The Gulf on Okaloosa Island

Omg must go watch the sunset ! Food is great. Drinks are refreshing. There's a souvenir store. The drinks are ordered at the bar. Prices are reasonable.order the food at the counter, they give you an alarm thingy when it's ready to be picked up. The view is spectacular n makes the drinks n food even yummier.

Looks like a Great place to hang out n lounge w a couple of drinks. Digging the positive vibes here. Could have stayed here for a couple hrs. or more but took my order to go. Will have to come back n play some beach v-ball or table tennis. Maybe nxt time. Friendly staff were very cool n inviting. Food was good.

The boardwalk with beach access is a popular place for lunch and beach goers with plenty of parking. Beware in season the lots fill up fast and you may circle around until you can find a place sometimes a walk to beach access. If you love coffee try the coffee shop which roasts their own beans for a great tasting cup of coffee. There is a handicap ramp for wheelchairs with plenty of handicap parking.
You can sit on a bench or at a restaurant and watch beach volleyball and enjoy the views

We came in around noon one day and spent a while here.

Drinks: Spicy BlackBerry Jalapeño Margarita, Surfs Up, Strawberry Basil Irish Mule, Blackberry Seasonal Mojito, Absolut Mule, The Gulf Old Fashioned, and Gulf Rita. Those are the drink we ordered randomly during our visit. Drinks are between $11-$15.50 - roughly. Very expensive for VERY WEAK pours you get. The drinks also have about a whole lime per little cup. After all of that neither of us even had a buzz.

Food: Shrimp Tacos, Loaded Fries, Lobster and Shrimp Roll, Chips n Queso, and Chip n Guacamole. The food was amazing. If this review was solely based on food it would absolutely have 5-stars.

Service: we sat at the bar while there. The bartender in the afternoon was great. I believe his name was Mike. The afternoon bartenders didn't pay any attention to us.

Scenery: wow. You're right on the bay with beautiful views.

Impression: although we left fairly disappointed, the food was outstanding. We would come back to eat.

Scenic view of the lagoon, lots of space with plenty of tables. Walk up and order your food, same with the centrally located bar. The boiled crab legs were fantastic, really well seasoned with plenty of potatoes and corn on the side.

The service at The Gulf is excellent. The food is good, but they need to improve the options on the menu. The atmosphere is fantastic! We go often and will continue to go in the future!

Not too crowded for a Saturday night so seating is easily found. Seat yourself and order at the counter and they bring it to you. Found a great spot on one of the lounges. Shrimp was a bit exaggerated but food was overall great and left satisfied. Spent the evening watching the sunset with my boyfriend, drinking cocktails and enjoying one of the few decent food in this area. Not too over priced either.

We stopped in for lunch just as they opened. The Bloody Mary drinks were top notch, and the service and food were also outstanding. We had a lobster-shrimp roll on a brioche bun and the seafood gumbo. A little too early to comment about the atmosphere, but we'd certainly return to find out.

awesome tacos. Relaxed environment. You can sub taco for rice and beans instead. yummm!
