823 févr. 2025
Definitely still popular. This has been here for a minute and service is still super fast. Quality is definitely 6-7/10. Price increased a little since last time I was here but well worth it.
Have to say it is hard to bbq and have hotpot lol.
More or less, each round of ordering is 5 plates of meat and veggies.
Their noodles now come in two strands instead of the one... makes me feel dated
Ice cream flavor at the end is whatever they are serving during that period.
They're definitely generous with their portions! Worth it .Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - 13 mars 2025
I've came here a few times years ago and it's still as great as I remember! I love that there are so many options on the menu from things to put in your hot pot, kbbq, and even hot ready to eat foods. The portions sizes are great. I def wouldn't not recommend coming here with a larger group only because I feel like ordering would be a mess lol but overall loved the experience, food, and service!

Interesting spot! I went on a Sunday right when they opened for my birthday. I thought this spot was clean and modern. Their service was also great. I was a little disappointed by their sauce bar as it was underwhelming, but still had the necessities.
Their meat choices were decent and their marinate was good. I felt a little underwhelmed in terms of their BBQ but loved the hot pot choices. They noodles were delicious and I loved the other options beyond the meats.
Overall, I thought this place was just OK as I have high expectations for hotpot and BBQ. If in the area, I would be back but wouldn't go out my way as there are plenty of other spots nearby. However, I feel say service was good in my opinion.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 9 janv. 2025Avis mis à jour
We went yesterday, and it was absolutely amazing. I've tried a few others in the area, but in my opinion, this one is unmatched. My ultimate obsession is Thai Tom Yum, and I've never had a better one outside of Thailand--except here! I even go there just to have the soup!
Normally, they don't seat you until your whole group arrives because the 90-minute timer starts as soon as you sit down. But our server last night was so kind and seated us right away so my little girl wouldn't get tired or cold waiting outside. A big thank you to them for their thoughtfulness!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 030 déc. 2023Avis précédentThe best Bbq in the city! I have tried a lot of places but this one is awesome!

What a great experience at Superhot. What I loved best about kbbq and a hot pot combo is there are endless combinations and that's exactly what superhot gave us. There's an all you can eat option which is roughly $45 per person. Endless meats from red wine lamb to spicy pork to octopus, side of soup for your hot pot and anything you wanna put in it. Everything was affordable and kbbq is always just a fun time. There is a side bar that's help yourself so you don't have to ask for multiple sauces and such. All in all the service was wonderful, parking is a breeze and the establishment knows what it's doing. Def adding it to my list to return.

This is my 2nd time here - both times with a group of friends. Both times, we were seated right before a rush of people came, so I guess we got lucky!
This is an awesome place to have lunch/dinner if you like both bbq and hotpot, but can't make up your mind. There's plenty of ingredients - both meat and veggies - as well as side dishes, like soup dumplings and chinese donut sticks. Everyone will find something they like.
All of us opted to have the tom yum soup base - it's delicious! I do find that the amount of soup broth given is very conservative and I asked for more from the beginning. After a confusing conversation with our server, more broth was brought out to us right after we got our pots. I highly recommend asking for more broth right away if you intend to eat a lot of the hotpot portion of the meal.
The meat and veggies were all in good quality. I enjoyed trying all the other side dishes and would go back to try the ones I haven't yet. At the end of the meal, we are asked if we want ice cream - the answer is always yes. There's only one flavor a day, so you don't get to choose, but it's a nice sweet to finish off the meal.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0
