My husband and I stopped here for an early dinner date night. The ambiance is comfortable and upscale at the same time. Cozy and rustic but classy. I love the canning jars and other farmhouse details.

Our server was Inya (pronounced like in ya face) and she was very sweet and super attentive. She gave us a brief description of the theme and story of the restaurant.

We chose the charcuterie board and bison chili as our appetizers. Everything on the charcuterie board was delicious and well paired. The bison chili had wonderful flavor and was very filling. We were given a loaf of blue cornbread that was baked in a mason jar and served with whipped butter. The cornbread was to die for - I wish we would have asked for more.

For our entree I had the 14oz New York strip which was perfectly cooked and had a delicious salty crust. My husband had the 18oz dry aged bone in Ribeye which was also perfectly cooked and had its own unique flavor. The roasted Brussel sprouts were well seasoned and well cooked. The baked macaroni and cheese was just alright - way too much runny sauce and not enough pasta.

The butter pecan old fashioned was delicious and Inya recommended the 2022 Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon which was delicious. My husband got the Phoenix Down which was very strong and did not have a great flavor.

We had no room for dessert but the dessert menu looked delicious. We are hoping to come back for a family dinner sometime soon.

I stayed at the Oxford hotel and received $10 per night to use at the Urban Farmer, which is connected to the hotel, so I went for breakfast and dinner.

Breakfast - I sat at the bar and everything was perfect. Service was excellent. Coffee delicious. Pancakes absolutely perfect.

Dinner - I sat at a table and was less thrilled.

Service: I tried to ask the server what drink would go well with my dinner selection and he misunderstood (?) and started telling me about the menu. I'd already said I was going to get the skirt steak, simply because it was the smallest on the menu (8oz) & I couldn't eat more than that, but he still tried to tell me how amazing the bison was (18 and 20oz). He was quite pleasant and did come at appropriate times, so maybe it was just a misunderstanding. And he did tell me that I could get half order sides, which was helpful.

But then I heard the women at the table next to me ask for just 6oz of steak. I wish I'd known that I could get that small of an amount, but it was not listed on the menu, nor did my server mention it.

Food: The twigs & berries cocktail simply didn't work. I'm not sure if lime should ever go in a bourbon drink, but it did not work in this one, nor did lime go well with steak, but there weren't many other bourbon options.

The caesar had sardines, which was a great touch, and excellent quality dressing. I loved the cornbread. The mac & cheese was good. The steak's quality was perfect. Maybe a little oversalted, or maybe I was just thirsty. I felt the steak took a while to arrive, given the place was 80% empty, but it came perfectly medium, as I'd requested it, and was quite good.

Overall, it's a good restaurant. But for the extremely high prices, I'd expect closer to perfection. I'd had better experiences elsewhere in Denver at lower prices.

Already grabbed dinner so just got some beers and dessert. That said, atmosphere/service was great, beer was ice cold, and butterscotch sundae was killer.

This review is for Happy Hour. The food wasn't great, the deviled eggs, meatballs, charcuterie all were unimpressive to me and I've had much better elsewhere. The Gouda on the charcuterie was good. The meat was meh, the skunky cheese was good with the honey to offset it but they only gave two drops of it, lol.

The BEST things was their French fries, yep deep fried potatoes at a place like this. Really good fries. The drinks are a great deal for HH at $6 each!

Those are the two best things about HH!

Next time I'm gonna try a slider with the fries.
Many things on their HH menu that are on the regular menu are about the same price anyway. Not very "happy", lol. Kind of a shame when I see that.

The first bartender was kinda weird. Not friendly or welcoming. Couldn't make eye contact which is a weird tick to have when you're a bartender.

Really enjoyed this spot all around. Our son wanted steak for his birthday and we wanted a casual spot that would be okay with two kids casually dressed. This place was the right spot for us.

We walked in and you can tell that this is a spot you could bring a date too, have a business dinner, or just a casual dinner. It isn't pretentious but has a nice vibe as well.

We got sat towards the back where we had a nice view of the charcuterie station. It was pretty cool they have a charcuterie expert making personalized boards for you. If we weren't so focused on eating lots of meat, we probably would have gotten some.

Our waiter came by, walked us through the menu. Although we didn't plan on drinking, he described the drinks really well so we ended up getting the butter pecan old fashioned and the farmer. Both were excellent and I imagine all the drinks are good options.

