We rented the largest truck they have, and part way through the day we realized it wouldn't be big enough. UHaul rented us a second smaller truck, and I was so glad I didn't have to reserve it. We got the move done with trouble. The people at UHaul were courteous and helpful.

The manager at this location, mike, is super knowledgeable and helpful. I have used many services here and they helped me with all of them. I definitely recommend this location!

Shocking price inflation at the end of the transaction. Especially when online we were quoted something much more affordable. Shady, false advertising when it comes to picking up, and dropping off 'anywhere' ..just not without a massive fee? $400-500 to drop off in another city? Or $100 in gas to get it back to the original location? Was told it was the best option when we originally inquired. Seems as though the Uhaul business has changed dramatically since covid. Or perhaps it was just this location. Or maybe that misunderstanding is on us? However it has made us completely reconsider using uhaul services ever again. Wonder what your competitors are up to..

Sloppy
First I purchased a hitch on the U-Haul web site and scheduled an appointment for last Friday. The next day U-Haul reschedules the appointment without asking me if it was doable.
I get to the 11am appointment and ask how long will it take and should be an hour. But the service guy needs to take his lunch so maybe two. Wait, I have an appointment? Doesn't matter eh?
Two hours and 22 minutes later they text me started it's ready for pick up. I pick up the jeep and drive back to work. Later, driving to errands I noticed a more hotrod sound coming out of my jeep. That's cool but something is wrong with the exhaust system. It should not sound so cool.
Early the next day I tried to call the U-Haul location directly but was pushed to national. Told them the problem and they tried to contact the GM at the location but did not get ahold of anyone. National told me to take jeep back to the location and have them check it.
Jumped into the jeep, started it then piped the hood, maybe I can localize the problem before taking it in. Sure enough, there was a part of the intake system that needs to be removed to get to the battery, it was sitting on top of the engine. Sloppy!

Hi Larry Hall. You advertise propane for sale. The U-Haul 800# confirmed this location has propane available. Your employee said you don't have propane available then admits he doesn't know how to fill a tank. Which is it?
Your customers don't like being lied to. If your customer service line doesn't care that you operate your business this way then I guess that's just the way it is. The team was fantastic, friendly, and super responsive! I needed a hitch installed and ordered in less than a week. Josh and the team were able to rush order a hitch for my car and get me in for an install! He was super knowledgeable about what the job required. Great prices, same hitch as rack attack was going to but for less.

The five stars is really for the general manager Larry Hall and Muad. Two of my favorite Uhaul employees. I've rented storage units and moving trucks from all Uhaul facilities West of the river. I continue to rent in this location for the easy access, lower prices and the best customer service! Larry Hall is a top-notch manager and with Muad they make a solid team with the customer service as their primary goal. It's very much appreciated!

Pass on using U-Haul at the Tigard location.
My original quote was $49.
Before I left the lot I noticed the truck had 554 miles, not 534 like the paperwork said. I went back inside and the rental lady said they'd adjust it.
I went 10 miles over my quote and filled the gas tank.
When I dropped off the truck they told me it would be $130. I was shocked considering, but figured a quote was a quote.
The guy informed me my mileage was 534 when I left and that's why I had the charge. I showed him my note from the manager saying she adjusted the miles. He told me that didn't matter and that it was $130.
Finally, after a lot of back and fourth he said "okay, fine, $109."
I left and called UHaul. They refunded me $17. Whatever, not the greatest victory but at least it was something.
Early this morning I log into my bank account and I see a $59 charge. Just a random $59 days later.
I call again- I wait another 30 mins on hold.
The rep I get tells me I got hit for $109 because I had the truck two days - I had it for 3 hours on Friday. Then tells me that when they refunded the $17, they had to put another security hold on my card for $59. She explained she had no idea why they even did it that way and that the money will go back into my account in 7 business days.

I had rented a 6x12 trailer from this location. The trailer was hooked up and coupled by a uhaul employee. Not once did I remove the trailer from the hitch. While driving with a full payload, the trailer decoupled and slammed into the back of the truck. The general manager blamed me and charged me the damage to the trailer. While only a 96 dollar charge, the principal that uhaul would not own the fact that the clip on the coupler or installation of the trailer was faulty, and instead blamed me, has lost all of uhaul a lifetime customer. My family has been driving uhaul since as long as I can remember and I have been renting them and driving them since I was 16. I will no longer rent or drive from uhaul and I am in the process of moving my storage elsewhere
I'm sure I'm just 1 customer out of millions, and the general manager Larry, definitely made me feel like that. Just out to get his 96 bucks. Absolutely horrible customer service. I scheduled appointment online for hitch install only to be told by the guys behind the counter that my service was canceled. I asked them how that was possible without informing me? They said "not our problem, talk to corporate". I told them I confirmed over the phone that my appointment was good. And have order confirmation email. They said "Can't help you". I told them this was unacceptable and asked them as a customer how they can make it right. They said " corporate screwed up, talk to them". I said are you all not on the same team? They said "not really ". I finally gave up and asked to refund me. They both said " thank God"! By then I was really offended. I filed a complaint worth corporate only to be told that they cannot validate what happened in the u-haul front desk and sorry all they could do is refund me. I said, I already asked for refund why wasn't it already done. I have still yet to be refunded so now have my bank involved. What a JOKE this location is. AVOID at all costs. No empathy. No care for customers. You all can do better than waste your money & time at this facility!
