Vinyl Tap Bar And Grill

this place is.... interesting. but honestly it's a dive in the oak grove neighborhood so what can you expect. drinks are stiff and cheap and it's all women run from the bartenders to the cooks. i went shortly after things started opening up after covid with a friend and they did a pretty good job with everything cleaning wise, spacing things out, etc. I can't say as much for the patrons but hey, what can you do when you're at a tiny bar in a right leaning area of town. the ambiance is decorated with vinyl and they do live music too that seems to be bit a hit. the prices were the best part though.. top shelf tequila shots for less than $7?? down.

i doubt i'll be back considering i am never in this part of town but i recommend it if you're looking for a bar in this area.

I recently heard that Vinyl Tap is closing for good in August due to their lease not being renewed. This a sad discovery as their food and service are top notch! I sincerely hope and wish that the owners will feel our pain and open again somewhere else in Oak Grove.

We wanted a local place with a cool vibe and good food close to home. We stopped in on a Sunday after I saw a few reviews. WHAT A GEM!! Are waitress Carrie was super bubbly and very friendly! The band that performed were really good even though I'm not a country fan

This is a number 1 in my book! Good Great! The ladies work so hard serving everyone with a happy heart! Always go out of there way for us! Music is wonderful too!!

I went for the music and look forward to going back again. I should explain, rarely do I go to bars unless there is live music.

Pros:
Stage is plenty big for most sized bands.
Acoustics sounded good.
Menu is attractive.
Food is tasty.
Prices are competitive - my BFK was $6, perfectly tasty and perfectly priced.
Restrooms are large, modern and clean.
Staff are super friendly, efficient and attentive.
Other people, both regulars and newbies like me, were kind and polite.
Area for dancing is perfect, not too much and not to little.
Even though we were seated next to the outdoor smoking patio we did not smell the smoke every time the door opened.
Hundreds of album covers hang on the walls, many I owned myself at one time or another, so that made me happy.

Cons:
If they want to add something to be even better they could add a few regular height tables with chairs closer to the stage. Some shorter folks have a hard time at the bar height tables they favor.
They could add something sweet to the menu, certainly not necessary at all, but it is hard to come up with any cons.

Pretty cool place to have a drink and some bar food. Came here when they had live music and the music was great. A bit too loud to talk but the singer had an awesome voice. Didn't really see anyone dancing but would have liked to if there was. Not sure if that is a place for dancing. I really like the decor here. There are cool vinyls around the place filling up the walls. Makes for great conversation about the vinyls. The bartender was very friendly and gave us quick service. I plan to return again.

Temporarily living close to this neighborhood bar and really wanted to love this place! Good bar food, adequate drinks and beer on draft. Not to mention regular live music!
The service is hit and miss and while the effort is there they are slow at times (possibly due to understaffing). Always pleasant, just very slow at times.

Great place to go watch local bands. Always have a good time. Super nice staff and great food & drinks as well!

Rad place to get a drink on the weekends.
Bartenders are very easy to talk to and nice.
I really enjoy the paint on the all's and decorations that they use, a really good atmosphere to go either the vibes.

Live music on a lot of the weekends, I went only once and was VERY impressed by the blues band playing there.

Would recommend to a friend!

This bar is amazing!. All the ladies that work there are beautiful and funny and the coolest!!
Also the food is great too.