We ordered the chilled shrimp which comes with 3 pieces but they added a 4th piece because there were 4 of us (score!). The shrimp was unexpected in its preperation. Subtle use of spices and the pickled kohlrabi added great textural context. Not too heavy and a great starter for a heavy steak meal. While we were waiting for the main course, they brought out a complementary blue corn bread in a small mason jar. It was delicious, sufficiently moist for corn bread and also not too heavy to add to the meal. Our kids couldn't get enough of it.

For the main course, we ordered the New York Steak Tasting with the wagyu and then added the regular (non-bison) ribeye to share between 3 of us. My wife got the striped bass and added one scallop since she couldn't choose between the two. It's nice to be able to add various pieces to your meal. The bass and the scallop were delicious which is great for non-meat eaters but I would definitely order beef here above all else.

They brought out the steaks and while they explained to us which one was which, I forgot pretty quickly. What I remember was that the wagyu was the best. Tender, cooked medium rare, plenty of flavor. Not quite melt in your mouth but still quite juicy. The ribeye was probably my next favorite but also not the best ribeye I had. It didn't quite have the great tenderness that some of my favorite ribeyes have. A little chewy (although not a lot). That doesn't mean the remaining steaks were bad. Quite the opposite. But I just enjoy more tender steaks and the grass fed steaks tend to require more of your chewing power.

We got the asparagus and the potato puree as sides. The aspragus was fine, not bad but not especially memorable. The potatoes were a big hit for the kids since they love mashed potatoes. This was creamy but not heavy and worked out pretty well as a side.

They brought out the butterscotch sundae for our son's birthday for free which was a nice touch and the dessert I wanted to try the most. It was delicious and a great twist on a classic dessert. We also shared the cheesecake and you could tell they weren't using storebought cream cheese given the slight sourness you get only from authentically made cream cheese. That said, I didn't love it.

All in all, this was a wonderful meal. Great place to celebrate our kid's birthday and although it was pretty expensive, it was a memorable night.

Fairly overpriced for what it is.

This is my second time going here, and maybe we just had a different, lesser experience this time, but wouldn't really recommend.

The waiter felt very nonchalant and almost more like we were a bother. Felt like he expected us to know enough to not ask questions and when we did ask, he didn't elaborate and left us feeling like "ok, thanks for nothing". Which also left us feeling rushed and inexperienced when ordering, which is odd because I am very familiar with a upscale restaurants.

The wine is obviously overpriced. So most people went with cocktails. If you go off menu, they seemed very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the butter pecan old fashioned. It was so good, and perfect for a cool winter night...if you get it neat.

The food was good and shareable. My friend had the roasted chicken, but the smoke flavor was a little overpowering, you didn't get the sweet hint you expect in a roasted chicken dish. The ribeye was a little tough. Highly recommend the corn. They were out of the mushrooms, but they sound delicious.

Overall, I don't know...just didn't get the warm and fuzzy from this place. If you get the right waiter, ask about the bees, the restaurant has kind of a cool story.

Located in the historic Oxford Hotel near Union Station this place is a gem. Visited on a weeknight with some associates from out of town. Service was great. Fun cocktail menu and seriously yummy food. They specialize in steaks however the bison, salmon and scallops all received rave reviews at our table as well. Side dishes were also tasty. It's a bit on the pricey side but did not disappoint. Looking forward to going back and trying the steak tasting menu.

PS: If you save room for a drink after dinner pop into the Cruise Room Bar at the Oxford. You can't get Art Deco like that anymore!

This is your typical high end steak house. The food was just like any other. Nothing special than the rest. The service was good tho.

Wow! We honestly only ended up here because we were staying at the Oxford and got a free drink voucher, but we were sos surprised by how amazing it was! The steak was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Their blue bread that comes in a jar was such a fun and different concept , but packed with flavor!!! We tried several apps and loved each one more than the next. Our server was so sweet and saw us using backup batteries to charge our phones since we were about to travel and offered to charge them for us at the host stand so we could keep our charge on the backup batteries. He also offered to hang and take care of our bags. I will definitely be back!

Love LOVE this restaurant! We were in town for a wedding and staying at Union Station. This lovely spot was just up the road, maybe 2 blocks away, with an perfect breakfast menu first thing in the morning. The mimosas are large, strong and not too sweet. I had the french toast which was exactly what I needed on a Saturday morning in February with incredibly kind service. I wish I remembered her name but she was a delight. You must add this place to your list when you visit Denver for a wonderful morning start to your day.
