Nice employees, WAY too expensive. I took my 2 cats in for a routine check up with shots. When I checked out I was told it was about $250. Awesome, I thought, right on budget. Then I check my bank statement today and I see a charge of almost $500, so it was $250 PER cat which #1 was not clear and #2 is WAY too expensive for a routine visit. I've spent less at emergency vets. Very disappointed. Will not be returning.

This is a fine vet but I found it a little pricier than some of the others around. The doctors and nurses were nice and knowledgeable.

I just moved to Naperville and needed a new vet today for my dog. It's great that vca has enough coverage available that they were able to see my dog same day. My dog hates the vet, and I think she was calmer than usual because this clinic is calm. From the receptionists, to the vet tech, to the vet. The vet did a very thorough exam, so I feel like it cost a little more than my old vet, but she did not push extra tests. Happy to have this clinic available.

For the past 15 years, my dogs have been seen by a vet who is a family friend. He recently retired and I've worried that the personal touch and compassionate care that my good girl Greta had received was gone. Based on neighbors' recommendations I decided to try Border Terrace. Our first visit today was outstanding. From receptionist to tech to Dr. Domeracki herself, we were treated with professionalism, courtesy, and kindness. Everything regarding my dog's exam was explained in a manner that a layman could understand. We have found our new Vet!

We had an amazing first experience at this VCA, Dr Hoffman and Julie treated my dogs with such wonderful care! They were so patient and friendly and it was just amazing how they managed to calm my choc lab Forest to have an ear cleaning, which I always seem to struggle with at home - he actually seemed to enjoy it! lol They are real miracle workers! And what's more is they didn't try to sell me on any further unnecessary treatments or charges. I'm so excited to have a wonderful new clinic for my boys!

On a Sunday, our 13 y.o. corgi developed symptoms I feared was due a stroke. Due to Covid, I couldn't get him in at my local vet's office that day, but was given the phone number for VCA in Aurora, 45 miles away. The staff was extremely kind and caring. They apologized for the long wait due to the large case load they were experiencing.
Thank you, staff at VCA!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Information sur le responsable du commerce

My family has used VCA for my entire life for our family dog, so I naturally brought my dog here as well after coming home from school. As a recent *broke* college graduate the price is STAGGERING but the service is incredible. They are very very kind and provide great service, love my dog well but there is no way i can afford that. Would definitely recommend though!

I have a skitty kitty and a senior snooter. Both require some special handing when it comes to grooming and boarding. Boulder Terrace goes way out of their way to make things right. They have made special accommodations for both of my animals in the past, making changes that have earned them top honors in my book.
As I've mentioned in my previous reviews, all of the vets here are great. They have experience and all have comforting crate-side manners.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Information sur le responsable du commerce

I like the atmosphere and all the people that work there in their respectibe different capacities. Everyone seems to like working there and that employee satisfaction varies through to their clients. We have seen all of the vets and feel very good about each one. They will call you back the same day when you have a question, and they are patient, gentle and good listeners. Their love of animals is apparent.
*This post is an update. I previously mentioned a grooming and boarding concern and was contacted by a manager who listened to my concerns and told me about many changes that have been made to the cat room, including bigger cages and training by a cat behaviorist.
For grooming, I was told about abetter way to handle the appointments in the future, and the solutions sound great. I will not hesitate to try again. If you are concerned about leaving a sensitive, sick or elderly dog, tell them you need an "owner hold" appt. when you schedule and you will not need to leave your pet there before or after grooming.
If you are looking for an animal hospital where you will feel like family, look no further!6 janv. 2017Avis précédentI need to break this down into three separate areas: veterinary services, grooming services, and boarding. I have been very conflicted about leaving this review because I want to only say great things. I really like the staff and have complete confidence in the all of the vets, to whom I would give nothing but five stars. Dr. McLaren is patient and knowledgeable. He returns calls quickly and takes his time to listen and respond thoughtfully. The other vets are the same. I've never been disappointed to see any of them.
The receptionists and assistants are friendly and accommodating.
They also offer good office hours that accommodate most schedules, including some late night and Saturday appointments.
Grooming is available. They have only one groomer, who is very talented. He's probably the best groomer we've ever had, mostly due to his attention to detail. However, I am going to have to rate this service with only two stars. My dog (who is a senior) has come out limping for 24 hours after his last two appointments, either due to uncomfortable accommodations or because his nails were trimmed too short. The most recent time he emerged looking like he just escaped a zombie apocalypse. The groomer was no longer present, but the assistants told me that it had been very crowded and that a lot of dogs were noisy and barking all day. When they brought my old guy out to me, he acted as if he didn't recognize me, had a fixed, blank stare and was literally walking in circles. He was clearly traumatized and did not even notice when I offered him a treat!
I called the groomer the following work day and he told me my boy did not sit down once, but instead stood nervously by the door of his kennel all day. Keep in mind he was there for over 6 hours! He confirmed that they were crowded and noisy that day. I told him that I would have appreciated it if someone called me because I would have gladly skipped the bath and brought him home. He was also still wet when they brought him out to me, and this was in below 0 weather. That is not acceptable. They told me he was freaking out at the blow dryer, but this has been used on him many times without a problem. The issue was simply that the crazy, loud atmosphere was too much for him.
I love the vets and rest of the staff so much, I probably wouldn't have even mentioned the grooming incident, but I love animals too much to not warn others that for an older or more sensitive dog, this may not be the best place to have him groomed.
Also, I had a similarly unpleasant incident a couple of years prior when I had my cat boarded there for a few nights. . I had provided the staff with plenty of instructions because I know my kitty is skitty and was pretty sure she would be a bit nervous in the new surroundings. When I picked her up, she, too, was completely traumatized. She was balled up in the back of her cage, peeing herself. She had that same blank stare I recently saw on my dog. I called to let Dr. McLaren know about this the next day. He listened intently and offered an apology.
Come to think of it, I called to let them know about both of my bad experiences and I was never offered any money back or off of future services. To be honest, I wasn't looking for that. I was genuinely concerned about my babies and as I said, I am writing this to help others escape the same fate.
Needless to say, I am no longer planning to use any of their services other than vet visits and their pet pharmacy. - Erin V.Superior, États-Unis01276910 sept. 2016
We have been going to this veterinary clinic for a decade. We have seen two different doctors for our two cats, and can't express in words how grateful we are for the loving care they provided.
Our Little Lady Tiffany had a stroke this past May, and they got her in immediately to end her suffering. The empathy they displayed made this horrible day a little more bearable. Early in her life, Tiffy had required major surgery to remove a giant cyst from her tail. We had to visit quite frequently that summer, and were always greeted with a smile and treated like family.
Our other cat Kia is VERY skittish. She always pees all over the place, and the techs and vets never complain. Instead they cater to her special needs.
We are moving and I will miss Boulder Terrace so much. If I could give them six stars I would.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Information sur le responsable du commerce
